Guten Tag,
the day before yesterday, I caught three smugglers. Two of them were transport vessels of the Crayterian Republic.
The Crayterian vessels both transported sorted artifacts. Both of them cooperated and dropped the artifacts as well as paid the fine of 6.000.000 SC each.
After that incident they wished me an awful day.
Just a few minutes later I caught a smuggler transporting counterfeit software. I'm afraid this one didn't cooperate and I had to destroy his vessel in space.
After that a Red Hessian Army vessel appeared out of nowhere and started to attack me. The Hessian managed to destroy my vessel but left me in my escape pod injured. Luckily I got rescued by a nearby Kruger vessel.
PRIORITY: Medium ENCRYPTION: Medium IDENTIFICATION:Kadett Jakob Felber SOURCE:New Berlin, New Berlin system SUBJECT:First flight, 27.08.22
Hello everyone.
I will say right away, I never expected my first flight to be filled with tense discussions, frankly terrifying fighting, and nerve-pounding chases.
Well, I will summarize briefly. After I had run some basic tests on my Eagle, making sure everything worked for me, I figured I would try to remember everything from training and go for a patrol.
Within just a minute of launch from New Berlin, I received comms from Inspektor Daniel Artura, a big relief for me as I really wasn't so sure how to operate all on my own.
Anyway, I flew around a bit, with nothing unusual, before Ins. Artura reported contacts coming in from Hamburg. We rendezvous'd at the Dortmund junction, with two Red Hessian Army and an SCRA fighter hot on Artura's heels.
They held outside of the Dortmund defensive perimeter, and we spoke for some time, joined after a short while by Agent Lecuona of the BDM.
Unsurprisingly, the Hessians were keen to convince us that we were puppets of the military, that the BDM were conducting immoral experiments, and that we were generally working against the will of the people of Rheinland.
Their tone soon turned hostile, and in the end they were talking about killing all members of the Federal Police, Military, and Marinenachrichtendienst, and went as far to claim they would kill our families.
I must admit, I do believe the Red Hessian Army, when founded, likely had good principles in mind. I doubt the individuals we encountered today cared much for principles of any sort. It's clear they were simply filled with hate, and itchy on the trigger finger - something they themselves admitted.
As it became clear they would attack, Artura, Lecuona and myself went to engage them.
Unfortunately, within a minute of fighting, Lecuona's ship was put out by a mine and the Hessians received backup with another fighter. We were on the defensive, and I only just managed to grab the lane back to Berlin.
After some emergency restocking, I went to assist Artura again, while we had started to receive backup ourselves.
In the ensuing fight, the SCRA ship and two of the Hessians were destroyed, leaving only one.
I managed to get the killshot on two of them.
Still shaken, I went to pursue yet another SCRA vessel that had appeared nearby. I tracked him all the way to the Omega-11 gate via TLAGSNET, but failed to catch up.
After that, our little squad - Wachmann Steinmeyer, Inspektor Artura and me - got three TLAGSNET alerts in rather short succession.
The first was a positive for unlicensed human cargo, on transport Homdoll.Scrall in Stuttgart. It seems we just missed their disembarking on planet Stuttgart, though, as when we arrived the vessel undocked with a clean cargo of Synth Paste.
After a short talk, we had to let them go. The vessel was a freelancer-identified Heron.
The second was unfortunately very similar. A vessel with the callsign Sabrina registered a positive for artifacts, coming in from Omega-11.
Steinmeyer encountered the ship - a Samura Ryuujin-class train - in Baden-Baden's orbit, but again missed the apparent unloading of the contraband by mere seconds.
Again, we had to let them leave after a brief talk.
The final one was a ship with a variety of cargo, but one stood out in particular: unlicensed explosives. We saw the ship near Stuttgart, and I'm sorry to say I had the chance to catch it but messed it up.
For unknown reasons, it had moved to the second lane ring, where I exited to stop it, only to have it re-enter the lane. If I had stayed in the lane, we would have had it.
Unfortunately, this one new what they were doing: maneuvering their train for very quick docks with the lanes while taking them out behind, it wasn't possible to catch. It is assumed to have landed on Hamburg or docked on Altona, where we lost its signal. The callsign was Pegasus.the.Workhorse.
Anyway that is all for today, good day for our combat operations, bad day for catching smugglers. All in all I'm very happy with my new job!
PRIORITY: High ENCRYPTION: High IDENTIFICATION:Detektiv Wolfram Kruppstahl SOURCE:Bonn Station, New Berlin System SUBJECT:Stuttgart incident
Beginning of the patrol Polizeidirektorin Laura Carsten and me, Detektiv Wolfram Kruppstahl, were on a regular patrol. Since the 11th Omega system is a dangerous zone, we decided to head there in order to check the situation. Present was a lone Freelancer in a Serinity class transport. According to the Freelancer, no suspicious activity has been sighted. We told the Freelancer to be careful in Omega-11 and to call us if he needs assistance.
Hessian ships at Planet Stuttgart
On the way back to New Berlin, our scanners caught a Daumann Heavy Construction vessel of which the transponders were set wrong (Interspace Commerce). Polizeidirektorin Carsten made me aware of a nearby hostile vessel. It turned out to be a Red Hessian RH-GM40 "Odin" Fighter. After using a few cruise disrupters, the Hessian finally stopped his ship. Polizeidirektorin asked the Hessian to surrender, but he refused. Instead, he spreaded propaganda.
The "Reclaimer"
Out of a sudden, a 042D "Bastet" Fighter of The Order appeared. It must have been using a cloaking device to get that near unnoticed. Even its entire loadout was very strange. Its pilot, Kate Miller, warned us against an upcoming Nomad armada. Polizeidirektorin Carsten told me that this could be a trick, as infected people use to lure people into traps. Frau Miller told us to warn our men and women. I suggested to cease fire for now, that way the Red Hessians and we, the Federal Polizei are able to warn each our people. Given that Order vessel uses suspicious technology, the Hessians as well as Carsten and me were sceptical.
The Stuttgart incident
Soon enough, an emergency call from Planet Stuttgart reached the Hessians and us. We knew that this is probably what Frau Miller tried to warn us against. Upon reaching Planet Stuttgart, I saw many Nomads, even very large ones. I've never seen this kind of Nomads before. Behind their armada, there was a large structure, an agent of the BDM called this "looking like a shrine". This "shrine" seemed to be the power source of these Nomads. Here is the guessed number of Nomad ships:
~5x* Nomads with the size of a Rheinland battleship
~15x* Nomads of the size of a Rheinland cruiser
~30x* Nomads of the size of a Rheinland gunboat
countless Nomads of the size of a fighter
*Remember these numbers are just guessed.
Fighting alongside the Buro der Marineintelligenz, Rheinwehr, Red Hessians, Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army, The Order and even The Vereinigte Widerstandsarmee, we managed to destroy the nomad armada and the "shrine", even with losses on our side. The "shrine"s explosion caused a blinding light and a shutdown of electronics. Luckily, we got the electronic back to work quickly. Polizeidirektorin and me survived, even if our ships do have many scratches.
Important note: There were even libertorian ships among the Nomad forces, fighting against humans.
Something gives me the feeling that this was just the beginning of something mankind should fear.
They have shown us the door to hell.
Hochachtungsvoll,
Wolfram Kruppstahl Detektiv
Rheinland Federal Polizei
PRIORITY:High ENCRYPTION:Medium IDENTIFICATION:Inspekteur Laura Clausewitz SOURCE:Nibelung Polizei Plaza, Planet New Berlin SUBJECT:Service announcement
Guten Tag, Sehr geehrte polizisten of Rheinland Federal Polizei. Inspekteur Clausewitz hier with regular news.
Lets start with some operating issues. As you all know, number of ion storms was too damn high recently. Fortunately, according to experts from New Berlin Alley´s Institute for Study of Space Anomalies, this period should be over by now so we can return to usual patrol schedule. Remember, citizens as well as government are watching our activity.
Anyway, regarding ion storms, I ordered higher level of maintanmance on all polizei ships. Before you take off, check that your ship went through this special check, bitte. Mechanics have lot of work these days so despite all procedural measures they might overlook something here and there.
Now to more pleasant matters. First - activity awards for previous month. Untiring Polizist Award is issued to wachmann Alexander Steinmeyer and also there are three Very Active Polizist Awards for both direktors Daniel Artura and Laura Carsten as well as detektiv Wolfram Kruppstahl. Keep your gut work, damen und herren.
Second pleasant issue is promotion of kadett Jakob Felber to the rank of wachmann. Polizei Oberkommando is pleased to see yet another valuable novice which already proved to be skillful when he destroyed two enemy fighter ships in a group fight. Congratulation, wachmann Felber!
PRIORITY:High ENCRYPTION:Medium IDENTIFICATION:Inspekteur Laura Clausewitz SOURCE:Nibelung Polizei Plaza, Planet New Berlin SUBJECT:Promotion
Attention to all officers of the Rheinland Federal Polizei, inspekteur Clausewitz hier with short announcement about promotion.
Kadett Gustav Nijmegen proved to be more than capable addition for ranks of Federal Polizei. For this reason, he is no longer a kadett.
Congratulation, wachmann Nijmegen! Report yourself to Nibelung Polizei Plaza to pick up your new rank insignia, and also contact quartermaster of New Berlin´s polizei spaceport to be issued with bomber class ship - in case you are interested to fly it, of course.
That´s all, everybody back to work.

Guten Tag everyone, Inspekteur Clausewitz hier. After some time I bring another service announcement.
As you all know well, whole Rheinland as well as other parts of Sirius experienced heavy ion storm which grounded all traffic for several days at the end of October and beginning of November. Also lot of our ships and even stations were damaged due to harm on electronic systems, so polizei activity was significantly decreased.
Fortunately it was all fixed during November and I´m glad that we returned to standard level of activity in December.
By the way, speaking of activity, I´m happy to announce that these activity awards were issued: Extraordinary Active Polizist Award to polizeidirektor Laura Carsten, Very Active Polizist Award to polizeidirektor Daniel Artura and Active Polizist Awards to detektiv Wolfram Kruppstahl and to wachmann Gustav Nijmegen.
There is also another gut news which I guess majority of you heard already. Brandenburg Base rebuilding was finished and the station was moved to its new location next to the Bonn Station, which was returned under administration of Interspace Commerce. Finally we got rid of that expensive maintanmance budget leech! I hope that after years of tight budget conditions, you will enjoy that polizei can finally offer also some modern conditions on our new space operations centre, which was build in all aspects to fit our needs. However be ready there might be some minor problems, all systems of the base are still under testing. If there will be any issues, report them as soon as possible bitte.
PRIORITY:Medium ENCRYPTION:Medium IDENTIFICATION: Wachmann Alexander Steinmeyer SOURCE:Brandenburg Border Station SUBJECT: Patrol Report - 18/02/823
Guten tag Meine Damen und Herren,
I joined Polizeidirektor Carsten for a patrol late last night, after the trade lanes were found to be quiet we began checking the registered bases to ensure compliance, whilst they were quiet we found the station "Bauxite Minerial Extraction" which has moved from the last known coordinates to new coordinates of approximately C5 due to the inherent instability of the Munich system and whilst not a violation of existing both of us agreed that it would have been respectful of the law and Rheinland for them to immediately inform us of their location to allow for patrol plans to be updated to take in account of their new position.
Later as we passed Planet New Berlin, the Buro cruiser "Franz Muller" informed us of the presence of a Red Hessian Gunboat threatening the lanes between the Battleship Strausberg and the Planet, we quickly found it and springing into action both I and Polizeidirektor Carsten attempted to arrest the ship "Not.Daumann" however given that the odds were stacked against it, the Red Hessian whilst not so sensible in his friendship and allies, was sensible enough to flee rather than engage, however, we managed to pursue it to Dresden where it disappeared in the scanner reflective asteroids and clouds, after this the cruiser Franz Muller bid us farewell as Polizeidirektor Carsten and I continued on to Stuttgart however before we reached Stuttgart I noticed my ships was still registering as hostile on Bonn's scanners so I switched back to my Phantom which has the correct signature after this I sought to catch up with Polizeidirektor Carsten as she went ahead however, I found the gunboat "Not.Daumann" who was disrupting the Brandenburg to Stuttgart lane who without a cruiser to back us up seemed more than confident of taking Polizeidirektor Carsten and myself, needless to say with the expertise Polizeidirektor Carsten in a Bergelmir the outcome was assured.
Afterwards, we began to check on Geneva in Omega 7 and Elbe, however, we were unable to locate it in the registered location, this I feel is a danger not only to Rheinland but also to the Zoners aboard. Finally, as Polizeidirektor Carsten docked her ship she mentioned the transportation Divison was seeking a volunteer as Rheinland was quite I did so, soon thereafter Kapitan Stien of the Liner Saarbrucken contacted me and we moved to Dresden far from civilian areas to ensure no accidents occurred sadly I came off second best, but the transportation division did gain valuable insight on shields and Iron Hammers..
PRIORITY:High ENCRYPTION:Medium IDENTIFICATION:Inspekteur Laura Clausewitz SOURCE:Nibelung Polizei Plaza, Planet New Berlin SUBJECT:Activity awards and coffee
Guten Tag, Sehr geehrte polizisten of Rheinland Federal Polizei. Inspekteur Clausewitz hier with some gut news.
*sips coffee from a cup*
First one is that thanks to increased budget, we were able to buy apart from other stuff also new supply of coffee and it arrived at the beginning of the month. At this moment, coffee ration is considered as part of your basic flight rations. Feel free to ask for it from provision officer on polizei spaceport on planet New Berlin in case you will not find your coffee cup ration in cockpit at the beginning of the patrol by some mistake.
Second pleasant issue is that I can issue several activity awards again for January. Dedicated Active Polizist Award goes to polizeidirektorin Laura Carsten, wachmann Gustav Nijmegen earned Very Active Polizist Award and two Active Polizist Awards are issued to detektiv Wolfram Kruppstahl and wachmann Alexander Steinmeyer.
Congratulation! Keep your hard work, you serve as ein gut example for others.
PRIORITY:Low ENCRYPTION:RFP 9234 - Medium IDENTIFICATION: Wachmann Gustav Nijmegen SOURCE:Brandenburg Station SUBJECT: Patrol Reports -
Guten tag, Wachmann Gustav Nijmegen reporting in the latest patrol. Some maintenance failures on the ship systems have corrupted some of older flight records, and the new server in Brandenburg seems to be hanging up, so I'm unable to catalogue some flight patrols mostly with Polizeidirektorin Laura Carsten, intercepting smugglers and getting into confrontation with LWB and Hessians on occasion.
Most recent action to be recorded was a patrol operation in the New Berlin and Stuttgart systems. At first, wachmann Steinmeyer and I were on the lookout for strange traffic, and we noticed the movements of a inbound ship, with what seemed to be a cargohold of Cardamine.
We did set up a police barricade on its path, but we failed to account for what it was revealed later to be a cloaking device operating on the ship. The [SU]-Ourang_Medan failed to appear on our scanners, and we only got records of it docking on New Berlin. Planetside quarters have been notified to track the shipment.
After that, Polizeidirektorin Laura Carsten joined the patrol, and was present when the Ourang_Medan appeared once again from New Berlin surface and was stopped for interrogation. Said cloak device was detected and checked against the licensed vessels, and came out that it was in violation of the current regulations. Carsten issued a fine and surrendering of the cloaking batteries, as well as a deportation order to Captain Crippen. I received the 3,6 million credit fine and the task of escorting it out to the Sigmas.
After a few moments, our patrol got word that there was criminal activity in the Stuttgart system. Rheinland Military and RFP units met and engaged Red Hessian cruisers, LWB and Hessian fighter groups, and even that VWA activist Kluggmann was involved in the skirmishes. In the end, our side always held some advantage in numbers due to the support units, and I was spared of any heavy fighting.
Wachmann Steinmeyer suffered a ship incapacitation during the patrol, and one military cruiser was damaged by the Hessians. On the other hand, Rheinland forces took out a Hessian cruiser, 2 LWB fighters, one VWA fighter, and warded off one VWA pilot and another Hessian bomber.
