Thats actually a better way of wording it than I could come up with.
So... Basically a law-less part of space with a station controlled by nobody in particular, almost like Barrier Gate but for baddies specifically. Could also be used as a sell-point for a buncha contraband in the event the random trader happens by it and dosent get shot to pieces.
I'm really liking the model of Shadowhaven for this.. kinda reminds me of Omega, which may've spurred on the idea in the first place.

Since for whatever reason, since I used to post like that all the time, my previous post has been considered too "offensive" despite me lacking any intention to troll anyone in this topic, let me reword it as moderators told me to challege that decision.
Giving Cayman to Zoners/another group/faction for no apparent reason, pushed forward by couple of individuals over and over did not bought its popularity among devs/community. I express my excessive boredom in hearing the same arguments over and over and even as I have nothing left in common with currently dead RoS. Zoners are already single most overdeveloped groups on disco and they dont need to claim yet another system given it goes against NPC faction's interest to claim any patch of space in such contested region as Omegas are.
Go find yourself another faction/have fun within confines of what Zoner is.

I was doing good job of keeping faction alive for ~2 more years since I joined. Unfortunately I was kept away from actual 1iC/2iC position until faction was basically unsalvagable activity-wise at that point. Besides, this also inhibited potential of my character so I have moved on. I thought about this decision for long time, weighing various possibilities and consequences. In my eyes I took the right choice.
Pirate Den's idea... What happened with Freeport 1/2/10, Barrier Gate and various assortment of Junker bases? Have general consensus of independent pirates lost diplomatic sense or are unable to cope with taking care of their personnal diplomacy? Where's that thrill and what is purpose of getting station in middle of nowhere?
Who are the Bunkers? If you mean Bunters as in Bounty Hunter's Guild, the closest thing they get to own a system would be Rho and Delta. Then again it's territory of Core offshot which is currently working on separating interests and assets of BHG & Core.

Sorry was typing apny mobile so got mistake, I mean junkers
You can ignore reality but you can not ignore consequences of ignoring reality
Junkers, in my view are generally attracted to houses which produce glorious amounts of scrap since Space Americans begun building Space America. There is not much to salvage in Omegas... wouldn't it be too far from their usual camping grounds?
Also, official Omicron notice:
Dont ask me how to join Reapers on PM's as I am in no position to help or give legitimate answer. I am no longer part of the faction, my character has moved on months ago. You might try with a showel and dose of necromancy perhaps.
