"Prowler" is a moniker for the LSF's "Advanced Electronic Warfare Acquisition" program initiated in late 820 A.S., which strived to create a suitable electronic warfare platform from existing Libertonian assets. After deliberation amongst top LSF officials, the LZF-9805 Liberator chassis was selected for use in the program. As of mid-821 A.S., only one prototype, dubbed E/LZF-9805P or simply "Prowler", has been cleared for general reconnaissance and intelligence gathering operations after receiving extensive armor upgrades and modifications. Data is being gathered from the platform's combat and reconnaissance operations to further improve the vessel, and LSF officials plan on this phase to take up much of the next year.

Mission Statement: The primary mission of the Prowler program is to secure an electronic warfare platform design that can be easily mass-produced, either by conventional manufacturing or through the refitting of existing craft.

Armament: The only known Prowler vessel in service is equipped with a classified LSF electronic warfare suite alongside a standard XV-76 Communications Interception Pod in place of it's countermeasure slot. For point defense, it is armed with two Ageira CP-E Mark 2 Adv. Debilitators alongside two Mark 5 Mod 0 "Lavablade" particle cannons. For standard disruption, harassment, and interception duty, it totes a single Train cruise disruptor launcher. For harassing larger targets, it carries a nuclear mine dispenser, used sparingly as a mis-detonation can result in catastrophic decompression.

Operational History: The LSF has not yet declassified any reports on any of Prowler's operations.

Design: The Prowler is similar to the regular Liberator in terms of speed and combat performance, but has two hardwired electronic warfare pods in exchange for a countermeasure. No major external or cosmetic modifications have been made, although extra cargo space has been reserved for storing external power cells for use by both electronic warfare pods in absence of a more powerful reactor.
