I did it, or rather it is done now. After, I heard from the attack against our group from the rather bloodthirsty and win hungry Rheinland Military, I was worried but then angered.
I had the chance for one year, to destroy a MND Cruiser and did nothing...but, I corrected this mistake of my past.
After unloading the repair goods, I flew to the Kreuzberg Depot, where I took a shuttle to the Mannheim Station. It was rather difficult to get fake personal papers to fool the security guards on the Mannheim Station and even more difficult to pass the marines by the airlock.
I loved to fool my ex-comrades..David was never careful, because he drinks a lot after and before the duty. I tricked the code by the door with complete system failure which is quiet simple, if you know the stuff.
I thought, I left them well trained...Verdammt, I was a moron.
Anyway, after passing the rather easy obstacles on my way, the difficult part came....
The Excalibur is not really big, because it is heavily armored and filled with a lot radar and scanner systems....With a strange logo on them....
Anyway, knocked out one engineer and took him to the shower room, where I changed the clothes with him, and took a gas mask which hidden my face. On the way to reactor room, one marine asked me why I wear a mask...
I said, the reactor core leaking which is happen a lot of times. Even under my command, the reactor was unstable like a bottle shaken Rheinland Beer. That is also, the weakness of the ship. Only a screwdriver is necessary to cause a small chain reaction, and I did that. Threw it, exactly on the shield generator which is necessary to hold the core together...
This irony, this ship can survive hundred of torpedos and missiles.
But one simple screwdriver, can destroy the entire ship.
I knew, I would have only a small time window to get away, to my unlucky part and lucky part, they moved away from the station and behind the Planet....
The crack on the shield generator, I had only two minutes to leave ship. Which is was almost impossible. But, this time I had luck. A VR Osprey came, and attacked the Excalibur.
I guess, the Captain was surprised....but this caused the necessary distraction to get on an escape pod. I reached the pod, when one and half minute was over and when I launched I saw an explosion...
The captain must realized then, something would be wrong.....I said, to the Osprey he should, tractor me in and get away from the ship, before it explodes...
A nice feeling to get rid of the past....
Now I'm back on Bruchsal, and hope this retaliation...
I'll upload now, a few guncam shots from the Osprey.
As a final note, I'm sure they will need at least a few weeks to repair this wreck...at least for now, no more Excalibur and until then, I'll take my own ship and send him back to the hell where it came...
I'm not quite sure how or when yet, but it looks like the Raiders and the Oberst managed to hit Sturmgrenadier HQ with enough torpedoes to send it into the next star system. Score one for the good guys!
I also granted a couple of raider ships access to ourLugers. After what they went through there, I think they've more then earned them. But, hey, if anyone wants to try and pry eight Lugers off the Raiders, go for it. Just let me know beforehand, I'd like to watch. We're still tracking down Metropolis. Whoever built it did a nice number on the stealth features, but we should have a location soon, and then we can focus on getting everything back and running again.
Then maybe I can take that trip to Liberty.
End Message
"This is really sort of a personal project of mine."
- James Arland, on single-handedly engaging an enemy regiment.
After spending a long time in Bruchsal's medbay, often unconscious, it appears I've finally recovered from my last battle almost a year ago now. Hopefully I won't find myself in such pain and agony again in the future. My new ship might help with that. My old Eagle was completely destroyed, but I've now acquired a Sichel from our friends of the Landwirtrechtbewegung.
Now of course I'd prefer to have gone straight to the real work battling the forces of the kanzler, I've been lying around doing nothing for an awfully long time already, but since the doctor said I would actually have to stay in the hospital for at least another month or two to fully recover, I decided I'd make the guy happy and start of with a smuggling run across half of Sirius first.
I took the Arsenal had it haul various goods around, the main cargo however was a gigantic load of whiskey from our Molly friends to the Junkers at the Augsburg wreck (seeing what happened to the beautiful Munich system was horrifying I have to admit). Now of course I found my situation ridiculous smuggling that filthy brain-killing liquid, but taking it from our alcoholic allies in Dublin to those dirty Junkers seemed ethically justifiable. Attached here are the files concerning the transportation of the whiskey.
That's all for now.

Report #001: Radiation in Omega-49
'Tag,
It's Alex. I've managed to recover enough from the Acute Radiation Sickness to be able to report on what on earth happened, but unfortunately I still have to stay in the Med Bay for a bit longer
So I received a comm from Axel saying that the VWA Arsenal had gone and wasn't responding to any hails from him. So I followed him for a while until the ship reached the Omega-49 system, which at that point it stopped and drifted in space.
By the time I had got there, the ship had drifted for quite some time into the Barrier Nebula and I hailed the ship. Nobody in the ship was responding but the turrrets would fire at occasional Corsair rookies who tried to take a pass at it. Axel and I attempted to take down the shields in an attempt to forcefully board the ship but it fired at us. For some reason it let us board anyway after we guessed a password 'rememberzwickau'
After we got onboard the Arsenal we started a search through the ship for any people. Axel and I thought that it was awfully hot for a pitbull on the interior and when we got to the bridge, there was nobody there. I left Axel to do whatever it was he was doing with the console and I continued to search the ship. I checked all the crew's quarters, the cargo bay, the reactor room (which I later learnt was unshielded), the engine room, and the weapons room.
By the time I had gotten to the rescue room Axel had managed to re-activate the disabled radiation and reactor shields (which I didn't realise were de-activated until he turned them on) but we were already suffering from Acute Radiation Sickness. I fell unconscious in the weapons room and I'm not sure what happened until Steve had boarded and gotten me rad meds which I am extremely grateful for.
The Arsenal is now on Leipzig (which I strongly opposed), Axel is recovering on Zwickau, and I assume Steve is on Bruchsal.
I'm just not sure how the ship got there by itself. Where was the pilot on the ship? And why were all the systems disabled?

Report #014: VWA|Arsenal Recovery
Sparks here.
I've just finished inspecting Arsenal, so I've uploaded the flight recorder here for everyone to see. I'm not sure what good it might do, but maybe it'll help... Someone in the future. The ship itself should be okay to fly now. Most of the radiation had abated by the time the ship touched down, and the scrubbers took care of the rest before I got there. I've also removed the remote systems, so the ship won't fly without a person on the bridge from here on out.

VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *Alex boards the Arsenal*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Axel follows, leaving his ship on formation.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *Alex climbs out of his ship and pulls out a pistol*
*The inside of the ship is eerily quiet, the gentle hum of life support systems supplanted with the pulse of the reactor.*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Steve, we're on the Arsenal, no contact yet
*Cargo pallets squat in the darkness, the stench of fertilizer mingling with the stale air.*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Axel jumps from his ship, landing in the eeire ship*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Cargo Bay. Fertilizers everywhere.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Right. Follow me. *Alex walks down the hall*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Ja.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: We'll be fine Steve
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Axel follows behind Alex down the hall.*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: The bridge shouldn't be too far from here
*Axel and Alexander's footfalls echo on the bare steel of Arsenal's floor, the silent ship creaking with the motion.*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: I don't like this.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Where is das pilot?
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Or das body.
*Radiation gauges begin to creep up as they approach the rear of the ship.*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: I.. I don't know
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *He finds a door marked 'Bridge' and attempts to open it*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Did it just get.... warmer...?
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Ja
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Verdamnt. The door is locked
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Override codes? Do we have those?
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: I don't know for a pitbull
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Verdamnt.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *he curses under his breath as he realizes the heat is getting somewhat uncomfortable*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: I suppose we'll use the Rheinwehr's time-tested method
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *he starts kicking out the door*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: A little help?
*Radiation warnings pulse on the train's wall, the ancient yellow arcs shifting their glow to an angry red.*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Uh, just a second.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Let me just...
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Uh, nevermind.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Hm
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Move out the way *he places a device on the door and runs into another room*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Quick!
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Axel procedes to run with Alex*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Bridge is locked
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Blowing through
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Clear!
*The door a relatively flimsy construction of aging sheet metal and cheap polymers never stood a chance, and crumples like so much plastic.*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Oh
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Lets go
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Los.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: I can't stand this heat.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *He walks through the door onto the bridge*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: I'm.. sure it's just nothing
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Axel follows behind, hand firm on his gun.*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Hallo?
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Anyone in here!
*The room beyond is strangely bare, the ship's systems glowing in the gloom, a set of almost oversized databanks resting atop the bridge controls, cables running from one to the other.*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: There was someone on here
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Axel walks to a set of screens and studies them*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Ships don't just fly themselves out of Bruchsal
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Ja, someone had to be...
*A series of warnings flash atop the screen, the most recent read:*
VWA|Arsenal: [Connection lost: Engines disabled.]
VWA|Axel.Eichel: It's... lost connection.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: You any good at piloting a pitbull?
*The warnings continue: *
VWA|Arsenal: [Warning: Reactor shielding disabled. Are you sure you wish to proceed?]
*Someone has typed 'Yes.'*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Try and enable the containment systems
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Uh... I can try...
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: In fact, enable the engines
VWA|Arsenal: [Warning: Radiation shielding disabled. Are you sure you wish to proceed?]
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *he stumbles*
*Again, a typed 'yes' glows on the screen.*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *he slams a button on the console marked Engines*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: These messages are saying that someone turned off all of the shields and containment systems.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *try and turn them back on*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Wait.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Radation shielding is off.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: The heat...
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Well there's no radiation here
VWA|Arsenal: [Warning: Reactivating engines without containment can result in death. Are you sure you wish to proceed?]
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Nein
VWA|Arsenal: [Engines not activated.]
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *he presses a few more buttons on the console, in an attempt to enable some sort of containment*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Perhaps... we can reboot the system?
VWA|Axel.Eichel: If we-
VWA|Arsenal: [Radiation shielding, enabled. Reactor containment, enabled.]
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Ha!
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Mein god...
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Radiation shields are up
VWA|Axel.Eichel: You're a geinus, somehow!
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *shrugs* I just pressed things until it started
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Sparks would have your head for that.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Don't tell her!
VWA|Arsenal: [Systems active. Scanning archive.]
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Right, now that we're not dead, lets find this pilot, ja?
VWA|Arsenal: [Waypoint detected. Setting course.]
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: It's moving
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *falls over* What?
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Lets find the pilot
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *axel moves to one of the screens to check the coordinates of the waypoint.*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: I'm going to go to the captain's quarters
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *leaves the room*
VWA|Arsenal: [Destination: Gran Canaria.]
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Uh, I'll be a second.
------ New signal detected at this point. Looking at the later logs, it must've been Steve. ------
VWA|Steve.Harlow: Well, I'm finally nearing your last known coords. Anyone still on radio?
VWA|Arsenal: *Alexander left the bridge behind him, leaving Axel in the harsh glow of teh databanks.*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *he types a few things into the keyboard, redirecting the ship to the docking ring*
VWA|Arsenal: [New destination, acknowledged.]
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *sighs* I haven't found anyone yet
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: We're heading to Canaria
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Ja!
VWA|Steve.Harlow: What the hell happened on that ship?
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *he enters the Captain's Quarters, hands firmly on his gun*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: I wonder if we can get the communicators going again...
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *from within* We can't find anyone
*Plating groans as the ship comes about, coming to a halt at Canaria's mooring fixture.*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *falls over* We stopped?
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Ja, it looked as if we were going straight for the Planet.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Paranoia.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Hallo? Anyone here?
*The Captain's quarters, like the rest of the ship, are bare. The bed sits neatly made in the corner, cuboards empty.*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Verdamnt
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Axel, I'm heading for the reactor room
*Nothing within indicates anything amiss.*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Axel returns to the main console, flicking at the communication settings, hoping to turn it on*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: How do you work these things...
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: No idea
VWA|Steve.Harlow: Hey, anyone readin' me? This is really makin' me nervous.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *he enters the reactor room, hoping that it isn't damaged*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Ja?
VWA|Arsenal: [Local communications established. Long-range communication offline.]
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *opens his PDA* Hey
VWA|Arsenal: [Error: Out of range.]
VWA|Steve.Harlow: The hell is going on here? What happened on the Arsenal?
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: The pilot is missing
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: And the ship was floating in space
VWA|Arsenal: [Error: Remote access enabled. Reciever cannot be reached.]
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *into local settings* This is Axel, testing, testing.
VWA|Arsenal: This is Axel, testing, testing.
VWA|Steve.Harlow: Yeah, I read ya Axel.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *he types another message, responding to Steve: "Ja, we're in the Arsenal, I just managed to get the comms working."*
VWA|Arsenal: Ja, we're in the Arsenal, I just managed to get the comms working.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *he looks around the reactor room*
*The reactor, or what can be seen of it through the thick slabs of lead and dense polymer that form its shielding, appears unharmed. Radiation levels in the area; however, are still dangerously high.*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *sighs*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Maybe the engine room
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *he heads to the engine room*
*The engine room, located just a few metres from the reactor chamber, glows with the presence of displays.*
VWA|Steve.Harlow: Are you still lookin' around? You need another man on that ship?
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: I..its
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: It's odd in here
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: I feel sick
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *Shouting* Anyone here?
*Radiation warnings flash atop the majority of them, with the rest displaying normal readouts.*
VWA|Steve.Harlow: Yeah, got you on comms. Loud an' clear.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: There's nothing
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Axel looks around, before he types again: "Stay outside for now, I'll contact Alex and see how's he doing"*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Alex?
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Ugh.. what
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *shouting in the engine room* Hallo?
VWA|Steve.Harlow: Right. I'll be on standby....be careful in there. If it's been abandoned, there's probably a reason for that.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Are you ok? The bridge's communicators are working again.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: We could radio for help if we needed too.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *sighs*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *sits down*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *he walks slowly back to the hall*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: I... I feel... weak?
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Ja..
VWA|Axel.Eichel: This is... I don't like... uhhh
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Alex?
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Axel?
VWA|Steve.Harlow: Hey there, people.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Ja...
*On the wall, the radiation warnings continue to pulse.*
------ At this point, a Zoner convoy appears to have entered Gran Canaria's orbit. ------
(\^/)Sylus: Howdy..
Aika.Ryo: Uhh..hia.
Azumi.Tomoko: Hey....
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Steve, who's there
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Axel realizes the radiation is still rising*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Radiation....
VWA|Steve.Harlow: Some Zoner and freelancers it looks like. Seems alright.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *he walks into the other quarters*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Hallo?
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Axel rises to his feet and moves towards the radiation containment settings*
(\^/)Sylus: What brings you four out here?
VWA|Axel.Eichel: How do I...
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: A..Anyone in here?
*There was no answer from the empty crew compartments.*
VWA|Steve.Harlow: I ain't got the faintest idea what it really is.
VWA|Steve.Harlow: We've got an issue with the Arsenal. Our people are on board, but I don't really know what's goin' on.
VWA|Arsenal: [Containment, active. Warning: High radiation levels, detected. Safe dosage exceeded.]
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Axel searches the nearby decks for manuals*
(\^/)Sylus: Anything we can do to assist?
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *he staggers into the weapons room*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Hallo?
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Crap. Alex, get to das bridge. We need to....
VWA|Steve.Harlow: I....I honestly don't know. I don't even know what the situation is in there.

VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *Alex falls*
VWA|Arsenal: [Medical assistance is recommended.]
(\^/)Sylus: Well, good luck with it, we need to be going.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *he reaches the console and types another mesage: "Assist! SOS! Radiation has reached criticial points!"*
VWA|Steve.Harlow: Yo, if you people in the Arsenal are on radio....these people are asking if we need assistance.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *Alex passes out*

VWA|Axel.Eichel: *He wearily presses buttons, hoping to cause a reset*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Alex?!
VWA|Steve.Harlow: I don't have proper radio contact with them! I don't know what to do!
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Verdam...

VWA|Axel.Eichel: *He falls on the floor as his lunch begins to make it's way in and out of his stomach*
VWA|Steve.Harlow: *Jumping out of his ship, into the empty bay* Heeeellooooo?
*Only silence and the pulse of the reactor greets Steve, the restored power bathing the cargo bay in white light.*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Axel throws up violently.*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *Groans quietly*
VWA|Steve.Harlow: Man, is there some sorta inter-ship comm terminal or something?
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *His voice his a mere whisper* Heeelp
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *His PDA makes a high-pitched beeping noise*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Axel hears a high pitched sound repeating itself through the ship*
VWA|Steve.Harlow: *Making his way to the nearest exit* Where the hell am I going here. The bridge?
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *Alex's PDA's beeping comes from the Weapons Room*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Axel fumbles with his shaking hands to find his own PDA, turned on silent as usual*
VWA|Arsenal: [Lifesigns detected: Bridge. Gunnery control.]
VWA|Steve.Harlow: I heard that! *Steve tries to follow the sound* Jesus. This place looks desolate.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *The beeping gets louder*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Axel hears the announcement, but continues to fumble with his device till it makes a sound*
VWA|Arsenal: [Warning: Ambient radiation above safe levels. Please take protective measures.]
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *Groans softly*
VWA|Steve.Harlow: Yeah, yeah, I got you know! [Signal lost]! Well, it'll only be a second, right? *He approaches the weapons room*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Axel presses a button on his PDA, finally releasing a loud "VERDAMNT" that echoes through the ship*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *Alex looks in Steve's direction*
VWA|Steve.Harlow: *Steve quickly swallows a rad pill, before entering the weapons room* Damn, guys. You look like [Signal lost].
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *Softly* Thanks
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Axel starts to fall alseep in the puddle of puke and diahorrea*
VWA|Steve.Harlow: I-.....oh, I don't feel so good either. Let's go real quick, like, real-
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *Softly* Rad meds?
VWA|Steve.Harlow: *He stumbles across to the two, and tries to prop up their heads* Uh...Yeah, I think these are the right ones...
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *Groans* This is so embarrassing
VWA|Steve.Harlow: *Popping open a bottle from his pocket* Uh....I think these are the right ones. I really hope so.
--- Got another signature on scanners here. Engine signature matched the Nephytis, so I'm guessing it was a Corsair. Yep. Logs confirm. ------
[OPG]Medina: Hola
Traffic control alert: [OPG]Medina has requested to dock
VWA|Steve.Harlow: *He slips a pill in Alex' mouth* Let's hope it is.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *He swallows*
VWA|Arsenal: [Warning: Ambient radiation above safe levels. Please take protective measures.]
[OPG]Medina: Who are you people, and what are you doing outside of my planet?
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: T..Take me back to the ship

VWA|Arsenal: [Text only.] Steve?! Steve. Get pharamceuticals. Quickly. [End message.]
VWA|Arsenal: [Text only.] Radscmeds. help [End message.]
VWA|Steve.Harlow: *Shaking his head* Damn! This is not, absolutely not comfortable!
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *Louder* I.. I need to get off
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *Opens his PDA*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Bundschuh
VWA|Steve.Harlow: Where's the other guy, where's Axel?
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: The bridge
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *He attempts to get up*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *He stumbles over to the cargobay*
[OPG]Medina: What is this bundschuh?
VWA|Steve.Harlow: I'll-....I'll get 'im....get to the cargo....my ship....you'll be fine.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: *He crawls into his own ship and launches*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Well
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: We are revolutionaries in Rheinland
VWA|Arsenal: [Query detected.]
VWA|Arsenal: [The Bundschuh are a populist political faction that has been declared "enemy of the State" by the Rheinland Reichstag. Attempts to gain amnesty from Chancellor Steller after the Nomad War have failed, and while many Bundschuh are still faithful to their political goals and ideas, others have turned to piracy or contract jobs provided by their Red Hessian allies.]
VWA|Steve.Harlow: Now, where the hell's the bridge? *He pops an energy pill*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Down the hall
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Through the broken door
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Axel hears the footsteps of another person, he prays he gets here soon*
VWA|Steve.Harlow: *muttering* What the hell happened here.....Axel? Where are you?
VWA|Axel.Eichel: I-
[OPG]Medina: Did you just say "Red Hessian" and "allies"?
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Here...
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Uhh
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Computer's stuffed
VWA|Arsenal: [Command not recognised.]
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Steve hurry up
VWA|Steve.Harlow: *Hearing the voice, Steve stumbles over and immediately stuffs an anti-rad pill in Axel's mouth*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: I've got hostiles on the radar
[OPG]Medina: We don't like Hessians around here, I don't know who you gringos are, but if we see you with Hessians there wil be trouble
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Axel swallows the pill*
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: That's awfully threatening from someone flying a piece of junk
VWA|Arsenal: [Warning: Ambient radiation above safe levels. Please take protective measures.]
VWA|Steve.Harlow: We....really need to move *He seems out of breath as he tries to hoist Axel up*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Softly*Get... me to my... ship...
[OPG]Medina: What did you just call my Decurion?!?!
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Listen carefully, maybe you'll understand this time
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Piece. Of. Junk.
VWA|Steve.Harlow: *Dragging him along to the bay* What the hell happened here, seriously....No, don't answer, better- *Cough*
VWA|Steve.Harlow: Spare your breath.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Steve.. hurry up
[OPG]Medina: I'll split your skull!
VWA|Arsenal: [Warning: Radiation exposure has surpassed safe levels. Please seek medical assistance.]
[OPG]Medina: Come here, Senor Fuchs
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: I'm so scared
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Ugh...
[OPG]Medina: And here I was being civil and polite
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: I might get hit by a wet noodle
[OPG]Medina: Gringos, you are no different than other Rheinlanders
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Take that back
VWA|Steve.Harlow: *Dropping back into his own ship* Oof. That was not fun. What the hell was that all about?
[OPG]Medina: Soon to be dead
VWA|Steve.Harlow: Eh....Corsair?
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Axel weakily grabs a mask and applies it to his face, it appears to give him relief*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: This... is Axel, I need to reload.
VWA|Steve.Harlow: Is that really on my scanners, or is it a side effect from the meds?
------ Another large signature here. Flashing Corsair IFF (of course). ------
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Uh
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Is that an Osiris?
[OPG]Medina: You are sitting outside of one of largest Corsair enclaves in Sirius.
VWA|Steve.Harlow: We'd best get the hell out of here whatever it is.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: This is Axel to Arsenal. Set Course for Dresden.
VWA|Arsenal: [Command acknowledged. Setting course.]
VWA|Arsenal: [Warning: Ambient radiation hass surpassed safe levels. Please seek medical assistance.]
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: I thought the Osiris was an order ship
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: I'll distract them for a bit
VWA|Steve.Harlow: Eh....yeah....I know. We've just gone through a kinda difficult operation.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: I'll take the Arsenal out of here.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Make sure you get back alive.
VWA|Steve.Harlow: You'll....really?
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: I'll meet you back in Omega-5
VWA|Axel.Eichel: I've got the Arsenal on external administration.
[OPG]Medina: Now Alexander, we have unfinished business
VWA|Steve.Harlow: Uhm....alright.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: I can set courses, that's about it.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Uh
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Excuse me?
------ Alex and Steve dropped off scanner range here. Must've been Arsenal hitting the Barrier. ------
VWA|Arsenal: [Destination: Dresden. Please specify co-ordinates.]
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Uh... Leipzig, for now.
VWA|Arsenal: [Confirmed. Course set for Leipzig Station, Dresden.]
VWA|Arsenal: [External connection detected. Allow access?]
------ Me here. As far as I was concerned, this was the first I'd seen of Arsenal since she disappeared. I just thought the remote piloting systems had glitched out or something. Didn't think to do something sensible like wire up communications when I set it up. ------
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Ja, allow access.
VWA|Arsenal: [Connection established. Remote control access requested. Allow?]
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Can we establish a communications link?
VWA|Arsenal: [No communications link available.]
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Location trace available?
VWA|Steve.Harlow: Yeah, yeah. I'm alright.
VWA|Arsenal: [Tracing location. Please wait.]
VWA|Arsenal: [Signal origin: E3, Frankfurt system.]
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Ja, allow remote access.
VWA|Arsenal: [Remote access allowed.]
VWA|Arsenal: [New destination recieved.]
VWA|Arsenal: [Destination set: Planet Gran Canaria.]
------ And, this would've been the autopilot back at Bruchsal reasserting control. I would've cancelled it again, but the connection cut off before I could hit the button. On the upside, Alex and Steve reappeared on Arsenal's systems shortly after. Must've cleared the Barrier.------
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Nein!
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Override external administration!
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Anyone seen Sparks today?
VWA|Arsenal: [Please provide password.]
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: "rememberzwickau"
VWA|Axel.Eichel: 'rememberzwickau'
VWA|Arsenal: [Confirmed. Revoking remote access.]
VWA|Arsenal: [Destination set, Leipzig Station, Dresden.]
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Set destination to avoid the sun.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Mein gut god, how does Sparks deal with this.
VWA|Arsenal: [Destination not recognised: 'to avoid the sun.']
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Ah verdamnt.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Let me try
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Nein
VWA|Steve.Harlow: I'm gonna guess the Arsenal wasn't always like that.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: It seems to avoid the sun automatically.
VWA|Arsenal: [Notification: Ambient radiation is now within safe levels.]
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Arsenal, do another scan for any internal life.
VWA|Steve.Harlow: Hey, I know about transports. I mean, somewhat. I've flown them a lot.
VWA|Arsenal: [Error: I do not know how to 'scan for any internal life.']
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Gut, you can have a look at it at Leipzig.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Arsenal, Scan for Life Signals
VWA|Arsenal: *A manual scan of the ship reveals no life signs.*
VWA|Axel.Eichel: *Sigh* Nevermind, Arsenal.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Ah, that's what I wanted.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: How far are you lot from Frankfurt
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: Oh and we lost the Corsairs
VWA|Steve.Harlow: I don't know if I want to go in there again anytime soon. I still feel pretty...sick.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: We're going to Leipzig.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: How do you think we feel?
VWA|Axel.Eichel: We need to get this thing checked out asap.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Alex, do you have Spark's number or something?
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: I'll send a message
VWA|Steve.Harlow: Just....as long as the damn AI gets it somewhere safe, we can be happy.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: But she's probably busy working on a Switchblade or something
VWA|Axel.Eichel: I think the Arsenal is a tad bit more important than a Switchblade.
VWA|Arsenal: [Leipzig Station detected. Transmitting docking authentication.]
Traffic control alert: VWA|Arsenal has requested to dock
VWA|Axel.Eichel: Gut.
VWA|Axel.Eichel: The Arsenal is safely docked.
VWA|Alexander.Fuchs: We're 20k out from Stuttgart
VWA|Arsenal: [Destination reached. Powering down.]
Again, I'm sorry for what happened. The people who need to know the details know them but, in short, Arsenal was my fault. I tried to do something new, and I didn't test it as well as I should have. I've done all I can to repair the damage. Hopefully soon I'll be able to tell you why.
I was heading out to Zwickau to retrieve supplies for Metropolis and um, I'm not sure if anyone's seen it, but there's a Coalition gunboat parked outside Zwickau sending across mooring lines and vodka. Don't get me wrong, I'm okay with surprises, but the Coalition's troops never really struck me as the party hat and cake sort. Impressive ship there too. I've never seen anything quite like it. Shame they're not letting anyone aboard, but hey, I can ask, right?
Anyway, anyone know what's going on there?

In regards to the Coalition presence mentioned by Genossin McFarlen, the gunship Mogadishu is here on my request. Zwickau is still recovering from the losses we suffered. In order to defend the base I've contacted the SCRA for some heavy firepower. It should help to keep us safe while we get back on our feet, because if the Military would decide to strike us now, we'd be extremely vulnerable. They've also brought food, guns and vodka to aid us.
McFarlen I strongly suggest that you don't try to examine the ship's technology. The Coalition are very attached to it and might react less than friendly to you trying to take a peek.
That is all.

Kommandant of the Vereinigte Widerstandsarmee
A while back I was working with one of Zwickau's clean-up crews. Trying to clear some of the scrap that sunk into orbit after the attack, that sort of thing. Anyway, in the process we came across something interesting. I'm not sure who got it, might've been Alex, but there were bits of a Fafnir floating around that I've been working on putting back together. After how well that bird held up against our fleet I figured it can't hurt to have a couple of them on our side. It's not perfect, not yet, but the early simulations are looking pretty promising. The hull's just about spaceworthy; had to push it out to cruise earlier today to investigate a contact, actually. Everything held together, and the weapon trials haven't killed anyone yet, so it's looking pretty good so far.
Onto more day-to-day stuff. Alex and I met up with a Landr- LWB pilot (the Sense still looks like a pregnant guppy, if anyone was wondering), and the three of us tracked down a DSE Mastodon that was moonlighting in the Taunusfeld. The Captain was apparently looking for ports that'd berth a Libertonian ship. Not sure why he'd be doing it all the way out here with the war on, but there you go. Anyway, we turned him back towards hom- Liberty.
Shortly after, things got a little weird. On the way through Dresden, we ran across a Mammoth without an identifier and an unarmored cargo hold bulging with nuclear devices. When we couldn't get any response from the bridge, I went back for Donnerkind, since the bombers the two boys were flying'd probably cause some sort of planetary extinction event if they tried to take the ship apart. After a bit of sweat, I managed to get the bay open and tractored aboard what Donnerkind could carry. Nick detonated everything else from a safe distance.
After a chat with the Oberst, we've decided to split the devices between restoring the reactors on Zwickau and patching up Metropolis, with anything we can't use going to ALG for disposal. So, if anyone needs a nuke for something, this'd be the time to say so. In the meantime, everyone might want to stay out of docking bay two on Bruchsal, if you're fond of living.
Other then that, not too much to report except a strangely- Well, just plain strange'd probably do it, Kusari Naval Forces pilot floating around. Thankfully the Oberst arrived to defuse things before someone got shot, and we all lined up and saw her off like proper revolutionaries. I also managed to get complete scans of her ship, and a rough idea of how it handles. Helped that she kept turning it the whole time. Anyway, I'll be running that data through the computers over the next couple of days and I'll let you know what I come up with.
Thought I should probably just drop in a quick note to let you know that Alex (Fuchs) and I'll be heading off for Liberty aboard Metropolis soon. We'll be staying aboard Barrier Gate, in Coronado, if anyone needs to get hold of us while we're away. Just let the Raiders know and they'll put you through. Neat having an entire nation as a call screening service, huh?
Cameron and other Alex (Meier)'ll be helping keep an eye on the fleet while I'm away. Donnerkind’s still loaded with nukes, so someone might want to see to moving those to where they need to be. If someone wants to do that while I’m out of Rheinland, just hit me up for the code.
We also ran across a military defector, by the name of Wolfgang Weber, in New Berlin while Alex and I were out testing ships. Apparently he had a run-in with the Wilde, and now the BDM’s decided he’s not worth keeping around any more. Not too sure on it, myself, but we’ve pulled the transponder out of his bomber and escorted him to Freeport One by jump hole, so he should be okay to lay low for a while until the medics finish checking him over. Some family still on Stuttgart, but it looks like the BDM might’ve beaten us to them. Anyway, could be a ruse, but it’s probably worth keeping an eye on him for the moment.
Try and take it easy guys. I’ll see you when I get back.

With our usual transport pilot indisposed, Herr Byron and myself have shouldered the task of replenish our Deuterium supplies. Yesterday we made contact with a Junker ship bearing the identifier: JM|-Innocent.Bystander, the captain of which claimed to have made earlier contact with Aktivist Sparks. Which, as Sparks left her computer on, appears to be the case.
Regardless, the captain promised a load of weaponry, salvaged from Military wrecks. On reflection, I must admit that I'm slightly surprised that he delivered, for no charge save our consideration in a pair of, admittedly substantial, favors. I am somewhat concerned as to the rut Sparks may be digging us in to here; but for now the weapons have been delivered to, and locked in, Bruchsal's armory. A stock list is included below:
11 x Hornviper Mk II
16 x Firekiss Mk II
1 x BLOODSTONE
1 x MEDUSA
For completeness, I have also included the captain's requests below. I believe he has... Misunderstood our standing with the Hessians, but the issue is not mine to comment on.
Code:
JM|-Innocent.Bystander: Instead of material payment then, do you suppose you could help us with a project or two?
VWA|Arsenal: Meier: That would depend on the scale and nature of your proposal.
VWA|Arsenal: Meier: As I'm certain you're aware, the only reason the Widerstand, and by extension, I, am dealing with you is because Sparks left the communication on my desk, and little other choice. Securing larger scale aid is not likely, considering the differences in our organisational philosophies. But I am willing to listen.
JM|-Innocent.Bystander: I understand. I will also keep in mind that further trust may need to be gained before you are willing to help with either undertaking. Both of these involve Hessians. For the first project, I was wondering if the VWA knew of or could help locate the empty or partially functioning hull of a Hel class cruiser. This is the larger of the two, and I do not expect an immediate response to it.
VWA|Arsenal: Meier: I see. *Both expression and tone were guarded, the carefully clipped tone revealing nothing.* And the second?
JM|-Innocent.Bystander: Again, involving the Hessians. Our salvager craft are quite sturdy and made to stand up to many challanges. But they are defensive only. The Hessian gunships would help us greatly, if we could obtain even a single one. Again, both of these things are quite large in their scale and I do not expect an immediate response to either.
VWA|Arsenal: Meier: I can take your request to the Oberst, but that is as much as I can promise. I'm certain you understand, our relations with the Hessians have been... Strained, as of late.
JM|-Innocent.Bystander: I understand completely. For that reason I feel the task of locating the Hel might be more easily accomplished diplomatically and otherwise. It does not need to be fully or even partially functioning, as long as the hull remains mostly intact.
VWA|Arsenal: Meier: *Inclines his head.* I understand. I will take the request to the rest of the Bundschuh and see what can be done.
JM|-Innocent.Bystander: I would also like you to keep in mind that even people with vastly differant motivations may still help one another.
VWA|Arsenal: Meier: But with more immediate regard to your cargo, I can organise payment in credits.
JM|-Innocent.Bystander: If you would simply consider my request, I would consider that payment enough. And hopefully payment towards the request itself.
VWA|Arsenal: Meier: The decison is not mine to make, but I will ensure it reaches the ears of those who bear that duty.
JM|-Innocent.Bystander: If you are willing to do that much I am fully willing to turn these weapons over to you, with that as my price.
VWA|Arsenal: Meier: In that case, I believe we have a deal.
JM|-Innocent.Bystander: Very well then. In addition to the hornvipers and firekisses, I've picked up two new ones for Sparks to play with.
JM|-Innocent.Bystander: And that -should- be all of them. Finally. Unless you wanted these jades as well?
VWA|Arsenal: Meier: *A trace of amusement crept into his voice.* No, I think that will be /quite/ sufficient.
JM|-Innocent.Bystander: Confirming transfer, I hope you have the space.
VWA|Arsenal: Meier: You are aware that with a delivery like this, Sparks will be unlikely to let you off the comms net?
JM|-Innocent.Bystander: Hah. Dont tell her I said so, but it's probably fairly obvious I'm good at hiding if need be. I would appreciate the chance at further beneficial interactions though.
VWA|Arsenal: Meier: I will see what can be done.
Arsenal has been returned to its berth alongside Bruchsal for the evening.
