As promised, administrators will be making the option to move bases available for a limited time, specifically for two weeks. Owners of existing bases can request a one-time relocation of their base in the following thread until January 7th, 2014:
Please read the given instructions before posting, and only post a request if it's necessary for your base. As a side note, owners of the relocated bases with defense modules active would have to reposition their platforms themselves, as the previous platform locations will be lost once the relocation is complete.
Hello I dont own a base on this server but I'd like to make a sudgestion:
Could the admins (or base owners) not only relocate bases but also make sure they are straight.
From experience I know that no matter how hard to orient your ship correctly when you create a base, they still sometimes come out, well... crooked. An example on the RP24/7 server was the base in front of Manhattan (forgot the name). It was kind of leaning backwards.
A possibility to fix this is by editing the ASCII base files on the server. You can make a base, and then edit the file till the base is straight.
It used to be possible to easily create your own server as long as you deactivated the TCP/IP6 protocol, how ever with 4.87 the server thing always crashes for me.
Could someone who knows the base plugin well and who knows how to make a server write a short tutorial for base owners so they know their base wont come out all crooked and ugly again?
The crooked base in front of Manhattan always made the mod appear uglier to me, and it would give an overall better impression if the semi-permanent bases looked good.

Good suggestion. That thing's always bugged me too.
A better solution than manually editing them though, would be improving the base plugin itself to automatically round up the rotation parameters. I'll talk to the hook guys to see if this is even possible, and if so, hopefully they can do the magic to actually implement it with the next update.
