I've recently been working on a total remake of the weapon sounds in FL since i think its starting to get old and the game needs a little pick me up on its SoundFX.
So i rummaged my way through the Internets and found game sound files like Halo-4, Ground control 2, and god knows what could be melded together to fit in with the game (on my point of view)
But i need some feedback on what others think work in the game, and what edits need to be done.
Look at that, I've changed the video to one WITH effort, here is a little preview of the sounds involved in the mod:
*Note, photon weapons are an experiment to see if ballistic weapon sounds fit in due to their shaping of projectiles and muzzle effect from cannons. All in all, Credit goes to the authors and creators of these sounds, because they did pretty well in it too to make these. I own no Credit and the reason behind this modification is to provide a free basis to show my style of how i want Freelancer to sound after i got pretty bored of the original files.

Edit : the snub guns were cool....one thing that i see here is the used sound channels..and how Vanila Sounds are made.
the format used while making new Sounds for FL will add a Solid effect on the IN game Result.. and the Result is something hmm...not any close to being FL - Ish. i had the issue while making Engine sounds for FL . and i can feel it here as well.
perhaps its something to do with Sound channels in Stereo mode.
or maybe its Mono. i hope you find a way to fix it!
and for the FW gun ... you can use this as an Example.
[Update bump]: Minor changes made to the files, Logo added, looking to update these more in the future, all updates have been marked in a custard yellow
