"Here is David Brady! We are interrupting the Business&Markets programme to bring you breaking news about very surprising major political change which happened less than hour ago in Rheinland Bundestag. Large group which consisted of more than three-quarters of all representatives interrupted the announced schedule and iniciated a vote of no confidence against chancellor Maxmillian Schulte. Situation which never happened before in history of this house resulted in removal of Schulte from his position after 85 percent of all representatives voted against him.

We´re switching now to Johanna Kohl, our political reporter on planet New Berlin, which is in the Bundestag at the moment with latest information about what is going on there. Hello Johanna, do you know what is behind this sudden change and why Schulte lost trust of so many Bundestag representatives?"

"Hello David! There are rumours in backstage that Schulte lost trust of corporations which have more than cordial relations with many representatives and they decided to remove him. However there is also big group of representatives which cooperate with them because they think that Rheinland needs someone new in charge for times of peace. Rumours are that there is pressure to accept ceasefire, which was offered by Liberty after information about collapsing wormhole in Hudson system was revealed. Thus this change might be the first step to end the long and exhausting war and save Rheinland´s economy which have serious problems due to this war."

"That´s very interesting, Johanna. What will happen now? And is it known already who will replace Schulte?"

"Sure, David. Rheinland laws has for very long time - origin goes back in history even to ancient Sol - system of constructive vote of no confidence - so called konstruktives Misstrauensvotum. This means that Bundestag can finish expression of lack of confidence in chancellor only by electing a successor with the majority of its members. The name I heard here the most is Luisa Neumann, current Federal Minister of Industry and Trade which is known to have very good relations with majority of Rheinland corporations. But it is still not clear if there will be any other candidate or not, some want to support for example Paul Karnoff, former judge of Constitutional Court, or Laura Heinkel, current Federal Minister of Justice. Both have quite strong political position.

Anyway, situation is little unclear here right now, there are obviously intensive negotiations in backstage. We will try to find out more, but it´s certain that we should know name of new chancellor soon anyway."

"Thank you, Johanna, we will stay in touch with you. For now, we´re returning to Business&Markets programme..."

"Here is David Brady interrupting scheduled programme again with breaking news from Rheinland where new chancellor was elected just few minutes ago. As we informed you earlier, former chancellor Maxmillian Schulte lost his position after 85 percent of all Bundestag representatives voted against him in surprisingly iniciated vote of no confidence.

We´re switching again to Johanna Kohl, our political reporter on planet New Berlin, which is still in the Bundestag and watched election of new chancellor. Johanna, tell us who is new Rheinland chancellor!"

"Hello again David! Name of the new Rheinland chancellor is Luisa Neumann. Victory of woman which so far was in position of Federal Minister of Industry and Trade isn´t really surprise for representatives here in the Bundestag, because simply said, the favourite won.

However, the victory was not as clear as some had expected because Neumann gained around 57 percent of votes despite she had only one - and quite weak - opponent in Volker Himmel, former Federal Minister of the Interior, which gained 14 percent of votes. Even Neumann herself looked quite tensely during the election, obviously unsure about the result..."

"If we look closer at the numbers, obviously almost one third of all representatives didn´t vote and some of them were seen obviously boycotting the election because they left the plenary hall before it started. This could mean that former chancellor Schulte still have support of some minor part of the Bundestag. "

"It sounds like that despite there was widely shared desire for change, there was not unity about who should lead this change. Anyway, what will happen next?"

"New chancellor Neumann briefly thanked here and right now there are intensive preparations for inauguration where she should give a speech, however we were not informed so far when the inauguration will be."

"Thank you, Johanna. Our viewers will of course have opportunity to watch the inauguration and speech of new Rheinland chancellor. But for now, we´re returning to Panorama programme..."

----- Colony News Service | Channel: News24/7 | Now Playing: Impact Special -----

"Hello everyone! I´m Dwayne Wilson and you are watching special broadcast of Impact which will be focused on recent political change in Rheinland. Here with me is renowned Libertonian expert Jim Rainman from Department of Political Science of Stanford University which is focused on current Rheinland politics. Hello Mr. Wilson!

"Hello, I´m glad I can be here today."

"First, lets sum up what happened so far. Chancellor Maxmillian Schulte was removed from his position after 85 percent of all representatives in Bundestag interrupted the announced schedule and iniciated a vote of no confidence against him. Something what never happened in Rheinland history before. Mr. Rainman, can you tell us what you think about this and what happened inside Bundestag?"

"Well, according to my sources inside Rheinland politics, it seems that Schulte lost trust of corporations. It is known that his relations with top management of Kruger Minerals changed into more than cold in last months, but recently he also lost support of boards of another three powerful corporations - Daumann Heavy Construction, ALG Waste Disposal and Republican Shipping. And that means a lot, because in Rheinland politics, corporations have a big influence because they provide money for campaigns for those which will support them later if they reach seat in Bundestag.

But back to Schulte. In the end he had steady and strong support only from representatives from military circles, as he always had close ties with high ranking officers and there was always pressure from him to keep military well funded, at least to the extent possible. But that wasn´t enough when majority of corporations wanted to remove him."

"But military always had very strong position in Rheinland and its politics. Does recent events mean that this changed?"

"Yes, that´s correct. Position of military weakened in last year for obvious reason which is losing war with Liberty, which even ended in unprecedented move of blowing up jump gates which were connecting Hamburg with Hudson and Bering systems. Furthermore the war which is lost brought Rheinland´s economy into serious problems. Right now, its vitally dependent on money from corporations - taxes and other payments. For example government was given chance to pay for part of the ships from Daumann with delay, not to mention that price is more than friendly. Same goes for example for ALG and disposal of waste from law enforcement´s stations. All this logically led to strengthened position of corporations. And as far as I know, change of chancellor which will end the war is supported even by part of law enforcement, for example high ranking police officers are also calling for change because police forces are constantly underfunded due to financial problems of government. Especially when Schulte made pressure to keep military funded well, then there was only small sum left for police."

"What can you tell us about new chancellor - Luisa Neumann?"

"Basic facts are that she was born on planet New Berlin 58 years ago into quite wealthy family with good connections to local politics. This allowed her to climb to top level of federal politics and after she made it to position of Federal Minister of Industry and Trade, she established very good relations with majority of Rheinland corporations boards. For example she strongly lobbied for protectionist change of laws which gave Kruger and Daumann corporations complete control over almost all mining fields in Rheinland space and also allowed only ore mined by them to be exported to Liberty. Corporations are now supporting her, but very likely they expect protection of their interests on governmental level in exchange. Especially during possible restore of trade with Liberty."

"What changes can we expect with Neumann as Rheinland chancellor?"

"That´s very good question. As was said already, the main motive behind the change of chancellor is need for change. And Neumann is exact opposite of Schulte. His power came from military and he was focused on military strength, her power comes from corporations and she is focused on economy. After all, she was in position of Federal Minister of Industry and Trade so far.

It is almost sure that her first move will be acceptance of ceasefire offered by Liberty, followed very likely by negotiations with this house about opening borders for trade. As you maybe know, Rheinland was so desperate that they even allowed limited export of Rheinland-made goods to Liberty before. Now they will very likely try to achieve that Rheinland corporations will be allowed to trade in Liberty again. Actually this goal will be very likely shared by corporations from both sides. Although majority of Liberty corporations are allowed to trade in Rheinland already, their rights are still restricted."

"How about foreign policy?"

"We can´t expect any major foreign policy changes at the moment. Rheinland needs to stabilize its economy, thus the new chancellor will very likely continue to keep friendly relations with Kusari and neutral with Bretonia."

"What changes can be expected in national military strategy after possible end of war with Liberty?"

"As I said, Rheinland needs to stabilize its economy, thus we can expect cuts in expenses on military. Forces which will be available from war front will be very likely deployed to fight again domestic enemies, mainly Red Hessians, and also Corsairs, which are causing bigger and bigger problems recently in Omega-7 and Frankfurt systems. In short, Rheinland military strategy will very likely change from offensive to defensive, trying to use them as effectively as possible to keep expenses low and avoid any major investments into them until economy will be restored to better condition."

"Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us, Mr. Rainman. The special broadcast of Impact which was focused on consequences of change of Rheinland chancellor is over, our guest was Jim Rainman from Department of Political Science of Stanford University, expert in Rheinland politics. Thank you for watching and see you tomorrow!"

----- CNS | Channel: News24/7 | Now Playing: Live - Inauguration speech of new Rheinland chancellor -----

*Camera focuses on the podium in the grand hall of the Bundestag building. New chancellor Luisa Neumann slowly walks to the podium with serious face while representatives are standing and clapping to welcome her. Then she arrives to lectern, looks around and starts with speech*

Honourable Members of the Bundestag, distinguished guests and fellow citizens of the Bundesrepublik Rheinland!

I stand hier after I was given the trust to lead Rheinland in a time period which may be called one of the toughest times in our history. But I´m greateful and I appreciate it, although there are difficult challenges in front of me as well as the whole Rheinland nation.

Vaterland is facing serious problems and we know it. But what is worse, our enemies know it as well. For this reason, we must stand together to ensure we will be able to solve the problems and stay strong. There are many enemies waiting for our weakness, ready to torn Rheinland apart, spreading chaos and destruction. These enemies are hiding outside of our borders in deep Omegas and Omicrons, but some of them are also hiding within, ready to stab us in the back once we start looking elsewhere. They use nice words and promises, but their real goal is to establish reign of tyranny and terror in which they could abuse power and resources for their personal gains.

Dear Rheinlanders! Don´t listen to poisonous voices which are trying to incite workers against their employers, farmers against land owners or citizens against soldiers and police officers which are hier to protect all law abiding people. There are enemies which want to divide us to be able to knock Rheinland on its knees easier. We must fight to keep Rheinland strong, doesn´t matter if with guns, with work or with simple support of those who try get our house back on its feet. All effort counts! Every simple man or woman can support Vaterland, for example by preferring Rheinland-made goods over imports. The more of it you buy, the faster our weakened economy will recover!

Everybody must do his best in these hard times. I promise I will as well as whole government. But I ask one thing from every citizen - to stand together and support Vaterland in these times by any way you can. Now, more than ever, we must work together and cooperate as one nation, and one people!

I know very well that some citizen are worried about the future. It is no secret that Rheinland needs protection in many ways. Our borders need protection from pirates, barbarian raiders or even alien threat. From all of those which are trying to destroy the laboriously built assets which serve our republik and its citizens, as well as steal our resources and kidnap or kill our people and. But fear not, my fellow citizens! We have military and police to protect you.

It is also our economy what needs protection. Mainly from some foreign pests which just want to exploit our current problems, trying to replace true Rheinland goods with some cheap substitutes, causing troubles for Rheinland companies and unemployment of Rheinlad people. But fear not, my fellow citizens! We have our corporations which will always offer you jobs for fair wage and protect you from exploitation by evil foreign gold-diggers. Rheinland’s prosperity rest upon the broad shoulders of a common men and women, but the way is always easier when our corporations lead it, providing jobs to Rheinlanders and power to our economy.

Speaking of protection, I think all of you know that Rheinland must face a new threat. Threat we never faced before in form of failing wormohle in Hudson system, which may turn into supernova explosion and not only completely destroy Hudson, filling it with deadly dark matter cloud, but also even endanger in similar way Hamburg system and inhabitants of its eponymous planet. Threat so dangerous that it forced even imperialistic house of Liberty to stop their aggresive expansion and rather offer us a ceasefire because cooperation of two houses is needed to solve this problem. Their leaders realized, that their people will judge them on what they can build, not what they let destroy.

First, I want to assure all Rheinland citizens that whole matter is dealt with extensively and best Rheinland experts were gathered into special team which is cooperating with Ageira specialists. They confirmed this is without a doubt very serious problem with possibly devastating consequencies.

But now to the offer of ceasefire. Probably the most anticipated topic of my speech. After long discussions and thinking, it was decided that Rheinland will accept this offer. This war has been raging for long and despite brave resolve of thousands of soldiers, we suffered heavy losses. However, in the end, it´s not the enemy who will force us to stop the fight and everybody should keep in mind that this is not a surrender in any way! Our brave men and women in uniform, tempered by the flames of battles are still unmatched in skill and courage. Rheinlanders can keep standing with their heads held high becase we will not bow to anyone. Not now, not ever!

*Many representatives start to clap intensively and stand up, some nod noticeably few times. It takes some time before the applause fade away*

We realize that there are citizens who expect and want a continuation of the war. But at present, the right thing for the Bundesrepublik Rheinland is to take advantage of this opportunity of reaching a lengthy cease-fire. Government has the responsibility – and it is the highest responsibility – to take the right steps to ensure security of all citizens, especially of inhabitants and workers in Hamburg system. That is what it have done in past and it is what it will continue to do. What we do is necessary to ensure that millions of people - men, women, and children - on the surface of planet Hamburg will stay safe. What we do is also necessary to ensure that we will not lose important space crossroad forever.

Rheinlanders have always understood that when times change, so must we. End of this long war will mark new era of Rheinland. But this new era will require new responses to new challenges from all of us. Vaterland must keep the way to stay strong enough to fully control its destiny.

We must keep reminding ourselves that greatness is never a given to any nation. It must be earned. Our journey has never been one of short-cuts or settling for less. It has not been the path for the faint-hearted - for those who prefer leisure over work, or seek only the pleasures of riches and fame. Rather, it has been the risk-takers, the doers, the makers of things - some celebrated but more often men and women obscure in their labor, who have carried us up the long, rugged path towards prosperity. Our capacity remains undiminished, we just have to continue working.

With hope and virtue, we must endure any storm which may come. Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking Rheinland. It´s time to lay a new foundation for growth from our ores and alloys. This generation of Rheinlanders has been tested by crises that steeled our resolve and proved our resilience. A decade of war is now ending. An economic recovery has begun. You and I, as citizens, have the power to set Vaterland´s course. Now everything depends on us. We all must work hard to get Rheinland back where it should be - proudly standing between all other houses. Fellow Rheinlanders, I believe we will!

*Majority of representatives stand up and clap enthusiastically while Neumann looks around triumphantly and smiles a little. Then she steps down from the podium and leaves the grand hall*
