What exactly did you haul, and how long did it take you?
It was alien organism and the travel took around 15-20 mins (with lane drops, etc.) or more. (Didnt watch the time, but it was a formal trip, from A to B without a break).
To be honest I lost just one item and that went poof when I was just 2 lanes from California Minor.
The starting point was Kurile, so...
It says "Highly Perishable" and I lost 1 item.
So weird.
Edit:
1 minute / item is damn slow if you ask me.
I think boosting the price and highly lower their durability could be far better than the current situation. At the moment these commodities are nearly the same like any other around Sirius.
Bloodl1ke got the point but he went hardcore mode. I think perishable items could be an option to use fast freighters or to risk more money. For example, if you catched by a pirate with this kind of commodities, the "time is money" proverb will be reality.
Doesn't need to be exact halflife as in 50%, can be something as light as maybe 20% or even 10%. That means if you have 500 you'd lose 50 (10%), then you have 450 so you lose 45, then you have 405 so you lose 40 and you have 365. It's not that drastic if X seconds means a couple of minutes.
