The IMG has managed to secure support, funding and necessary contracts to put operation New Life - a decive strike against the Outcasts - into action. A rough layout of what is planned can be seen in the following message that is quoted from a communication with Cryer representatives in which the Guild managed to secure the necessary supply of Stabiline:
Quote:The Guild is preparing a push against Outcast operations, especially targetting their economic foundation - Cardamine. Operation "New Life" - up to now a working title - can be roughly outlined as an attack on their supply lines, but also on the consumers of Cardamine by offering them treatment as an exit strategy from dependance on the Outcast's enslaving drug.
The mission could be roughly described like this:
a) Disruption of traffic bound towards Alpha or from Alpha
b) Destruction of seized Cardamine
c) Apprehension of crews (many of which have to some degree have been exposed to the drug itself)
d) Enforcement of medical treatment with Cryer's substitute drug Stabiline on all apprehended individuals (smugglers but also trafficked persons)
e) Rehabilitation and release depending on the level of criminal involvement
The Stabiline/Cryer part of the plan is fixed and details are being arranged at the moment. We assume that it will come at a price, but the mid- and long-term effects would make it an investment into a better future. Construction and enlargement of medical facilities in Tau 37 will be starting soon.
I think that the Crayter Republic can do its part in this operation. Steps a) and b) have been successfully done by CR for decades. Point c) might have been less prominent up to now.
There is aspect e) that the Guild cannot give a solution yet: What to do with those who went through rehabilitation and can be released from the IMG/Cryer medical facilities. We can't keep them there longer than necessary, as the capacities are limited. Neither Falkland nor Siloso are large stations to support many people.
Yuma and in general colonisation projects came to my mind here. A place where one can start a new life, far enough away from Outcasts to avoid complications and I assume the Republic will be in need of people to settle Yuma.
The question is: Would the Republic generally be willing to take part in such a project?

Mr.Henderson,
I'm Michael Richard as representative of Crayter Republic. I want to say thats an opportunity for both the Republic and those victims of cardamine seeking a way to have a better life. Republic will help with the project and Yuma can serve as a second home who wants settle and be far from Outcasts. But we need something in return, especially from Cryer. We have a wild "untameable" jungle at Yuma. Also a kind of bacteria hinders colonisation efforts. I think cryer can find a solution to it. So the answer is, Yes. We are willing to take part in it.
