Sirs, I must report an incident of which I have recently become aware that occurred in the Baffin system (to those of you unfamiliar with the area, this is located near the Taus).
My family's vessel "Land O' T' Blind" was traveling through the area in search of leftovers from the nearby warzones, when she was accosted by a Bretonian Carrier with the callsign "Krish".
The warship pulled over my innocuous vessel and proceeded to interrogate her captain about her cargo. Upon discovering that she was, of course, hauling nothing untoward, said warship's captain began accusing us of using the "Land" as a piracy vessel within Liberty.
Now, unless my brother is right, and certain parties are indeed conducting mind control experiments, to my knowledge, none of my clan's vessels have ever been used to attack, unless it be in self defence, let alone been used to rob someone.
The captain of the "Land" was fully willing to accompany the warship back into Bretonian space to clear this matter up with the relevant authorities, but the Krish's captain was far more interested in shooting than talking, which leaves me now in the unenviable position of having to pick through the wreckage of one of my family's most valuable possessions, not to mention the harrowing task of searching for my own flesh and blood in the vacuum of space.
I hope such a callous and brutal attack on innocent bystanders will not go unpunished by those who saw fit to grant the keys of such a deadly weapon into the hands of such a trigger happy commander.
I enclose the logs of the exchange, drawn from the black box, the only piece of the vessel we have as yet recovered, as evidence of this atrocity.
