She was falling. Or was she? In the darkness around her, any sense of direction was difficult to find. She was not breathing - there was nothing to breathe with. Just void. Completely empty, completely silent, completely dark. She tried to focus on changing her position, on looking around, but there was nothing. She tried to extend her hand in front of her eyes, but she couldn't. Deep in her throat, a strange sensation started growing. She rarely ever felt it, but this situation was so strange and eerie that panic felt natural.
She suppressed the sensation and started to reconstruct what happened before. She came into a lab...
See this?...
She laid down on the bed...
See this?...
A medic implanted her a subdermal chip...
See this?...
And she drank the Vergil nodes.
That's right.

She was in a town. It looked like it had been abandoned recently. Oh no... The houses were well-kept but she could not see any people. A little church was towering above the settlement. Wind was howling. She tried turning on her own, but she couldn't. Instead, she directed her gaze to the small path leading out of the town. On the path was a girl. A teenager. She knew her. It was her. Another sensation started growing in her throat. She wanted to cry. She remembered what happened.
The girl walked through the town. She looked around, calling for people. But there was no one there...
See this?...
The girl reached the far end of the town. The cave where the populace of the town mined artifacts....
See this?...
She walked in. She could hear faint voices and a chant inside. Her vision narrowed and she felt dragged into the chamber...
See this?...
The townspeople were inside. All laying down, with their hands in front of them, chanting a song in an unknown language. And at the end of the room, she saw a woman. She had black hair and purple eyes. She held a strange, perfectly round, black crystal orb in her hands.
That's right.

She shook off. The people of the town were rising. Some of them held weapons. Knives, clubs, one had a pitchfork. She had nothing. She didn't remember how she ended up here or how much time had passed. She blinked several times. The woman at the back was gazing at the people with empty eyes. She shouted something.
And then, the madness began.
One of the townspeople started walking towards her slowly. Empty, soulless eyes. He raised his knife. Oh no... She ducked and kicked him in the ankle, while grabbing his knife with her hand. He fell over. She had a weapon now. She glanced towards the woman in the back and only now recognised her. Lunara. She used to be her friend. What the hell happened to her?
She looked over the rest of the chamber. People were fighting. Some blood had already been spilled. A few had died. And she was just watching it? A burning sensation grew in her throat. This one she didn't hold back. This one, she embraced. She started sneaking towards Lunara, weaving between the fighting people. She had no idea what was going on, but she knew she had to stop it.
She reached the woman. Her eyes were still directed at the fighting people...
See this?...
She grabbed the crystall ball and tried to remove it from the grasp of Lunara's hands...
See this?...
She threw the orb against the wall. It shattered and Lunara fell to the ground...
See this?...
She looked into Lunara's eyes. They were back to normal. The people had stopped fighting. But she wasn't herself anymore. She sank the knife in Lunara's throat.
That's right.

She was looking at herself, lying on a hospital bed. She felt her hair flowing around her head. But it was different. It was auburn instead of black. She looked up from her body and she froze.
The Three were there. The Archangels. They were looking at her body on the bed as well. What... They looked real. They had to be. Asha was holding her hands together and saying something, but no sound reached her ears. Varda held her whip Maya down, with her right hand on her heart. Caïssa, with both her hands on an ancient tome.
Asha looked at her and smiled. Her mind filled with hope and happiness.
See this?...
Varda looked at her and smiled. Her mind filled with passion and fire.
See this?...
Caïssa looked at her and smiled. Her mind filled with clarity and understanding.
