I will be short and brief because i know you a very busy Kommissar. While messing with some fixes onboard the Solitaire Metropolis communication towers, our technicians by a total chance intercepted an incoming transmission from an unknown source, but we managed to connect some dots and knew it's coming from what it seems to be a hostile vessels nearby. The content was very broken but we concluded that there might be an assault on rhienland space, specially the borders of rhienland including Koeln, Frankfurt and Stuttgart. We have a strong feeling that our installation and other installation within the Stuttgart system are in great possible danger, and therefore, we request dispatch of RFP and RM ships to defend in case the system fall under a major attack. Also we request building at least one level 2 defense platform so we can repel some forces even until some military or polizie ships show up at the area. We are very short in time, since we think that the corsair raid might be very soon so we looking forward for your reply as fast as possible. Have a nice day Kommissar.

The systems you mentioned have proper patrols which are trying to keep Rheinland space safe for all civilians. However without any specific information there is no reason to reinforce these patrols, especially in such massive scale. After all, what you caught might be decoy of an enemy and after forces will be moved somewhere, they will attack somewhere else where reinforcements would be unavailable at that moment. But rest assured that in case that any hostile incursion would happen, there are most of the time backup forces ready to react when there is call for help in the housewide emergency channel.
However, we understand your concerns about safety of your base and we agree that construction of weapon platform could provide additional time for lawful forces to get there in case of an attack, as well as directly repel minor hostile forces. For this reason, construction of one weapon platform is approved under these conditions:
First, use of so called "automatic defense mode three" which would cause platform opening fire at all unregistered ships is not allowed.
Second, placing any ships which are not added in Rheinland criminal database or declared criminals on black list of the defense system is not allowed as well.
Third, no weapon platform can be placed further than four kilometers from your base.
In case you would consider one weapon platform as insufficient safety measure, increase of their number can be discussed in future if you will provide convincing reasons.

Thank you very much for understanding the gravity of the situation here. We appreciate it, and the members of the board are happy and worried also at the same time, because 1 defense array will help indeed but might not be sufficient. We have the out-most respect for our Federal Polizie and Military and we know deep at our hearts that they will defend us, the citizens of rheinland at all times. Accordingly, we will put one defense array only in space, within less than two kilometers from the Solitaire Metropolis main depots. Hopefully this will help us feel more secured, at least for the moment. I also assure for you that no ships will be placed on the hostile list, and if we want to put one, then we will request from your respected office a permission for that. At the end, I would like to say that i am very happy to know that there are forces always ready to react when big problems happen via the emergency channel.
