I believe, as you get this message, I am on board of the [REDACTED] in [REDACTED] System under full LSF suveriliance. My crew and I, alongside with our ship RNC "Hesse" - an Oder-Class Gunboat - give ourselves into your hands and we are willing to fight on the Libertonian side, against the blinded government.
This is not an act of treason. I am patriot to my nation - as you are to yours, but I cannot stand some rumors that may be harmful to the Rheinland, if they are true.
To put it in the simple words, Gallia is at war with Liberty. But Rheinland is also at war with Liberty.
The problem is the fact that Gallic Royal Navy and Rheinland Military shares the common foe - the Liberty. My crew and I are concerned that there might be some activity behind the scenes. Not to mention the new Kusari government seems to be favourable for the Gallic presence and Kusari space is in fact the only corridor between Rheinland and Gallia.
Do I need to mention that Tau-29 and Kyushu Systems are noted for rather high Gallic activity?
If you know what I am trying to say, the logical assumption from all these facts creates a very likely scenario. This is something I would not follow, as the possible alliance with Gallia would not only futher shatter the opinion about Rheinland in Sirius, but also threaten the nation itself.
I hereby request for hospitality in Liberty Space, in exchange I offer service under the Libertonian flag. I would hate to see Rheinland succumbing to the Gallic Royal Navy, as Kusari did.

Name: Justin Surname: von Bauen Gender: Male Age: 34 years old Born: Sigma-13, "Grun Adler" Luxury Liner (on route to Stuttgart) Nationality: Rheinland Occupation: Rheinland Military Captain Service record:
- 816-818 RNC-Westfalen, gunner.
- 818-821 RNC-Breslau, tactical officer.
- 821-??? RNC-Hesse, captain.
LSF Notes: Little is known about the figure, as it is one of many Military low-rank officers that ermerged during the war. However, Justin von Bauen is one of the few that were not sent to any battle, instead he earned some experience on two other vessels as gunner and tactical officer. He and his crew are suprisingly very cooperative from the very beginning, as they are concerned about future of Rheinland and convinced about Gallic and Rheinland connections - however, while those being their assumptions only, we believe Liberty Navy HQ should be interested into this possibilty. Mister von Bauen and his crew are still under suverilliance on the Prison Station. As far as they are cooperative, the rough treatment is needless, unless required or ordered to do so.

Name: RNC "Hesse" Callsign: RNC-Hesse Affiliation: Rheinland Military Class: Oder-Class Rheinland Gunboat Outfit: Standard RM weaponry (outdated)
RNC-Hesse has been built in 818 A.S. on the Oder Shipyard. Despite belonging to the modernised line of Oder-Class Gunboats, it has not been outfitted with any particular equipment known to the other vessels. Vessel posses some battle minor wounds, as it was usually assigned to protection of the Kruger shipments. More recently, the "Hesse" was in possesion of the outdated cloak generator and was supposedly to be sent onto frontline in New Hampshire, but went missing after the patrol in Frankfurt.
LSF notes: Vessel was indeed in possession of the fautly cloak generator, but item had been removed and destroyed by captain Justin von Bauen, to not to fall into pirate hands. According to the database on the vessel, faulty device could be the major reason for the current powercore problems. RNC "Hesse" is not advised to maintain any form of jumping, due to the instability of the vessel's core. However, Juneau's engineers are working on the issue.

****INCOMING TRANSMISSION****
COMM ID:FADM DAVIES, Nathaniel TARGET ID:'RNC Hesse', Prison Station Mitchell SUBJECT:Defection ENCRYPTION:HIGH PRIORITY:HIGH
Captain Justin von Bauen of the RNC Hesse:
I must say it was very...interesting receiving this transmission. From what the Fifth Fleet has informed me, you have already openly defected and surrendered into custody at Prison Station Mitchell. It certainly helps your case along, in any rate. Your reasoning for...defection, be it treasonous or not is at least respectable.
However, let us cut to the chase. The Liberty Navy is willing to accept the defection of RNC Hesse under the following conditions:
- The crew of the RNC Hesse will be transferred into their vessel on Juneau Shipyard, weapons and secondary systems deactivated. You will be escorted by the Navy to Fort Severn in Ontario, following all orders given by Navy Personnel. Any deviation will result in your immediate destruction.
- The Hesse will be disabled and scanned at Severn while your crew is debriefed by officers on-board. Any equipment deemed necessary by the Liberty Navy will be confiscated and replaced with standard-issue Navy tech of similar caliber, to maintain the fighting status of the Hesse. During this month-long operation, you will be stationed aboard Severn, with low-security access only.
- Upon successful debriefing and re-instatement of the Hesse crew under Libertonian flag, you will be briefed on any mission(s) or objective(s) that Severn HQ deems fit. Your operational status will be equivalent to that of a hired mercenary crew; you will hold no rank within the Armed Forces, but maintain the same responsibility as one who would.
- Whilst completing mission(s) assigned by Severn HQ, you will be required to make bi-weekly reports to Navy First Fleet Admiralty detailing all operations the ship has undertaken. Failure to respond will be treated as the Hesse going rogue, and appropriate action will be taken.
- Upon any secession of the Liberty-Rheinland war, the Hesse will be allowed to return to Rheinland territory following a final check-up and debrief at Fort Severn.
Should you find these terms agreeable, you will be transported to the Hesse tomorrow morning, with escort to Severn at a later, undetermined date. Otherwise, I am sure the LSF Directorate has many uses for a prisoner such as you.

I have received this message during one of the interrogations made by LSF - I do not say it is bad, but I fully understand why all those are needed for, as MND would do the same with the Libertonian prisoners. So far, all of the interrogations that took place were held in a rather friendly manner. But of course, those are not chit-chats between good old friend - officially we are at war, are we not?
To make it simple: I agree on all terms on behalf of the Hesse crew. I have not had contact with my crew due to the LSF procedures - pretty understandable, again - but I will be meeting them pretty soon.
About the equipment on the Rheinland Military vessel, replacing weaponry would not be a good idea, as Liberty Navy equipment is not compatible with standard Rheinland vessels - I believe this may be a technical failsafe to prevent both nations to use restricted items. However, we could resolve this issue by demounting of the Rheinland weaponry, repairing it and enchancing with the technology available in Liberty, then mounting it again. I hope this would a good solution at the moment, until your scientists would achieve the compability of the Liberty Navy tech with RNC-Hesse.

RNC Hesse have been moved into Fort Severn, as requested by Liberty Navy. Arrival time: SMT 16:34. Our route has been secured by Jack o'Neil from the 5th Fleet and Liberty Navy's dreadnought, LNS Essex.
The operation was divinded into several stages, in which our vessel either went through Trade Lanes or on cruise speed, due to the fact we wanted to keep our presence low-profile. The relocation of our vessel has been successful and we are currently mooring on Fort Severn, Ontario, awaiting further instructions. Mister o'Neil returned his patrol duties and Essex made sure about our peaceful presence in Ontario.
The current IFF of the vessel is Liberty Security Force, as engineers on Juneau convinced us it would be the best solution to avoid us being considered spies by the Navy officers which were not introduced into operation. IFF can be easily changed into Liberty Navy one, depending on the future purpose of the vessel. Our powercore has been slightly repaired and no errors on jumping should take place, rendering vessel to be useable again.

Giving the 1st report from the Ontario System. JAN 12.
Because this is the very first report, we are awaiting further instructions. Our armor has been prepared to be replaced with heavier assets, minor scratches on the hull has been repaired. Electronics will be probably changed - expect a different position lights color scheme in the future. I am consindering giving RNC Hesse some gray stripes to make it different from normal Rheinland Military vessels. Additionally, beside the Rheinland symbol, I would add an additional Libertonian symbol next to the original one. Is that an acceptable change?
