Independent Miners Guild (account of the official faction)
2. What exactly are you requesting?
SRP ID on the two historical flagship Zephyr Carriers IMG|Rockabill and IMG|Comoros after our new ID does not support the Battleship class any more.
3. Exact name, identification and affiliation of the character:
IMG|Rockabill - Zephyr Carrier - IMG| ID (now not possible any more) - IMG IFF
IMG|Comoros- Zephyr Carrier - IMG| ID (now not possible any more) - IMG IFF
4. Why is this request necessary for the continuation of this character's roleplay?
As requested by the IMG| leadership, the allowance for the battleship class was deleted from the IMG| & IMG ID.
The two historical flagship Zephyrs – Comoros and Rockabill – still exist and they cannot be flown any more legally under the new IMG| ID. Therefore we request this SRP for the two historic flagships.
5. What short-term and long-term goals are you planing to achieve on this character?
We just want to be able to use them as we did before without breaking our changed ID.
6. Provide links to the relevant forum roleplay.
1. Comoros – Zephyr Carrier
The Comoros was the first IMG Carrier produced at Singapore Shipyard. It served as a mobile HQ for at least 4 Guildmasters. The carrier saw intensive action during Outcast Tau invasion. Today the Carrier serves as a mobile Tau 39 HQ and is – in rare cases - deployed in Java’s long range perimeter defense in the rare cases of enemy capital threat.
The Comoros remains a symbol of the free Tau people’s defiance against the Outcast invasion, a reminder to younger Guildmembers that freedom is never for free and that the Taus have always been a bloody battleground.
2. Rockabill – Zephyr Carrier
The Carrier Rockabill was the second and last Zephyr class that was built by the IMG at Singapore Shipyard. It was deployed to Dublin during the “Gold Rush” period and was assigned perimeter defense duty for the Hood.
Rockabill saw intensive action during the Nomad Crisis in Dublin. The Rockabill bore the brunt of the Nomad attacks in Dublin. Rockabill was towed to Aland Shipyard and the vessel was overhauled and redeployed to Dublin after 2 years in the drydocks and served around the northern Gold fields as a sensory outpost. With the decline of the Gold rush, the Carrier was ordered to Aland Shipyard to provide additional security in the Aland Shipyard and Falster Trade Center junction inside Wilke’s Icefield. It is currently assigned as extended long range perimeter defense and has seen action lately in covering the retreat of damaged forces in Omega 3 skirmishes.
Together with the Battlecruiser Biscayne Bay, the Guild’s warships assist the Guild’s daring Omega 9 endeavor, as well as Operation Resolute Response, an operation against the Corsair push into the civilized Omegas.
Rockabill also assisted in the siege of a rogue base near Freistadt and a Nomad Lair construction site in Omega 3 which ended in a damaged Carrier but a total loss of the Nomad installation and its defending force. The Carrier made it back to base on its own after a fierce battle against K'Hara warships.
P.S: As these ships have been IMG| flagships since 4.85 and the change of ID on them have only been made necessary due to recent adjustments of the IMG ID, technically the faction is not asking for anything new, so it was decided to exclude this request from check-in requirements.
