The subject infiltrated a GMG planetary installation on Planet Kurile to modify and hijack a Viper VHF successfully. Some of this report relies on hearsay.
Here is what we know.
At 4:10 local time a team of space ship engineers arrived at the GMG checkpoint on Planet Kurile. The team was authenticated and cleared for entry, the guard recorded "a team of specialists with orders to install new weapons, 7 personnel". Later questioning revealed nothing useful about the teams appearance or behavior
At 4:20 the manifest controller of the GMG hanger signed two new Viper VHF to the mechanical bay for modifications and maintenance. According to the manifest controller the operation was according to previous orders
At 4:48 the manifest controller reported the Vipers on route to the Samura launch facilities.
Close to 5:00 an explosion was heard by multiple personel and detected by two early warning drones
At 5:01 Battle stations was called and the installation was locked down
At 5:06 Everyone was told to stand down by command, the explosion apparently resulted from a malfunctioning gas container near the installation
-insert- The team of mechanics was not seen after this time and never signed out at the checkpoint.
At 5:08 The officer in command at Samura planetary docking control gave the confirmation for scheduled GMG test flights.
At 5:09 A Viper VHF was launched. The pilot identifies himself as BigWoodFarmer to launch control.
Around 5:12 While loading of the second Viper VHF into the launch bay, one of its engines explodes. The launch bay is locked down and emergency teams are called on site.
The launched Viper VHF did not report in at orbital control and neglected to follow the previously laid out course. It never reponded to any hails to return or disengage until it left sensor range.
At 5:14 GMG Orbital control issued a general distress call to all surrounding vessel and Miners. The orders were to disable the Viper VHF on sight.
Pursuit vessel could not be launched for the Planet.

Speculation: A few different organizations could be responsible for this, the many criminal elemets in this area of space and even companies from the Rheinland or Kusari houses. It is unclear what the ultimate goal of this theft was, many questions remain. Since the viper VHF was not seen or recorded on any jump gate databases in the Sigma systems, it is likely to be somewhere in the edge world or outer systems. It is also unclear if this will stay an isolated incident, this may very well be the start of a much larger operation against the claims of the GMG in the Sigma systems. But again, it could be the work of a lone pilot seeking a ship or revenge on the GMG, the information at hand doesn't suffice for accurate assumptions.
Recommendations:
Increase Patrols around GMG installations within and around Sigma. Security check points at known jump holes around all installations and bases. Inquire about subject through known channels.
