The Wild, a group of alien possessed humans are known problem to Omega region. Despite efforts of many Rheinland organisations - both lawful and unlawful - to counter this menace, Das Wilde as they are known there remain significant problem. Those infectees are known to raid civilian traffic between Bretonia and Rheinland using broken IFF transponders and military hardware to further fear and destruction among the population. Their most recent exploit was hostile takeover of independent Cameron base in Omega 9 border world.
The Order is a group that despite massive effort of IMG to colonize the system - counter effective to strategies put in place to limit The Wild infiltration - took a mantle to liberate station before Nomad scourge would be able to take over system completely. In the deep reaches of Omicrons however, group known as Guild Core who are PMC contingent of Bounty Hunter's Guild are doing their best effort to assist alien invasion on the Sirius. In their guildmaster's ignorance, their agenda is solely focused on stealing Nomad technology for their own, nefarious purpose.
Tonight Omicron 74 has seen day of critical importance to Omicron's region well being and status quo. "Zoner Alliance" installation known as "Kappa Defense Station mk4" has been permanently removed by The Order taskforce to ensure free flow of traffic of suppliers through this system. To remind, so called Alliance is group of deluded warlords that terrorize population of edge worlds. Their various crimes included smuggling of dangerous technologies and alien remains, putting in question whether they still remained human after their apparent incursion deep into Nomad space.
Alliance's reign of terror started as group used their newly constructed installations to close down Omicron 74 for the public, angering several organisations heavily involved with this passage. Conflict escalated as The Order acquired undeniable proof that ZA deals in highly dangerous and prohibited branches of xeno-science. It is impossible to confirm whether their leadership are clear or infested due to them being isolated within deep armored cores of their now crumbling bases, long since falling to siege mentality.
It has been more than two weeks since destruction of Freeport 101 in dangerous system of Omega 9 and beggining of official investigation. Despite best efforts on behalf of The Order, mystery behind catastrophy has only been answered partially. Many factors rendered discovering true fate and current whereabouts of FP 101's impossible. It is widely known that both official and unnoficial Zoner records are ill-fated with innacuracy, suffering from vast inconsistencies, if kept at all. This issue, combined with conflicting sources and lack of recorded evidence, stalled the investigation.
At this point, it is known that Commonwealth established itself in Omega 41, gaining administration rights over Freeport 5 - diminishing importance of Freeport 101. The Wild raids are not uncommon in Omega 9, for which The Order warned IMG and their associates multiple times. It is not farfetched that continous Nomad assaults could be a major contribution to eventual collapse. The Order reminds that Omega 9 is not a "business opportunity". It remains a grave threat to any human passing through. Ill-advised Guild's expansion sunk billions of credits and costed many lives, yielding nothing but more opportunities for Nomads to exploit. The Order - once again - requests to cease unfruitful exploitation of Omega 9.
In recent events, The Order command revealed that Core guildmaster Aleister Corke was captured last month. Currently kept in undisclosed location, Corke has been since extensively questioned concerning his activities in Core and crimes against mankind committed while serving in said organisation. It is believed he was set up and left to die in Nomad Worlds by his own top commanders, possibly Lucia Nielsen who served in capacity as second in command.
Aleister Corke, Bretonian national joined ranks of Warhound Brigade, one of Core battlegroups to eventually rise in rank all the way up through chain of command. His crimes include genocide committed against civilian population of Toledo as Warhound Brigade under his command struck into population centers with no military value to induce fear into hearts of The Order defenders. For premeditated slaughter of non-combatant colonists of Toledo, he is expected to face a death sentence.
Bounty Hunter Guild Core as its full name stands, is well funded subsidiary of BHG. Operating as private military company beyond colonial borders, it has little resemblance to lawful mercenaries in the houses. Primary difference is that Core does not take government sponsored bounties or offer armed services to law abiding citizens. Instead, group takes carte blanche on waging war against targets designated to either appease their benefactors or indirectly to further their goals. Sponsored mainly by governments, certain corporations and rich oligarchs, it is comprehensive military organisation composed of the best that Guild has to offer.
Despite initial infrastructure and administration was incorporated in Liberty, Core PMC focused its operations in border and edge worlds. Basing mainly off Freeport 9, these mercenaries raided respectively both Maltese and Cretan homeworlds, irritating two great pirate empires against Zoners. Their contracts however were quickly expanded to simple assassinations of “undesired” elements designated by the rich and powerful of Sirius. Were they mere fugitives or those simply unlucky to cross less than moral elites found that not even in Omicrons they were safe from revenge and prosecution.
~Fall of Zoner Alliance in year 818 A.S. allegedly caused Core and Corsairs to cease conflict between the two entirely
It was not until 815 A.S. that Core PMC turned against The Order. Shareholders and clients of the Guild found unhealthy desire to obtain and secure Nomad technology for their own purpose. Increased funds to meet the requirements accelerated development of company to challenge difficulties common to alien worlds deep within Edge nebula. Under guise of ending Nomad threat, Core begun its secret crusade against The Order instead. For inhabitants of Omicrons, conflict escalated beyond all known limits. In time, Core decided to obtain more independence by capitalizing on technology theft and few of Omicron riches known to this part of space.
Systematically exterminating peaceful inhabitants of Nauru, Guild desired to settle desert world for their own in the near future. Iridium mining provided formidable source of revenue to proceed fulfilling Guildmasters own agenda. Tyrannical rule of Core over Omicron Delta is challenged only by The Order, answering to repeated cases of genocide, technology theft and illegal research of volatile Xeno-research. It is known that Core research is concluded with little to no care concerning safety standards, with final purpose being complete dominance over Omicrons and likely Sirius with weaponized products of their conquests.
After several unprovoked assaults by the Corsairs, The Order fleet mobilized for a counter attack. In respond to indiscriminate attacks against The Order vessels and peaceful colonists under their protection, small battlegroup infiltrated war-torn Omega systems. With element of surprise, combined strike force managed to disrupt Corsair's artifact smuggling routes to Bretonia and Liberty - reporting to remove several transport's worth of artifacts out of circulation. Aproximately 60% of smugglers and their vessels perished, citing uncompliance when confronted by interdictors.
Considering operation as notable success, The Order command released additional information that 3 hostile warships were crippled or destroyed in the process. It is known that only one belonged to the Corsairs themselves, notably being flatlined while still in embrace of its homebase. Knowingly accepting risks of escalation, The Order Overwatch released statement that "No attacks on The Order will go unpunished. Corsairs have crossed the line this time."
It has been a month since The Order pulled out its fleets from Omicron 74 after succesful conclusion of military intervention. With "Alliance" crushed, peace has settled as status quo was restored. Local Zoners rebuilt since, no longer threatened by heavy weapon platforms of those who called themselves their kin. Phoenix - the biggest and most influential Zoner group in Omicrons are finally relieved burden of war at their very home, already had faced hardships of the Nomad infested worlds.
It is currently unknown how long this state of affairs will last. While Omicron 74 was ussualy spared confrontations that surrounded Zoner installations such as Freeport 9 and 11, terrorists attacks on the system proved no place is really safe in the end. Corsair aggressive expansion has not yet affected local Zoner installations and Nomad assaults can happen at any time and place without warning. On other hand The Order is remaining vigilant against threats of origin both extra-terrestial and from within humanity itself.
Planet Toledo stands for a symbol for The Order as to what atrocities both human and alien can commit against humankind. Originally a harsh but habitable icy world with capability to sustain both human and native life without neccesity of terraforming. Located in central Omicron systems, it was settled by The Order operatives shortly before Nomad War. Since then, it has evolved into thriving colony of million colonists: Zoners, families to serving operatives of The Order, refugees and even disgrunted Corsairs. It became heart of The Order space, a safe harbor among Nomad infested worlds. Human greed was to crush it all.
It all changed with arrival of Core, whose mercenary army fuelled by profit-seeking bounty hunters, slaves and convicts besieged Toledo. Instead of following their alleged agenda of eliminating Nomad threat, Core concetrated their warmachine to confront The Order. Still, should Nomads not interfere, The Order would be succesful at eliminating Core fleets that pushed carelessly deep into hostile space.
~Omicron conflict circa 818 A.S.
Core underestimated effort The Order has put into ensuring safety of planet Toledo. Nevertheless they were challenging enemy... knowing that retreat was a death verdict on hands of their own leaders, Core relentlessly stormed Toledo without care for their own cassualties. That strike served mainly as smokescreen for landing of their troops upon the surface. Their savagery was unlike any other encountered in any conflict known to man since Alliance-Coalition war. Civilian settlements of no strategic value whatsoever were targetted in elaborate plan to eradicate entire planet's population in preparation for their own colonists.
Yet before battle could be resolved in Order's favor, aliens descended upon weakened sides of conflict in orbit of Toledo. Great tragedy of Toledo: Combined assault of Core and Nomads overcame planetary defense systems, leaving colonists defenseless to butchery commited by the invaders. Despite commitment of entire Order logistic assets it was impossible to evacuate inhabitants to other colonies in The Order protectorate. Hurt but not crushed, The Order continues the fight. Those responsible for deaths of hundreds of thousand colonists will face inevitable justice and be eliminated once and for all to secure peace for tommorow.
~Planet Toledo as of 821 A.S.
Fate of colonists that remained on the planet is known. If they have not met death in heinous Core's crimes against humanity itself, inhabitants faced swift end in Nomad orbital bombardment that followed. Survivors were buried alive under molten rock and crumbling ruins of their very homes as planet's fate has been sealed. Nowadays, by directive of The Order Overwatch, Toledo is designated as an monument to all lost in struggle to ensure humanity's survival.
Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army (SCRA for short) - sad remnant of Sol Coalition, the reason for our exodus centuries ago - appears to have stabilized since new premier was sworn in after a coup. Now premier Ben Warner, with help of him loyal elements with military took power by force. This military dictatorship is notoriously infamous for their official aim to enslave Sirius under their own oppressive regime and incapability of forming long-term standing government. Heads of "state" are being replaced either by complacent follower of previous premier or, be ousted or killed through means of civil war.
Historically, SCRA came out of obscurity as multi-national communist movement originally allied with Corsairs for need of their military hardware prior to gaining own foothold in Omegas. Amid rejection by the governments - rightfully distancing themselves from ideals that razed our own homeworld, SCRA begun supporting various socialist and separatist factions across Sirius. Their expansion was brought to a halt upon their treacherous, unprovoked assault against The Order. While subsequent armed conflict was with time devolved into a cold war, Sirius Coalition lost influence in not only Omicron cluster, but also Houses of Kusari and Liberty.
