Sujet:_________Cooperation Transmission entrée...
Bonjour Mesdames et Messieurs,
It has been a while since we worked together last time but perhaps the time has come for further cooperation, mes amis. As you may or may not know, our main refugee transport route from Champagne to Roussillon goes through Kusari to avoid Gallic forces inside the Kingdom, but the latest stellar shift et our outdated data about the relevant systems warrant revision. That however applies to a lot of our operational area as well et with our limited scouting capabilities the revision may take long.
Et here is where your role would come. Given your knowledge about Kusari in general is also more extended than ours, we would appreciate some help. The Council wishes to ask the Dai 343 Kaigun Kokutai to map the systems of Kyushu, New Tokyo, Hokkaido, Rishiri et any other systems in the area we may not know of, take visual evidence of significant spatial objects et gateways et grant us information about possible passages to Gallia from the Tau Region through Kusari as well as the possible threats we may encounter along these routes. The Council in return is ready to offer economical et logisitcal support to fulfill whatever needs you may have at this moment. Furthermore, The Council also offers to share intel of the same nature we gather in the meanwhile.
Additionally, our ears are wide open to any alternative suggestions. We are eagerly awaiting your answer.
Sincèrement,
Général Pierre LaFlamme Du Conseil
Général en Chef Du Conseil
It has indeed been a while since we have talked, especially since the latest developments in Kusari, both internal and foreign, have kept me quite busy.
I understand your request and I fully understand the need for it. Humanitarian aid is something that we provide quite happily, and I do not see a reason to deny your request - at least none on paper.
I should explain this further, to avoid misconceptions. For the last years now, we have been de facto allies, both against the gallic Crown and the traitorous Republic. Since our restructuring however, especially after our latest push in Kusari, provided me with a few more responsibilities, especially making sure that the resurgent Empire-in-Exile will succeed on a political stage, I would like you to consider an official treaty between our two parties. Two militaries, even two factions can take up arms together - but a state needs to go through the bureaucratic process. I am certain you understand.
I am, of course, not intending to make this a long effort. If you can give me your word that you and the Generalité du Conseil will talk about such a treaty and try to make it happen, I will immediately dispatch my scouts and get you some fresh intel. We might even work out a safe line through our space, and possible escorts through Kusarian space, depending on how the situation will be once the convoys begin flying again.

Formalizing our relations has been among things I though of happening sooner or later, it appears the time has come. I personally am not against the concept of a treaty, however I had similar ideas concerning other neighbors et allies of Le Conseil Gaulois so while I discuss this proposition with the rest of l'Haut Commandement I would like you to describe the diplomatic relations of the Empire with the Crayter Republic et with the Temporarily Autonomous Zoners. I have an idea which may or may not work, it depends on your answer.
Sincèrement,
Général Pierre LaFlamme Du Conseil

You bring up an interesting point. Including those neighbors cannot hurt, especially with the Crayterian Republic clearly being interested in a similar treaty.
You mentioned an idea. If you feel that a comms channel is not secure enough to elaborate on it, I could invite you to the Yamaguchi, where we would be able to discuss further details in private, and away from the front lines.
As for you initial request, I have just given the order for the scouts to collect your intel. Expect a transmission containing the required information soon.

Bonsoir Kaigun Taisho Sakuma,
Your response is quite favorable, Mademoiselle. Thoughts of a formal three-way alliance between the Republic, the Discordians et us have been circling around for a while now, that your relations are also pleasant with them encourages me to offer the realization of this as a four-way alliance, now extended with the Kusari Empire-in-Exile.
If you do not mind however, instead of us meeting you on the Yamaguchi, let me invite you - or an other representative of the Empire should you be unavailable at the time - to a meeting held tomorrow at 17.00 in Conference Room 23, Council Headquarters, Grand Ramier, on Toulouse, Roussillon. The purpose of the meeting would be to discuss this alliance. A delegation will be ready to escort you from the starport to the HQ building in case you accept the invitation.
In the meanwhile you can also inform us in your response about what the Empire is currently in need of et we'll gladly deliver.
Sincèrement,
Général Pierre LaFlamme Du Conseil
Général en Chef Du Conseil
I am very pleased to hear that you are in favor of the proposal, and I do like your Idea as well. I've rescheduled a few duties and will attend your proposed meeting personally.
Right at the moment the Empire needs all the supplies it can get. Arms, weapons, spare parts... But I do have one very special request for you, of which I only want to tell you in person. Trust me, it is important, even crucial, for our cause. As for the "regular" supplies: We do have a few problems getting proper convoys through the Taus, and we need food supplies. I still recall an old Jump Connection between Newcastle and Roussillon - if you could use that to supply the Nagasaki with food and medical supplies, we would be very grateful.
