Recently, the Admins have discussed ways in which we could provide perks to Official factions. Official factions generally live up to a higher standard of RP. Unlike an indie player, who can simply walk away from a bad decision, Official factions have to live with the decisions they make, good and bad. This accountability has not gone rewarded enough.
Therefore, the Admins have voted on a particular method in which Official Factions can receive perks, but without taking away from independent players. We have already considered a number of perks we think you might be able to take advantage of, but we would like to get feedback from you on what perks you think Official Factions might benefit from.
Please note: This is a serious thread discussion. Not all ideas will be implemented, but they will all be considered. We think we have a fairly good grasp on what Official Factions want, but you may be able to come up with something we failed to consider.
Perks will be given based on behavior, activity, RP quality and things like that. How this method is implemented will be revealed shortly. Right now, we are looking for feedback on what kind of perks an Official faction might be interested in.
Extra Mining bonuses ?? More powerful ships ,Armors Like Au9 or Cau 9 .Special types of Weapons , Thrusters , Sheilds etc . wont affect the game that much and can be considered as perks .
Basically, I can see factions that rely on PvP getting PvP related perks, a capital vessel of their enemies, or something like that, which, usually need to be SRP'ed. Pirate factions, well, I don't really know what they can get from gaining perks. Maybe TLAGSnet access? Or a limited version of that? (though, it would cause so much tears on the forums)
Trading factions can be awarded, don't know if this can be implemented, a larger cargo hold ship, or something similar...one per faction. I can brainstorm a few more ideas, if I can guess properly. Or better, the faction leaders can ask what they need and the admins can verify it.
Though, yeah...this is a very welcome change-to-be.

Maybe a possibility to assist certain factions that don't fit into the "Can assist allied ships outside of it's ZoI" ID rule? Based on forumside RP and factions diplomacy of course.
Easier acces to SRP stuff like hijacked ships or equipment, or unusual tech combos.

I would share them with you, but we want the community to work from a fresh slate, not be pigeonholed onto one train of thought. We thought up the obvious ones already. We want outside the box ideas.
