You could always roleplay with LSF ID, but could be Nomad.
Oh yes, ID forbids you from such actions...
Well, I feel I will have problems from that, but ID system is THE MOST DAMN DUMB SYSTEM EVER. I know it has rules how to run faction, roleplay the faction and all, but we have forum laws of the houses. Especially when all players are OBLIGED to join forums, since there are certain house laws (some of which players are not even aware, if they didn't visit forums). Especially, when you are a pirate and police, law enforceers or mere traders shouldn't just know you are such, they should only know about your IFF, nothing else.
If we wanted, for example, to prevent metagaming,we should not make it roleplay item in the first place.
There are ZOI limitations, which are sometimes smart, but sometimes they are plainly stupid. Or some IDs, like Pirate ID, you are damn pirate, you shouldn't need to follow ANY rules! Especially when you have like handful of places you can land though. Pirates should be able to initiate combat against Police in some scenarios, not vice versa. Imagine that: "Hello, I demand you to pay a tax here, Police." "Sure, wait a second, I'll inform my lads through PM to log on their Lol enforcement characters". Really?)
What's the point of ID nowadays? We have house laws that kinda seem to override ID, which is ID violation (like Rheinland Military was called by KNF, which was OK roleplay-wise and lorewise (hello? They are effing ALLIES), but was violation of the rules.
So let me see if i get it now.
Before was only RPed via IFF and now it can be via ID? Or simply now people don't care if its ooRP to RP by scanning the other players ID?

I just pointed out that making ID an inRP item lead to the metagaming and limitations. RP, as it was pointed out many times and even brutally enforced by the administration, contrary to the belief, cannot override the ID in ANY case, what leads to absurd situations where well-played and logical roleplay is overriden by cold ruleset inside ID. If you remember Nebula Complex (yes, I was defender of Nebulae inRP, but ooRP I think bringing allies to Kusari was a great idea) and that mass-kicking the RM of the Kusari, DESPITE the fact their RP is FLAWLESS and goes on for like a year for now, you know what am I talking about. Oh come on, they are ALLIES by lore!
In short - roleplay should override ID in some cases, not the opposite, because it makes all the roleplay, worked so hard by two MAJOR, OFFICIAL factions senseless and useless.
So, I have, e.g., LSF ID, but I roleplay the spy. According to the RP, I could do that, but any assault onto LN may lead to sanctions, because it is violation of my ID. Or other situation. I fly Freelancer IFF, but I have Pirate ID. As far as I am far away from ANY npc patrol shooting at me, Trader/Police/Military/Inteligence should NOT know I am unlawful until I demand something from them, if they haven't met me before. Well, perhaps the latter one, but the rest? I doubt it.
Let's call it by the name: it's METAGAMING for my opinion. ID should not be basis for the other players' roleplay, but for the player wielding it.
