There is a certain itch that I believe the Raiders and their assets could aid me in scratching. It would require the Raiders bring some of their heavier assets from the Gallic Front, but I believe it is of vital importance to the safety of the Second Popular Revolution that a certain something be handled.
There is no need to fear about the morality of this one. This is a Military target, one that means each and every one of my innocent men great harm.
I first must know if you're interested. Have I your ear, Taskmaster?
You have my attention, my full support, and an armed and operational Vagrant Raiders carrier wing at your disposal. All we need is details on where and what we're dealing with.
The target will be "Sturmgrenadier HQ". This station is at the time of this transmission relatively unguarded by platforms, but it more than makes up for it with ornery Buro Agent Garrisons.
Presume that by the time your forces arrive that it will be shielded. I was unable to discern whether it presently was or not. I would recommend the use of smaller assets if possible for their mobility, but I am uncertain whether they alone will be enough for such an installation.
This is... Well. The first outright assault upon a military installation in at least a year that the Widerstand has taken part in. And the first spearheaded by myself.
Prepare your forces and have them at Dresden within twelve hours; Zwickau Depot at the Northern edge of the Schwefelnebel will shelter and resupply as needed. By then I will have a briefing for the operation drafted and hopefully adequate forces of our own handpicked.
I hope your forces enjoy their "welcome back" to Rheinlandic Space, Taskmaster.
If I had known that what would have happened would happen...
*he pinches his brow a moment*
I humbly apologize for having acted so rashly at the end of last transmission. It was overconfidence where it was genuinely not needed, and it only makes me look stupid in retrospect.
I haven't heard word of the Metropolis' current location, but I'm presuming you're having repairs conducted via smaller craft within one of the nebulae? Our focus has understandably remained here in Dresden and on a certain wayward, vital ship of ours today.
Long-windedness aside, the men you lost on that fateful day may have been avenged by the accomplishment of what you came for, but we'll work together to honor their memory. If there is anything we can do for your assets in Rheinland in the meantime, I'll see to it that it happens. I understand the Gallic Front is still a threat to your true home, and I intend to at least see the Metropolis and other ships safely out of Rheinland so another Zwickau doesn't happen again.
All I can ask in return at present is a status report.
The Metropolis made a blind jump to what was thankfully the Luneburg system. Repairs are beginning, and progressing incredibly slowly. The ship can move under its own power now that the innermost layer of plating has been patched up on the starboard side. However, I don't think we'll be out of your hair just yet. I don't want to get her in the open until we've got at least another layer of armour done and the outermost hull plating so it appears to be completely repaired.
Hope you don't mind if we stay a little while longer. We might be able to work something out in return regarding a new design my chief engineer is working on.
Do let me know if we can help regarding this design. I... Cannot say that the Bundschuh have a great deal of experience in ship design as you've likely seen, but we may be able to contact those who can.
