Ship History
DEC 17122012’s history carries no distinction within the various Freelancer, Liberty Lawful or Liberty Unlawful communities. The ship was utilized in the manner of pursuing and disabling the cruise engines of fleeing ships, although on rare occasions it took jobs as an escort ship, even though it was more often than not used to scout the Trade Lanes ahead of the escorted convoys that hired it. The Liberty Police and Liberty Navy organizations both hired the ship's services on frequent occasions, and it often accompanied them on routine patrols at first and later on helping with sting operations, although this was more to ensure that the fleeing ships were unable to escape by disrupting their cruise engines, using DEC 17122012's superior speed and agility to catch up to them before they could flee.
During the recent Rhineland-Liberty war, DEC 17122012's pilot became a more frequent ally of the Liberty Police and Navy, often accompanying them in the outskirts of the Texas system to intercept any Rheinland ships attempting to pierce the blockade. However, it was on one of these missions that the vessel took heavy damage after a Rheinland Military fighter squadron ambushed the Liberty Navy patrol which DEC 17122012 escorted. Due to the rather massive use of missile barrages by the Rheinland attackers, the Liberty patrol suffered heavy losses. DEC 17122012 sustained heavy damage from both a C242 “Cannonball” Missile as well as a O-EMP-01 “Paralyzer” EMP Missile, which, while individually would have only caused medium damage to the ship, managed to cause enormous damage as the combination of EMP pulses and kinetic impact tore both the ship's hull and electronics to pieces. Luckily, DEC 17122012's pilot had invested in a rather heavy armor upgrade, which saved the ship from complete destruction; it amazingly managed to escape from the battle and was towed by a passing LPI patrol to the Battleship Mississippi for debriefing. With the ship heavily damaged and the pilot's lack of funds, as well as the ever-growing queue of damaged Navy and Police ships, it turned out to be impossible to carry out repairs on the Battleship itself; thus, it was transported by a Bison transport to the surface of Planet Denver, where the pilot has been repairing the vessel over the past year or so.

Ship History
Vessel ALC 061012 has several recorded instances of encounters that it had with pirates along the lanes of the California and Colorado systems; on several instances due to the prior combat experience of the pilot, the vessel has been able to defend itself adequately either until back up arrived or it was somehow able to destroy its attackers; there have been more than one case in which ALC 061012's pilot managed to completely destroy vessels of bomber class or under.
Usually hired by the "big three" Libertonian megacorporations, it often transport VIPs or high-risk materials; as part of this kind of contracts, it has also picked up work with the administrators of Willard Research Station and Leduc station. This work often involves on-demand service, usually delivering sensitive or critical commodities within a short time frame. Proving to be a lucrative and stable source of revenue, the Freelancer has forgone any other contracts and now runs this sort of job exclusively. Still in active service to this day, the vessel has remained in its current employment for a little over four years. There have been no reported security breaches attempted by the pilot or ship as it solidified its reputation and its reliability relative to its employers.
