Thallia eyed her console suspiciously. Vierwolfe... not a familiar starport and certainly out of the way of regular traffic. She sighs, resigning herself to the task at hand. I should really get used to the ominous vibe. The starport came into view within a few moments; dimly lit but showing signs of being well maintained. It was apparent no thought had gone into its aesthetics, coming across as a functionally-focused structure. She could spot a couple of security systems monitoring the 'Aceso' warily.
:: Thallia, we are on approach to Vierwolfe Starport. I'll handle the landing procedure, you have --- business to attend to ::
"Thank you Lexi. You know what to do if things go south - Aurora."
:: Evergreen ::
Picking herself up from her flightseat, she crawls her way through the cramped, dark maintenance shafts that served as corridors on the 'Aceso', there being no room for the usual spacious walkways. Reaching the cargobay she slipped into her usual smart attire for such occassions: an unmarked military-esque suit. She carefully slid her knife into the inside-sleeve pocket. No nasty surprises... not again. As the cargo bay doors opened, her eyes burned from the sudden influx of light blinding her momentarily. She walked out, spotting a man approaching as her vision adjusted.
"Gurtern Tar.... no, ur... Guten Tag." She stretches out a hand to greet him, putting on her favourite 'friendly' face.
A man in the officer's coat with lot of Rheinlandic different award medals and strict plump face approached to the Freelancer docked gunboat vessel. Looked around and waved to someone. The spaceport itself looked different than others. Thallia couldn't see any civilian vessels, only one ship could pay her attention: it was modificated sabre with odd symbols. The officer he turned with long satisfied smille to Thallia:
- "Guten Tag frau. Not always we hear' rheinlandic greeting in here from the tourists. I guess nothing bad will not happen if I will ask frau her namen?"
"That's an interesting use of a double negative, but I'll take the risk. Thallia Thorn. May I ask what yours is in return?"
She looked discerning over the man in front of her. The smile she had not expected, though she found it welcoming. Her attention turned to the Sabre, not even hiding her interest in it. Those markings... that's something new. Interesting too, I hope Lexi gets some kind of image of that. Her attention turned back to the officer, noting the numerous medals on his uniform.
"I, ur, hope I haven't got into too much trouble, looks like they've sent their best," giving a quick grin. "May I, urm, help you at all?"
The officer looked around the Thallia's ship again, turned to his people and pointed on the ship. Rheinland Soldiers with some robots get all over the vessel, magnetic cargo-tractors closed the ship into the right. While soldiers were doing something with Thallia vessel's hull, officer turned his voice on nice tone and smily answered to Thallia:
- "Mmmm...? Hauptman Kurt Schneider of the Rheinwehr... But for frau of your kind, I can be just - Kurt. Don't mind my people, they will repair your vessel - for free... Ja. Und, the stuff our agent transefered to you? Is it inside?"
Thrallia could notice an odd man coming closer to the modificated Sabre. He didn't has Military uniform and wasn't looking like a Rheinlander at all. He took a sigar and started slowly smoking it, like that mystery man was waiting for someone.
- "Halp?... Ja. I guess... I know who could you halp to"
The officer waved to the myster man who stayed near the Modificated Sabre. The mystery one more less than in a minute was near Thallia. An 35-40 aged man with long beard and short pigtail with hispanic accent gently introduced himself:
- "Bueno` Diez mia Senora. Merto Bertinelli... of la' Brallia Security Force, if you ever hear of `lem."
Thallia spins around to point towards the bay, proceeding to press a few buttons on a miniture console on her flight glove. A bay door hisses as it rotates on its hinges, lowering a ramp down to the ground revealing a modestly sized cargo hold with two crates inside.
"It is inside the cargo bay, yes. Even, ur, packaged it up for you. It, ur, should be an easy job unloading it, and unmissable as they're the only thing in the hold. Just, ur... tell them to be careful please Herr Kurt. It's recently been modified with some qutie expensive material... I'm a little precious as it's still got that 'new hull shine.'"
She turns to look at Bertinelli, running her eyes across him discerningly as if putting a puzzle together with her gaze. Raising her eyebrow she bows her head towards him, curving her lips into a warm smile.
"Be...beona Diez." She cringed, regretting she had attempted the language. "...ur, apologies Senor Bertinelli. I make it a, ur, point of principle to at least try however un...uncomfortable it may sound. The, urm... Brallia Security force? I'm sorry, I cannot say I have heard of them. Would you indulge me in, ur, explaining to me who they, and you, are?"
Bertinelli impressed and didn't lost and jumped back into the conversation:
- "Your ship looks like the Border type one? Seems like you are rare guest within the Omegas. But well Senorita, Omegas are dangerous enough. Brallia Security Force - is that how our organization sounds, and I'm one of them as well. We are Brallians, protecting planet Brallia and havin' some fun with Communists. But well, let's not talk about my job, as I'm on the vacation. Si? I guess you can help me, I can't contact my ex-partner. She actually returned to the Omicrons and entered to The Order two years ago... I need someone to get over Omicrons and find her. Depends also on what way you was going...""
Soldiers and Robots took the stuff from the ship and quickly disappeared from the deck. Thallia could notice odd flashed light on her vessel and the officer took her attention:
- "Frau Torn... We are pleased that you halped us, National bank of the Rheinland will transfer you some cash later..." - He looked around the skies and continued: "Storm will hit us soon. Be aware, Barlin is cold planet..." - He turned to Bertinelli and bowed to him: "Herr Bertinelli..."
The officer slowly left Thallia and Bertinelli alone on the deck, skies were getting more darker and the and the wind was hitting stronger. Something flashed on Thallia's ship again, on this time she could notice it was blue-purple light.
New Berlin - Rheinland - Liss was truly mad, because nothing was going as planned. However she shruged it off and quickly departed from Atka in Sigma-17 system, heading back to New Berlin.
Liss isn't sure what does he want from her right now. He left her alone few months ago in Theta and never contacted her again. Her Lich finaly found its way to the port where Liss could notice another Lich, Montante Gunboat and two strange people. Few seconds later Liss jumped out of her fighter and quickly stormed to Maerto, slapping him roughly.
"What did you think? You left me alone in the BAR with Corsairs, Hunters and you promised, you PROMISED to meet me soon."
Liss is angry, but then turns to unknow female, smilling kindly
"Hello, Hi, Greetings, Guten whatever and Buenos Dias, senorita. I am sorry, I just needed to release some anger on him!!."
Thallia eyed the blue-purple light with a suspicious eye, frowning slightly. An uninvited guest... She brought her hand up to her collar, pushing the fabric towards her mouth so that the microphone would activate. Speaking softly, resigning herself to knowing she could not avoid those present knowing what she was doing.
"Lexi... you, ur, probably don't detect anything but listen carefully. Please may you lock down Section A2, the Clinic, your nexus and Engineering; sealing all access shafts. Leave the re...rest of the ship open, and if you do detect anything, please don't melt it like you did the last intruder. As tempted as you'll be, it's a bad time to run experiments of that sort."
:: If only I could sigh to show my disappointment. ::
"Thank you Lexi."With an exacerbated sigh, Thallia turned to look at the newcomer."He...hello! My my Mr.Bartelli. It, ur, seems you've raised a woman's wrath. Go...good luck."She gave a nod to Bartellia as she chuckled a little. Thallia reaches her hand out to the unknown female. "I'm Dr...Dr Thorn. May I ask who you are?"
Bertinelli was attentivelly watching how Liss was landing her Lich. After she quickly jumped out from the vessel he smilled at her, but his smile quickly wiped off when he saw anger on her face. He tried to calm her down:
- "Wai-..! Wai...! Liss! I! I...! Liss please... Listen... I.. I tried... But... But Liss please Understand!..."
When girls started their conversation within themselves, Maerto moved on one meter closer to Thallia's gunboat. He was like searching for something after he turned and look at his Lich, he noticed the storm was moving just on them.
- "Girls! Storm! It's already on the next deck! We must hide somewhere... Like! NOW!......"
Walking slowly towards the gunboat, Thallia mutters something into her collar. Promptly the cargo gangway lowers once more, inviting them in.
"May I re...recommend the Aceso? Safes as houses, so to, ur, speak, and we may even help ourselves to some refreshment if needed."and perhaps find out what that strange light was.
She slowly rubbed her hands together as she turned round to guage the others approval of the suggestion, walking backwards towards the vessel slowly.
