Akita Border Station, a rather small facility, especially when compared to some other stations scattered throughout Kusari Space. You hadn't expected much when you first arrived, after all, this little outpost in the Honshu system was far from the raucous nightlife, bright lights, and huge crowds, found on the surface of New Tokyo.

Nevertheless, you and many other Kusari citizens have found yourselves here, eager to become a part of something greater than any one individual, eager to uphold the laws of the new Kusari Republic, and to protect her citizens from the criminal infestation seeking to take hold throughout the territories of Kusari.

After a few moments standing around, lost in thought, you and the group you're with are met by a young policeman clad in a typical blue cloth police uniform, dark pants with a lighter top. After the man gives a brief description of the Territorial Police Services, and of Akita station, you and your group are led down a brightly lit hallway, toward what appears to be a conference room, guarded by two police officers wearing the more "traditional" semi-armored gold colored uniforms of the Kusari State Police.

At this point, you step through the door and take a seat in one of the comfortable leather chairs set up around the long table in the center of the room. As you sit you notice a plastic datapad labeled "Trainee Entry Form" with a live connection to the neuralnet, on the table in front of you.

Not much to say about myself, I was born and raised on Planet Honshu, my father is a native Kusarian, my mother is from Liberty. Because of that, I had a more liberal upbringing than the typical Kusarian woman. My mother encouraged me to always make things happen for myself, and to let nobody tell me how to live my life. I recently graduated from Hosei University on New Tokyo, majored in Criminal Justice. I'd always planned to join the State Police. Hopefully we can soon be working together.

I am Masaharu Morimoto, formerly of the 34th Kusari Self-Defense Fleet. I wish to apply to a far less indiscriminate, dishonorable organization. You see, I have been deemed unfit for continued service with the Self-Defense Fleet. I was given a honorable discharged by those ungrateful, high-ranking officers.

Ever since our beloved Kusari turned into a Republic, I have seen firsthand cases of corruption within the Self-Defense Fleet, more prevalent than during the reign of the "Exiled Emperor". I tried to report it to my superiors but they reasoned that such a scandal would be detrimental to the image of the Self-Defense Fleet. I can no longer believe in the honorable and honest ways of the our once great Navy.

Being discharged from the Self-Defense Fleet, I can no longer apply for any naval positions within the Kusari Navy. What better way to serve the people of Kusari than to join the Police!

I hope that the honorable "Ryodo no Keisatsu Sabisu" would accept my application.

Brief Autobiography:
The Morimoto clan has been serving the House of Kusari ever since they colonized Planet of Kyushu. My ancestors have witnessed the House of Kusari being ruled by the Shogunate, to the coup of the Sakura Festival, to being ruled by Emperors and now to being ruled by a Prime Minister. I won't dwell into my family's long history.

My father before me has served in the Naval Forces, his father before him did so and so forth. Hence, from my birth, the tradition has been passed down to me. At an early age, I was home schooled by my mother. When I became a old enough, I was immediately sent off to the "National Defence Academy of Kusari". There I graduated and had been assigned to the 34th Self-Defence Fleet in command of a newly constructed gunship, the Seifukusha.

Being part of the Self-Defence Forces, I had been mainly assigned to defending the core systems of our beloved House. I had seen combat with many unlawful organizations, stopped many unlawful transports. I believe my experience would be a valuable addition to the Territorial Police Service.

I was born on Planet New Tokyo, 792 A.S. My father was also in the police, and so was his father, and his father before that and so forth. Being in the police is not only an honour, but a tradition within my family. My mother was a nurse, working in a local hospital. I enrolled in the police as I wish to carry on my family tradition.

The Police has always enthralled me. Such a noble cause; protecting citizens and monitoring the tradelanes is a dangerous, yet honourable type of work. I wish to not only honour my family by enrolling, but I also wish to honour the Police itself as well as honour Kusari.
