That's how you could sum up the life of an Insurgency captain. Being hunted relentlessly by the Liberty Navy with the sole purpose of wiping us entirely, both military and civilian population, because we dared to stand up for our beliefs in justice and democracy. The history is written by the winner, so each and every one of us must be silenced forever, so Liberty can say we were indeed terrorists, fanatics, and no one can say otherwise. We could have fought to the end, to the last man standing, but the truth would had been lost with us.
For this reason, we took a gamble and agreed to meet the Corsairs to discuss their offer of asylum. Shortly after the 1st| Armada's attempt to destroy us was thwarted, a Deterrence vessel appeared, the DTR-CNS>Cimitarra, escorted by a pilot that goes by the name Gonzales. Myself and my fellow captains, Spire, Armstrong and Smith, engaged in tratatives, voicing our concerns of not being used as a mercenary force by the Corsairs, or worse. It's obvious that their offer doesn't comes for free and out of good will. We can take advantage of the situation, pursue our own goals of finding a safe haven for ourselves and the civilians we managed to evacuate and start anew, far away from the corrupted houses. I'm aware this isn't the optimal place for this, but our choices are very limited.
After a brief round of tratatives and handout of medical supplies for the injured we departed for our final destination with the Cimitarra taking point and Gonzales in tow. The only comforting thought is that we aren't helpless. Even damaged, our fleet can still deliver a devastating blow to any aggressor. The 1st|Armada can confirm, as they sent instead one of their drones to follow us from a safe distance. Liberty surely is interested about our whereabouts, and will do everything to silence us.
[27.11.2022 20:59:48] INS-Richmond: Miles: Greetings, Corsair. I assume you sent the comm.
[27.11.2022 21:00:29] INS-Justice: Armstrong: Huh, a corsair warship.
[27.11.2022 21:00:33] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : Si, we've been expecting your arrival, libertonian. How was the travel here?
[27.11.2022 21:00:56] INS-Richmond: Miles: Well, you can say we had a minor revenge.
[27.11.2022 21:01:06] INS-Justice: Armstrong: Two Liberty Navy capital ships tried to stop us in this system.
[27.11.2022 21:01:16] INS-Justice: Armstrong: They were not succesful, to say the least.
[27.11.2022 21:01:31] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : Revenge always brings some warmth to the heart, eh? I hope they didn't bring you much trouble.
[27.11.2022 21:01:42] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : How is your crew? Sick? Wounded?
[27.11.2022 21:01:58] INS-Richmond: Miles: Plenty.
[27.11.2022 21:02:03] Amphion: Spire: Wounded a bit
[27.11.2022 21:02:06] INS-Justice: Armstrong: I've let the rest of the fleet take care of those ships, as they never were a real threat.
[27.11.2022 21:02:51] INS-Justice: Armstrong: So this is one of those feared corsair ships?
[27.11.2022 21:03:00] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : We took some precautions and loaded some medical supplies at the station. Your crew is authorized to dock.
[27.11.2022 21:03:04] INS-Richmond: Miles: It does inspire fear.
[27.11.2022 21:03:06] INS-Justice: Armstrong: I've heard stories about their strength in battle.
[27.11.2022 21:03:29] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : Ready your crew for the check-in. All crew will be accounted for.
[27.11.2022 21:03:30] Amphion: Spire: it does for sure with that loadout
[27.11.2022 21:03:58] INS-Richmond: Miles: No offence, sir Corsair, but we need some guarantees that our crew will be fine and we won't be used as mercenaries.
[27.11.2022 21:04:09] Amphion: Spire: my friend captain of the ship Excomunicado will join us shortly
[27.11.2022 21:04:36] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : [...]
[27.11.2022 21:04:39] INS-Justice: Armstrong: Yes, we will fight for something we believe in, but not for plain credits.
[27.11.2022 21:04:42] Amphion: Spire: yet we will defend your people
[27.11.2022 21:05:23] INS-Richmond: Miles: I'm willing to fight some of your enemies, not all, in exchange for asylum for my crew and ship.
[27.11.2022 21:05:42] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : You read the accord. The terms are clear. I'm afraid there are not many ways of surviving in the Omicrons.
[27.11.2022 21:06:20] Amphion: Spire: we are true warriors as you are
[27.11.2022 21:06:39] INS-Justice: Armstrong: You promised us shelter in exchange for supplies and hardware.
[27.11.2022 21:06:53] INS-Justice: Armstrong: The cargo hold of the Justice is full of light arms.
[27.11.2022 21:07:07] INS-Richmond: Miles: And freedom of choice.
[27.11.2022 21:07:31] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : Sure. It was written.
[27.11.2022 21:08:08] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : Imperial protection isn't cheap, m'amigos. It's not an one off-payment. Prove your worth to the Empire and you shall
[27.11.2022 21:08:08] INS-Justice: Armstrong: Exactly, i won't let my crew or any other Insurgency captain become forced to fight for a cause they don't believe
[27.11.2022 21:08:10] INS-Justice: in.
[27.11.2022 21:08:19] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: ...live another day.
[27.11.2022 21:08:56] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : Sure. All men believe in their own causes. But you must believe in ours if you want to believe in your own.
[27.11.2022 21:09:05] INS-Justice: Armstrong: So how does someone proof their worth in your empire?
[27.11.2022 21:09:24] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : If you do not, the edge worlds will consume you like it consumed even the fiercest of the Corsair guerreros.
[27.11.2022 21:09:27] INS-Justice: Armstrong: And what are your exact values?
[27.11.2022 21:09:29] INS-Richmond: Miles: That's..relieving to hear. We heard we have some common enemies, like the Outcasts.
[27.11.2022 21:11:16] INS-Justice: Armstrong: The Bounty Hunter Guild is also a thorn in your sight, or that it was i've heard.
[27.11.2022 21:11:26] INS-Justice: Armstrong: They also have pastered us for a long time.
[27.11.2022 21:11:50] Amphion: Spire: they kill for money, bloody money
[27.11.2022 21:12:33] INS-Richmond: Miles: Also heard some rumors that the Navy sponsored some elite-wing of the Bounty Hunters from the Omicrons. Core, I think?
[27.11.2022 21:13:08] INS-Justice: Armstrong: Aye, they use the Core to further get their interests into the Omicrons.
[27.11.2022 21:13:29] INS-Justice: Armstrong: Reports indicate that they took over a former corsair colony in Omicron Delta.
[27.11.2022 21:14:02] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : Our values, you ask?
[27.11.2022 21:14:24] INS-Richmond: Miles: The values of the Core.
[27.11.2022 21:14:39] INS-Richmond: Miles: We heard some rumors they're related to Bounty Hunters.
[27.11.2022 21:14:41] INS-Justice: Armstrong: We have come to the conclusion that we share common enemies.
[27.11.2022 21:14:56] INS-Justice: Armstrong: But what are the values of your society, corsair?
[27.11.2022 21:15:01] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : Oh, did you? In the edge worlds, it's eat or be eaten.
[27.11.2022 21:15:31] Amphion: Spire: survival is what we are trained for
[27.11.2022 21:15:32] INS-Richmond: Miles: Lucky for us we're battle hardened.
[27.11.2022 21:15:46] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : There's the nomad threat. The infertile land. The radiation. Numerous reasons for anyone to not live here. But here
[27.11.2022 21:15:49] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: ...we are.
[27.11.2022 21:15:53] INS-Justice: Armstrong: My crew and I have participated in the defense of Veracruz, where the Delaware fell.
[27.11.2022 21:16:16] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : Such skills will prove most useful.
[27.11.2022 21:16:16] INS-Justice: Armstrong: I am confident to say that we are not low in the food chain.
[27.11.2022 21:16:17] INS-Richmond: Miles: We all have. Both myself and captain Spire.
[27.11.2022 21:16:29] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : I hope your stomach is not weak, captain.
[27.11.2022 21:16:39] Amphion: Spire: true, it was a hard battle we have won
[27.11.2022 21:16:54] INS-Richmond: Miles: We've seen more atrocities than you did, I'm sure of that.
[27.11.2022 21:17:11] INS-Richmond: Miles: We've been the prime enemy of "democracy".
[27.11.2022 21:17:50] INS-Richmond: Miles: It's safe to say that the damages from the First Nomad War weren't as harsh as the ones the Navy did to us.
[27.11.2022 21:17:55] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : I'm sorry to hear that. But, that must mean you're familiar with the struggle.
[27.11.2022 21:17:57] Amphion: Spire: so called 'democracy' in Liberty that its Naval Fleet kills innocent civilians
[27.11.2022 21:17:58] INS-Justice: Armstrong: The "righteous" Liberty government is too far gone to become anything that would resemble a fair system.
[27.11.2022 21:18:34] INS-Justice: Armstrong: They've slaughtered our innocent civilians in cold blood.
[27.11.2022 21:18:47] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : There's no one but freemen here. You're free to be who you are. Believe in whatever you want. As long as you have
[27.11.2022 21:19:00] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : The empire before your own needs.
[27.11.2022 21:19:08] Amphion: my friend and captain Excomunicado has seen many battles as well, a battle hardened warrior
[27.11.2022 21:19:08] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : Do that, and we'll get along just fine.
[27.11.2022 21:19:50] INS-Richmond: Miles: We will pay our respects to the Deterrence in kind and blood, but not as a mercenary force.
[27.11.2022 21:20:33] INS-Justice: Armstrong: We will help your people for causes they truly believe in.
[27.11.2022 21:20:39] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : By accepting our terms, you owe the Empire a great debt. It'll be expected of you to pay it accordingly.
[27.11.2022 21:20:49] Amphion: Spire: we will protect your people and will not let civilians die for a wrong cause
[27.11.2022 21:21:05] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : The benefit of the Empire's protection is rarely extended, and it is sure not offered to the weak.
[27.11.2022 21:21:50] DTR-F.J.Gonzales: Ola
[27.11.2022 21:21:53] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : You and your crew will be free to do whatever they desire, but when the Empire calls, it should be answered.
[27.11.2022 21:22:05] Amphion: Greetings, Gonzales
[27.11.2022 21:22:19] INS-Justice: Armstrong: Greetings, corsair.
[27.11.2022 21:22:20] DTR-F.J.Gonzales: Good Day Amphion
[27.11.2022 21:22:34] DTR-F.J.Gonzales: Greetings Senor Armstrong
[27.11.2022 21:22:45] DTR-F.J.Gonzales: Ola Amigo
[27.11.2022 21:23:05] INS-Justice: Armstrong: That can be arranged.
[27.11.2022 21:23:22] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : Strikecraft. Report. Any hostile activity nearby?
[27.11.2022 21:23:42] DTR-F.J.Gonzales: None i saw on the way here
[27.11.2022 21:24:01] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : Understood.
[27.11.2022 21:24:47] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : Insurgency captains, dock with the station and initiate crew transfers when you are ready.
[27.11.2022 21:25:09] INS-Justice: Armstrong: We are still a vessel short, i am afraid.
[27.11.2022 21:25:11] DTR-F.J.Gonzales: i go look around while you senor talk shop
[27.11.2022 21:25:23] INS-Justice: Armstrong: Crew transfers?
[27.11.2022 21:25:32] INS-Justice: Armstrong: What do you exactly mean by that?
[27.11.2022 21:26:03] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : The crew will be placed in triage where the wounded and sick will be treated. Your ships will be staffed by medical
[27.11.2022 21:26:10] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: ...personel, too.
[27.11.2022 21:26:16] INS-Justice: Armstrong: Ah, copy that.
[27.11.2022 21:26:29] Amphion: Spire: received, we will do
[27.11.2022 21:26:31] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : Records of the crew will be taken. Make sure everyone is accounted for.
[27.11.2022 21:28:12] INS-Justice: Armstrong: Medical team onboard.
[27.11.2022 21:28:38] Amphion: Spire: medical team confirmed on board
[27.11.2022 21:28:50] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : Good news. Among then, some of our staff will tak-
[27.11.2022 21:29:13] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: TAC - ? : Small contact. Possibly a drone.
[27.11.2022 21:29:17] INS-Richmond: Miles: Looks like the Navy won't even let us treat our wounded.
[27.11.2022 21:29:45] Amphion: Greetings, captain
[27.11.2022 21:30:06] [IN]-Excommunicado: Erwin Smith: Sorry for my late arrival, and greetings gents.
[27.11.2022 21:30:24] INS-Richmond: Miles: Captain, meet our saviour.
[27.11.2022 21:30:25] INS-Justice: Armstrong: Greetings Smith.
[27.11.2022 21:30:36] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : The military knows about our little meeting. eh?
[27.11.2022 21:30:42] [IN]-Excommunicado: Smith: Greetings cpt. Tavros.
[27.11.2022 21:30:45] Amphion: Spire: if you have wounded crew, dock on the station, the Corsairs will provide medical attention
[27.11.2022 21:30:49] INS-Justice: Armstrong: They do now.
[27.11.2022 21:30:58] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : We should make haste. Confirm crew transfer. We shouldn't linger any longer.
[27.11.2022 21:31:07] INS-Richmond: Miles: But they didn't had the guts to bring another ship this time.
[27.11.2022 21:31:08] INS-Justice: Armstrong: Copy that.
[27.11.2022 21:31:20] [IN]-Excommunicado: Smith: Affirmative.
[27.11.2022 21:31:36] INS-Justice: Armstrong: Probably still licking their wounds.
[27.11.2022 21:32:05] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : Crew check. Vital systems check. Captains, just give us the greenlight and we'll set course.
[27.11.2022 21:32:24] Amphion: Spire: Medicals on board
[27.11.2022 21:32:25] INS-Justice: Armstrong: Justice-actual is ready for departure.
[27.11.2022 21:32:28] DTR-F.J.Gonzales: Possible hostile on the horizon
[27.11.2022 21:32:37] INS-Richmond: Miles: Captain, all of our wounded are being taken care of. We can proceed at your leissure.
[27.11.2022 21:33:13] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : Good. We depart at once. Follow our lead. Your sensors are not tuned to navigate through the omicrons.
[27.11.2022 21:33:26] [IN]-Excommunicado: Smith: Medicals on board.
[27.11.2022 21:33:31] INS-Richmond: Miles: Lead on.
[27.11.2022 21:33:54] [IN]-Excommunicado: Smith: Forming a formation.
[27.11.2022 21:34:04] Amphion: Spire: on formation
[27.11.2022 21:34:43] INS-Richmond: Miles: Detecting radiation.
[27.11.2022 21:34:59] DTR-CNS>Cimitarra: CIC - ? : Follow us through the jumphole. There will be debris on the other side.
This is cpt. Erwin Smith of Battlecruiser [IN]-Excommunicado speaking!
We have successfully arrived in Omicron Minor from Omicron Nu’s jump hole and we are continuing our passage alongside our fellow Corsair friend DTR-CNS>Cimitarra and his comrades to their Home world with full speed, heading towards the unknown for the sake of our people, in desperate need of protection and shelter, until then, we cannot afford to stop even for a minute ! Remembering the beauty of Omicron Minor, the home world of The Orders and comparing its conditions now, it should motivate us all to unite as one, a force fighting against Evil.
These memories of Planet Toledo and its perfect condition, the times when my little brother sgt. Andrew Smith was still alive and kicking, that tricky brain brings back memories, filled with a lot of joy in seeing his smile, hearing his voice and the way he laughs with his crew members, but since the Nomads invasion of Minor, my brother was declared M.I.A. and from that moment, everything turned into high radiating clouds, shipwrecks, dust and somewhere in-between, Andrew’s ship and crew lays lifeless and undiscovered… He was still too young to die, may he at least suffered a painless death, with all these hopes, once we meet in Valhalla, we will bask in good and fine ale while sharing our life stories – either sad or happy. There is possibility, that he might be alive, that I’ll have another chance in seeing his smile, that I’ll hear his warm voice, but after all, it’s just my lonely hopes in something almost impossible to happen.
Anyways, there it is, traveling through old memories, with a ship carrying a huge load of innocent civilians seeking shelter and protection, through a very old and destroyed system, there was this scary and eerie feeling of unsettling anger. Even only passing through the current state of Planet Toledo, seemed horrific and devastating at the same time, the planet probably has zero chance of rebuilding any type of life form, with these high levels of radiation, obviously uninhabitable for humans. That devastated orbital space, called “Toledo Graveyard”, filled with The Core and The Order shipwrecks, among all of them, one in particular got my attention. The ship wreck of Battleship Isis, Andrew and his crew were serving the captain of the Isis, following all commands during their last stand at Planet Toledo, buying time for the retreating Order forces, my brother probably gave these aliens hell of a fight. But there was something else in this eerie place, right behind Toledo, an unidentifiable vessel, surrounded in clouds, dust and rock formations, it was like a “Ghost ship”, but still operating at its full power, whatever that vessel was, now it’s far behind the engines.
As an Ex-Insurgency soldier, still remembering the duties, in such hard times - we have to help each other to survive, the hospitality of Deterrence is quite generous towards us, we don’t know them and they don’t know us, but still they decided to give us a hand, so we can survive, so we can feel safe and feel at HOME. Many have labeled Deterrence as a very arrogant and mean organization, but Deterrence seemed to be otherwise of what others have said, may the Gods keep it that way. For now the main purpose, is to bring all these people to safety, to let them have a brighter future and more reasons to never give up. Looking at it in a different way, Deterrence represents itself to be a big and helpful organization with many opportunities for all of us, let’s just hope that we will get the chance to prove our loyalty and show them our best !
Diary of Captain Spire of the Amphion vessel
Location:Omicron Rho
Our combined fleet of Corsairs and Insurgency vessels reached Omicron Rho. There was a big ancient structure on our way in, not sure how long has it been here. I guess aliens present is lurking somewhere in the corners. As I understood from the Corsairs captains, this system is occupied mostly of Core vessels. Have not heard much of them, only rumors that they have used the The Order versus Nomads battle in the lost of Toledo to make a win situation over The Order and that the Nomads posses advanced technology never seen before. This crew always loved the challenge, so we may face them some day in a glorious battle as the The Order, defenders of humanity did. There was a long way to our next point that was Omicron XI and it is Corsair Empire territory. We moved together the whole time as one, with Detterence captains taking the lead. The system seemed very dead while we were passing.
It was a good trip through that system without any emergencies, we always prepare for the worst, we have seen it already in many battles. We passed the Core shipyard called Alabama near planet Rio and we reached the Omicron XI jump hole. Our jorney continued in Omicron XI system.
Fire and Fury,
Spire out

Tavros' log. Append. The escort of the insurgent ships was a success. No major incidents along the planned route. Everyone seems to be accounted for, and the medical staff is already treating the injured. The engineering crews are assessing damage and planning for the start of repairs. All according as planned.
On the first encounter, back in Omicron Nu, They seemed cooperative as expected. The captains didn't have much of a choice. It's either join under the shadow of the empire, or be killed like cornered animals back in Liberty. Glad to confirm they're as smart as I thought.
Their fleet consists of several capital ships, worn out by combat and lack of repair. Their crew is mixed with civilians and military personnel. Most of them too unfit to serve the empire because of their injuries or psychological effects. This is where our capable medical staff comes in. Our contacts around the border worlds and the houses should provide the necessary medical equipment and medicine. I am not particularly worried about their health. The people of planet Veracruz has endured for long, and I expect them to endure this transition, too.
I, personally, am eager to see what those insurgents have to offer. Lead technical engineer of the company, Cisseus, shares my eagerness to reverse engineer operating liberty technology and integrate to our own. Any advantages to our combat fleets is welcome.
I watch closely their actions within their empire. The successful assimilation is crucial for the success of this operation. I intend for this process to be as smooth as possible, with the help of the Executor, if necessary.
This is captain Spire of battlecruiser vessel Amphion.
We would like to thank you for letting us stay in your home system and planet Crete.
Our crew is happy for the help provided from he Deterrence fleet. As we are warriors like you, me and my crew would like to continue our cooperation and have a meeting at Deterrence Sanctrum to get to know each other better and exchange knowledge. Our battlecruiser needs further repairs to continue operating.
We would like to offer our help to defend your people against any threat that arise. Our crew has had many battles and we are always eager to fight for a good cause. All we ask for is for further repairs and possible new equipment and food. Then we can start operating in your systems and protect them from enemy incursions. As far as we know you have many enemies and the main ones are Outcasts, Core, Nomads and Hessians. Even a man who has nothing can still offer his life. Only in death does duty end.
