The Child Empress - Biography

Rumors

The Child Empress, also sometimes referred to as "Amaterasu's Light", was first heard of back around 801 A.S. when rumors about a seven year old girl hidden safely by the Golden Chrysanthemums in Kusari came up. Apparently the Golden Chrysanthemums believed that one day this girl would lead Kusari into an eternal age of peace, equality and prosperity under her matriarchic rule with them as her selfless and devoted guardians.

A few years ago the number of rumors and stories around and in Kusarian space about her increased. People began to tell stories about a group of Chrysanthemums who blew up one of the many Samura complexes on Planet Kyushu back in 798 A.S. and shortly after the explosion witnessed a supposedly four year old girl magically walk through and out of the flaming inferno they caused - unharmed, unafraid and lacking of any memories about herself. They believed it had to be a sign of Amaterasu herself, took the nameless girl with them and began to educate her to prepare her for the time she would become the empress of Kusari, keeping her hidden from any outsider's eye.

A few others, mostly freelancers and smugglers, who had dealt with the Chrysanthemums claimed to have catched a glimpse of an extraordinarly graceful and breathtaking woman heavily guarded by combat-ready Chrysanthemums if they happened to visit their installations. They assumed it might in fact be the empress they have heard the rumors about in the past. There never has been any solid proof of such person's existence - up until recently in 822 A.S.

The Child Empress

The Child Empress grew to popularity among her own based on the Chrysanthemum's wide-spread belief in the prophecy about a girl chosen by the goddess Amaterasu herself who will lead them and Kusari into the light.

She is 28 years old, a spiritual and political leading figure of the Golden Chrysanthemums and supposed to rule Kusari one day as its god-chosen matriarch. Amaterasu's Light is advised by the leaders of the different sisterhoods and groups within the Golden Chrysanthemums, but also acts as a well of wisdom for those who seek her out for advice in return. At some unknown point in her childhood the Empress was given a personal name by the Chrysanthemums who took care of her - "Kimiko Takamitsu". It could be vaguely translated into: noble or empress child from the high sunlight.

The Empress was educated for the purpose of leading Kusari. This education included a multitude of things. She speaks every language - except Gallic - almost fluently. The future leader of a whole nation was taught and updated about the political structures and situations across Sirius and, of course, especially in Kusari as best as possible during her whole life. She was mentored by experienced woman in diplomacy matters, Kusarian and foreign etiquette and the art of seduction.

The charismatic woman can play diverse traditional Kusarian instruments such as the Koto (a Kusarian equivalent to the harp) and the Shamisen or Biwa (different versions of a Kusarian lute) and she also sings Kusarian folk music in a captivating, mesmerizing fashion. As expected from a woman inspired by Yuyu Matsuda's teachings the Empress is also versed in the arts of poetry, writing and conversation. Additionally, she received lessons in traditional Kusarian martial arts and dances.

People who met her in person describe her as beautiful and graceful in her appearance, behaviour and as a most pleasant diplomatic partner if you happen to be on the good side of her. Yet as enchanting as this woman might be they also advise staying cautious as she is just as addicted to Cardamine and follows the same extreme unorthodox beliefs as any other Chrysanthemum - if not even more so. She will strive relentlessly to ascend the throne to fulfill her prophesied purpose as the one who will herald the start of a new and perfect age for Kusari.
