Mini event - Omicron Beta rescue mission (18th Sep) COMPLETED

Event spawned out of the communication channel thread Transmission to anyone in Omicron Beta/Sigma-19

Premises: GMG Paramilitary wing sent out from Ogashawa in Sigma-19 to Omicron Beta, with the objective of finding the source of the transmission linked above, and if located, bring any possible survivors or equipment back home to Ogashawa.

Possible Outcast interference in or around Omicron Beta, with the objective of destroying or chasing away the GMG patrol trespassing their territory, meanwhile searching to destroy the source of the transmission, if deemed possible.

Possible third group parties present in the operative area, with their own agendas concerning the source, or not.

Participants:
Anyone who can justify their roleplay present in the area. Officials and indies, all the same. No prior notification or registration is required by any participants, though it's still encouraged to do so in this thread. The previously linked comm channel is "open to Outcasts and GMG primarily, but anyone else who can justify their receipt of message can stick their oar in."
Post responsibly.

Possible Event Conclusions:

• Source secured and brought back to Ogashawa by the rescue party.
  
• Rescue party destroyed and/or the source is lost to another party.

Time and date:
Thursday evening, 18th of September, starting at 18:00 SMT (note server time)
The GMG patrol will leave Ogashawa shortly after the start of the event.

I've a number of members that are ready and raring to participate, but sadly will not be able to due to the selected time and day of the event.

Good show everyone, I hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as I did!

Event conclusion:
The source Unknown.Contact (Mai Suma in a Garanchou, long lost explorer) were successfully located by the GMG rescue party in Omicron Beta. The rescued Garanchou made it back to Ogashawa in one piece (mostly), pilot and ship surviving.

The rescue party suffered heavy losses and were routed to a man.

The Outcasts suffered only minor losses but failed to destroy or capture the source.
