Konnichiwa ladies and gentlemen.

We hope that this transmission reaches you all in good health. While we're glad to finally hear that the Kusari embargo against you has been lifted, our reasons for contacting today you are sadly of lesser joy.

Earlier today, one of our Liners retrofitted for humanitarian aid to the United Hope Foundation, namely the Kamchatka-Maru, was wrongfully destroyed by Libertonian forces in the New York system. The Kamchatka-Maru was in the process of transporting refugees from Liberty to Okinawa. The refugees, cruelly labeled Slaves in the common tongue, would be given the chance to start their lives anew on Planet Miura. Regretfully, all of their lives, as well as some of the GMG personnel serving aboard the Kamchatka-Maru, were suddenly extinguished when our Liner was destroyed by a vessel commanded by the LSF.

We're prepared to give you privy to the report of the incident called in by the captain of the Kamchatka-Maru, Izumi Mishima:

Captain Mishima was acting fully legal accordingly to the per-determined outlines and conditions set by the Internal Affairs for transporting Slaves, ie refugees.

The Guild fully supports the actions of the Kamchatka-Maru captain when refusing to comply with jettisoning the refugees through the airlock into open space, which would instantly kill them. We'll never comply with such cruel demands, even if it means deaths of our own as consequence.

We fully expect that the surviving crew members and the captain of the Kamchatka-Maru to be released from your custody and freed from any wrongful accusations set upon them, immediately. When they've been cared for and their injuries treated, they must be sent back to Guild space as soon as they're fit for travel.

We also expect that any surviving family members of the refugees will be fully compensated by the Liberty Government for their terrible losses.
The Guild will need to be compensated for the material losses of the Liner with equipment, and as well for the GMG personnel lost in its destruction.

Lastly, we demand that the irresponsible captain of the LSF-Phoenix is to be tried by court martial and charged accordingly for his horrible crimes by the Liberty Government.

We hope that this awful incident will not tarnish the good relations between the Republic of Liberty and the Gas Miners Guild.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Your personnel have been released from custody, and have had any critical injuries treated by our medical personnel. The crew of the LSF vessel is being brought in for questioning. We will inform you of our findings and any further legal action that may occur. Should this matter be brought before a court of law, a Guild representative will be invited to witness the proceedings.
