Background -
The Dangerous Requisitions Exploration Division is a newly formed confederate of Gallic Metal Service miners that have agreed to sign waivers for much more lucrative employment contracts and ludicrous incentives. These waivers place the risk of pilot and craft into the captain's hands completely, and only those pilots that completely own their ships allowed in on the incentive scheme. Only the best (or the most desperate) agree to sign these waivers - the pilots and crews are literally signing their lives away. Miners are encouraged to go on high risk multimillion credit excursions to plunder as much foreign asset (particularly Bretonia) as possible.
Completely endorsed by high ranking officials close to the Crown these "high-risk, high profit" operations have one clear goal - accumulate as much of Sirius's raw resources as possible without exhausting the natural resources of the Kingdom. This is a two-bladed sword - ensuring raw materials for the Gallic Metal Service's ever hungry smelters while employing strategic resource-denial tactics against the enemies of Gallia. This approach will ensure that the Gallic Royal Navy can keep producing large amounts of capital vessels well into its late-game strategy of conquering Sirius for itself.
The establishment of Stokes Smelter is a major project and rumours found on the base suggest that not only does the GMS intend to sink resources into getting the stripped-down base back to production level standards quickly but also that there is one possibly operable smelter. The occupation of the base and occasional film crews for reality TV shows have allowed these frontier mining "rockstars" to become quite heroic figures back home in the Kingdom, thus spurring their eagerness to push ahead and boost acquisition quotas, restore the station, and sometimes perform brazen snatch-and-grabs in enemy mining areas.
Goals -
Primary function - Acquire raw assets from outside Gallia's current borders and bring them home while simultaniously weakening the other houses raw resource pool. The more ore we secure from enemy territory, the less raw asset that can be used to build or buy ships to be used against the Kingdom while at the same time supplementing the construction of Gallic Navy vessles.
Secondary function - Act like a snooty, stuck-up, snail-eating snob while you are doing it. This is real jewel-hiest cat burglar stuff right here. You should never get caught. If you do, you are pretty much on your own (remember that waiver you signed? Yea).
