my name is Ezrael Vertiga. I'm the owner of the Apahanta, the Mako-class battleship that is moored with Livadia for five months now. While your teams and the team of IRG are still working on the Apahanta, I would like to contact you now on behalf of another request. I would like to purchase purchase three Corvo-class Civilian Explorers. I already talked with the ship vendor of Corfu and he told me I will have to wire the credits for the ships to Corfu's account, however I need Livadia to modify the ships.
This is the standard layout of the latest versions of the Corvo. I would like to have the decks opened, merging Deck 1 and 2 as well as 3 and 4 to have more space for bigger machinery to be placed inside the ships. You can see what I mean on the following schematics.
Gordon Byrd of Corfu said they would deliver the ships to Livadia as soon as we have confirmation for the ships to be modified at Livadia. How is the status of Livadia's drydocks currently? Is this possible?
I am Jerard Voncloud one of the Representatives of the Confederation.
I have to admit looking over the plans for these redesigns have me intrigued. Now there is no issue with you purchasing the Corvo, the ship itself is available to any and all who require them, however before we consider the redesign a few more details will be needed.
You have said that the decks are being merged in order to accommodate larger machinery so details as to what this machinery is and its purpose would be necessary.
As far as Livadia is concerned it should be more then able to deal with the requests but the more indepth the detail of the makeover the better prepared the shipyards Engineers and technicians will be when work is due to start.
The modifications of the three Corvos are basically the more cost-effective alternative to investing into a Bustard-class carrier, in my opinion. The ships are intended to function as mobile facilities to support a company I am currently silent-investing in. While planetary facilities would be another option, this would require those facilities to be supplied via freighters or effectively via transports. Combining the mobility of the Corvo with the alterations that allow it to be filled with industrial replicators and workshops kills two birds with one stone. Additional to that, the company would be able to relocate their assets with ease.
Thus the Corvos simply need to offer enough space for various instustrial replication systems and workbenches for a rather big amount of programmed service robots. Technically, everything necessary is to remove the interior walls and floors of the decks visualized on the graphics, and the realignment of wirings and everything else located in walls and floors. In theory, me and my inferiors could do that ourselves, however that would be less professional, would have a higher chance of things potentially effing up and it would take much more time than hiring a shipyard to do a job it is specialized on.
I hope this is enough information for your teams to be satisfied and ready to begin with the work as soon as the ships arrive at Livadia.
I appreciate the information and it all makes sense the Corvo in comparison to the Bustard is certainly a step up in quality, so the modifications you propose would make it just as usable for the stated Purpose.
I see no reason to not allow this project to go ahead, i will inform Lividia to expect the Corvos and your blueprints.
There is however one thing i will request and that is you keep us updated with progress along with exact details of the equipment that gets installed as and when it does so that we have a record of whats been done to the ships. This allows for a fairly secure safeguard should any doubt be cast onto them when out in space.
Thank you for your cooperation. I'll order Corfu to send the Corvos to Livadia now. One of my inferiors will bring a Whale filled with the equipment to add to the ship within the next 48 hours. Designation: The Catport.
