My name is Helmut Weinstein, Director of Corporate Security Division, also known as Division V, for ALG.
As I'm sure you are aware, we have maintained a greater presence in the far Omicrons since the last crisis at Freeport 11.
My pilots in the area report a new installation next to the Freeport by the name of Fort Carthage, and from the information we've gathered it appears to be a cooperative project between yourselves and the Core. We've also learned that the station has come under heavy attack by the Order.
Strange as this sounds to me given the history, I have no desire to question your diplomacy. However, this is concerning for our shipping route from the Freeport.
If the Core influence over this project gives them the ability to determine access to the Freeport it would stop commercial shipping by parties they consider hostile, such as ourselves. Considering the very reason for this hostility is our assistance of the Zoners in the previous conflict, it would be deeply ironic for such a development to occur.
I hope you can give assurances that Core involvement in this project will not restrict commercial shipping to the Freeport according to the Core's own diplomacy. We have never taken an offensive role in the conflict and were only forced into hostility due to their attacks on our ships, but we have defended ourselves when necessary.
We have no interest in changing this approach, but the iridium shipments from the region and their safety is essential for our business.
Regards,
Helmut Weinstein

Helmut Weinstein,
Regardless of our work with the Core and now, against the Order for our own reasons, we have full intentions of keeping access to such an essential resource, as well as the corporate value of the Freeport's services. I know we've seen eye to eye on other business endeavors that never saw fruition, but I believe that I can say wholeheartedly that we will maintain the Freeports commercial values and resource procurement open and available to all people who currently have access, with the exception of the Order. If for some reason such is not maintained, I will see to it personally that you get your required supplies shipped to you for no more than their minimum market value. Should you have shipments to make to the Freeport, such can be made to any other nearby Zoner installation, and we will personally see to it that they get transferred on site for your benefit at no additional cost.
Hopefully this eases your mind a bit on our developments.
Best of luck,

It is regrettable that you have chosen this path, and since you are unable to offer us the assurance that was asked for, I would have wished for the honesty on your part to speak clearly about the matter. If you are suggesting choosing other locations for cargo transfer, it is clear that you are willing to give in to Core pressure to take control of Freeport traffic. Considering that, it might be prudent to rename the station, if indeed you have control over it at all, as the "Freeport" designation certainly does not apply to stations under control of the Core.
I imagine this will be the last time we speak in good peace with your organization, unless major changes occur.
It is my sincere hope that you do not attempt to drag other Zoner subfactions and individuals into this mess you've created.

Helmut Weinstein,
I feel you have misinterpreted my words, nevertheless, allow me to clear your mind entirely, as Port Carthage has been christened as a Zoner installation. It will accept your transponders as such, as long as you remain on acceptable terms.
Safe travels,

I am wondering, then, why you seem to be preparing for the eventuality that we are excluded from trade with the Freeport?
I do not believe you've made a deal with the devil that you've lost control of. You've invited the enemy in deliberately, and if you're losing control of the situation, that will be on you. Their lust for profit may be predictable, but their imperial ambitions are uncontrollable. How you expect to juggle these, I will not claim to know.
In any case, there is little we can do at this moment other than hope that you come to your senses, and bank on what little control you have left. Good luck.

Helmut Weinstein
