This thread is dedicated to the deep stuff that random characters say, which proves that quoting famous/dead people saying deep crap doesn't really mean anything. .
Inspired by this picture, and a few quotes I heard recently from stupid stuff.
I started keeping a small list of ones I run across after seeing this, below are some of the ones I've jotted down.
"Caution's nothing without charisma! For if a man plays the fool, then its only fools he'll persuade. But appear to be The Devil and all men will submit." - Blackbeard, Assassin's Creed IV, 2014
"Walls that keep out danger, keep out knowledge" - Mayan God, The Simpsons, 2008
"What is better? To be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great effort?" - Paarthurnax, Skyrim, 2011
Gotta love when fictional characters from unintelligent sources (ok, Assassin's Creed is actually fairly intelligent and somewhat philosophical, and Blackbeard knew what he was doing) end up saying stuff as deep or deeper than something that some well respected person like Nelson Mandella or Abraham Lincoln said.
In 50 years, it won't be -insert respected and popular public figure here- that gets quoted saying something by someone trying to prove a point because they're incapable of defending their point with their own knowledge, nope, it will be video games quoted.
