I trust you have been well? Judging by your latest piece to this one scared person at the Freeport lately, I'd assume such is the case. It actually reminded me that there are still some things that need to be addressed and I'm sure you know what I'm alluding to. If not, let me elaborate.
While we all are tired from the constant attitude of the Zoners in Delta, who, as if by the collective pity of the entirety of Sirius, managed to reach a stalemate in the entire affair. We intend to restore the status quo and as such, it will be necessary to deliver the one's in positions of command to a third party for a trial. I — and the High Command, for that matter — have little intention of subjecting you to this nonsense, albeit for totally utilitarian reasons, since I doubt we'd have enough competent men to apprehend you.
So instead, let's talk about ways where we can both emerge having gained something. I should probably note that I bear no ill will towards you, quite the contrary, in fact: I believe we'd need more of your kind. The problem here is simple politics, in which we all are mere pawns to be moved around — yes, even I am a chessfigure of someone else somewhere; I'm sure of it. The Freeport is necessary for our grasp on the Omicron Delta system and we cannot extend our influence onto it anymore as long they know that you are still among our ranks.
I remember distinctly what you mentioned in your brilliantly witty interruption of my efforts to deal with the Administrator. What was that again? That we merely provide the ship? Tell you what: You can have it, I don't care. I can help you remove all safety measures the Core has in place in case of defection and provide you with a crew consisting of those who would otherwise be trialled in this farce. You'd lose nothing in this and would be more free than ever to do whatever it is that brings you the most exhilaration.
The end goal is to make them believe that we distance ourselves from you, as pitiful as that is, even if only for a limited amount of time until the status quo has been restored and an agreement or treaty has been signed. I offered a possible course of action. Let's see if we can reach an agreement here.
