After just having another such case, I ask in frustration: Is it possible to give OFFICIAL POLICE FACTIONS unique ID with the possibility to lock docking with gates and stations so that criminals don't dock on a police base while being shot by police. I know there is FR5 and reporting but that takes time and kills RP immersion of the moment. And before you say it can be abused, official factions can have strict rules about it so a trollish player would be both sanctioned and kicked out of the faction so he couldn't do it again. The main problem is is that possible to code in FLHook?

Opinions?
It can be coded, it might be complicated but I wouldn't say it's impossible. This is a matter for the admins and not the devs though, so pray they'll give you some input here.
I like the idea cause when a criminal use police trade lanes and police jump gates and dock on lawful bases in front of them, it don't look nice

You can ignore reality but you can not ignore consequences of ignoring reality
I think its impossible to stop a player docking everywhere, as docking on in trade lanes and gates is hardcoded into the game. So you can't stop them doing that, except for one way which also makes sense inRP too.
You could stop them from docking on lawful bases:
Give the police power to auto rephack an offending player to hostile with the house police npc faction. So they will be hostile in that house with every lawful faction, that way they can no longer dock on lawful npc bases.
It won't stop them using gates, but it will stop them docking to escape.
This is easy to implement because npc base docking is rep based, if you control their rep then you can control where they dock.
The only problem here is abuse of said power by a member of police faction, as rep hacking is an admin power
I understand your concerns Jax but like I said even those who would abuse it could do it once and then they're out, as for the other player qq-ing, you can't break the laws, fight the police, and then whine when faced with consequenses of your actions, that's just common sense inrl and in Disco.

I've waited a very long time for the opportunity to use this vid :DDD
At any rate this is an awful idea. Anything that would allow a player to permanently affect another player like this will not end well.
I forgot to mention that the base lockdown would be restricted to like 5 or 10 minutes, just enough for the police to make the offender either pay a fine or arrest/destroy him...
