Subject: The Kellhound

A capital vessel, presumably cruiser class, named Kellhound, has called for help in Omega-3 system. They suspect that they have suffered a quantum universal displacement. The ship is functional and the crew is alright.
They, however, claim to belong to an entity we have not heard of before, and thus they are allowed to enter Cambridge to refuel and determine their position.
And, of course, provide us some of their possibly advanced technology.
The Kellhound is permitted access only to Cambridge system, and only to Bristol Mining Facility. Although Cambridge Research Station and H.M.S. Norfolk could be better choices, it would not be wise to allow them to moor with either in case they are part of our enemies' tricks.
Bristol holds no military secrets.
Prepare a HazMat chamber. Four hundred (400) Bretonia Royal Marines in HazMat suits should arrive to Bristol in a few minutes. Their orders are to board the Kellhound when they moor, but the action is not supposed to be violent. You also have a few scientists incoming.
I say there is no such thing as being overly cautious, but the vessel you are expecting is not our enemy. They are our guests. Prepare them a welcome, in case everything goes as planned. I would rather have them as allies, than as enemies.
Nevertheless, in case of the worst, keep the defenses ready.
You will be notified if there is any important change of orders.

Well this is news, isn't it?

So you decided to let a Battleship of unknown origins into Bretonia, then onto Bristol? I get that no research or marines will be at harm, but we happen to have 350 Bretonian Civilians and Employees stationed there. Perhaps you'd better revise where the best interests are, but let's move along shall we?

Docking Bay A6 has been appropriately equipped with HazMat Containment methods and docking administrators are awaiting the glorious presence of the Marines. Due to the possible danger, I've also taken the liberty of moving 250 civilians off of the station and placed them on Cambridge. Remaining employees are keeping the security locked tight with defence turrets currently active and making sure the Beryllium refinement continues despite the current situation.

A warm welcome? How about we offer them a nice hot meal? Pea Soup? A cup of tea?

*he sighs tiredly*

The Battleship and its inhabitants will be taken care of with the warm welcome that BMM can provide.

I await further updates on the issues.

Regards,
Darcy Jameson.

Thank you for your kind cooperation. The business that required Bristol is finished, so the Kellhound and the Armed Forces will leave the station in a few minutes. I am sorry that the prepared feast was unnecessary. We did not know that the Kellhound was an unmanned vessel.
I hope this operation has caused no significant deficit to the BMM.

*What he was hoping for, actually, was that he will be able to send a relatively small tip for outstanding cooperation to the BMM. One of those of undetermined (and unchecked) quantity.
He put some effort into this as well. He needed a tip too, didn't he?*
