Dear sir, it has come to the attention of the Gallic Brigands that your Bourges base is currently vulnerable to attack. Naturally we wouldn't want anything to... happen to it, so for a mere 100 million credits sent to the ship "Infiltrator", we can provide a protection service, and help get you, and all your people, through this difficult time.
Of course if you dont pay, well we really cant say what will happen, after all, in these terrible times of war; Space Is Dangerous.
Salut.

Pierre St.Denis is sitting at his desk trying to catch upon the backlog of paperwork. His console bleeps as an incoming message arrives. He decides to not to be sidetracked from his work and ignores it. Nearly an hour passes an then his console bleeps again.
'Damn, will I ever get any peace?' he says out loud as he opens the first message. 'Oh! it is from the Gallic Brigands, I wonder what they want?' he thinks to himself as he reads the very short message.
He sighs a sigh of relief once he digested the content on the message. 'Not too bright these Gallic Brigands' he thinks to himself. 'Not only have they sent it to the wrong people, they have told us the name of one of their ships'. 'Maybe I should contact Johnnie Lappiere and let him know that he has a potential problem' he mutters to himself. 'In these terrible times of war; Space Is Dangerous' he reads. He suddenly bursts out in a great roar of laughter. 'These people are the Masters of the obvious' he says to the console, which just mutely looks back at him.
He then opens the second message 'Sacre bleu' he exclaims 'it is from the same idiots'. He looks in amazement as he notices that the demanded figure has dropped from 100 million to 99 million. He shakes his head in utter disbelief and wonders if they think that 99 is more than 100 because 9 is bigger than 1s and 0s.
He composes himself whilst he thinks of what to write.
Bonjour Gallic Brigands,
I have received your 2 communications and I am replying to them. I must inform you that they have been sent to the wrong place. The Base, Gallic Matal Service, that is in Bourges belongs to Johnnie Lappiere. He runs a subsidiary of Gallic Metal Service. And as such he has complete autonomy, from GMS Headquarters, in the day to day running of his Facility. You will have to contact him , directly, if you expect any protection money.
