Yes, well done, a Solaris gunboat is still excellent at defending itself from snubcraft.
The problem is that 'defending itself' is literally the only role it can perform now. You're not providing any anti-snub cover when the merest tap on the thrust button sends enemy fighters out of range, and you can forget about offensive action because anything bigger than or equally-sized to you will rip you apart, and anything smaller will practically always be out of range.
I'd rather have Dulzians on a gunboat now. Solaris did need the nerf, but this is just stupidly heavy-handed.
Furthermore, this isn't even the worst balance issue in update 6. The Kusari HFs (two of them, at least) going to even higher levels of OP in the very update that was supposed to balance Kusari is possibly even more pressing, given that Katanas and Chimmies are rapidly approaching a state of total invulnerability.

All of this stuff he said.
Solutions for chims and katanas:
Nerf to 5000 hull on both
Slighty reduce their agility
Basically, Katanas and Chims are like more aggressive Liberators. This isn't good for PvP interactions, so, make them easily killable via mines. They get to keep their firepower and core, at the cost of mines being fatal to their existence.

Factions such as JM are a good reason why 495M is a poor nerf. 495M is not enough to succesfully cover transports so that they can get out of a firefight and into safer territory. Hell, in 495M a Gunboat can't even defend itself. Long range SNACs will just waste them.
Seriously guys, just revert GBs to .86. Keep the current razors we have and maybe partially some of the Solaris's stats (with the exception of it's range, of course).
650-700m would have been the most suitable range I suppose.
Helps you chase away those snubs who sit around snacing from a distance and thrust away when you come close.
Now close here means closest because 495m is way too near to approach.
Anyways, if not solaris, I can always work with other GB guns
