Dear Mr Hamann,

Let me start by thanking you and your staff for your hospitality; and especially for allowing me to dock on Solitaire with such short notice. The no-fire treaty that you have in place around your station protected me from a group of pirates, while on my way here from Planet Stuttgart. Unfortunately, my comms channel was damaged in the sortie, so I must make due in contacting you using a more archaic method. The ship is just now being repaired in your hold.

While finalizing a transport contract with Ageira to Planet Stuttgart, I became privy to the knowledge that the great Mark Hamann is always looking for good freight pilots. I came to your base of operations to see if you were interested in forming a freight contract, either for incoming or outgoing materials. I readily travel to any of the four major Syrius houses and bordering systems. Currently, my Heron is limited to a freight capacity of 2950 units, but I plan to upgrade to a large train in a short time.

Interestingly enough, your bar man just told me an interesting fact. Your uncut diamonds are available for sale, and it just happens that there is a big market back in New York. I will load up my hold and deliver your precious cargo.

It is likely that by the time you receive this letter, I will already back on my way to New York. Please contact me at your convinience, by sending correspondence to my transponder ID 'Balados'. Hopefully, my comms system will be fully operational by then.

It's me Mark Hamann mien herr, and i received your letter earlier this morning, but was extremely busy with some unknown attacks against one of our supplier's vessel. Anyway, everything should be okay by now regarding this matter. I am very glad to know that you are interested in working with the Solitaire Metropolis and it was very pleasing to know that our luxurious diamond bar gained your admiring. I am contacting you using the frequencies that you provided on your letter. I would like to know more about you mien herr Johanssen and please forgive me, because i have to get as much information about the vessel ID and your identity as a pilot. The most important is your level of understanding the rhienland federal polizei set of laws. Our installation just finished a major phase of it's construction so we currently do not accept any construction materials from any kind except reinforced alloys from planer new berlin, but we are waiting for our negotiations with the federal polizei to finish and hopefully we will get our license for building out first cloak factory in stuttgart system. Once this happen, we will start accepting a lot of materials, specially the ones required for building the cloaking devices. At the moment, the installation is offering several kinds of ores which are available for a very good price. We have at the moment, Cobalt ores and Uncut diamonds. Usually we have Gold ore, Copper ore and Silver ore also, but our tanks are empty at the moment, so the installation accept all these last 3 ores for a very good price. Good evening Mr Hamann, may I call you Mark?

I am more than willing to provide any information about myself that you would like to know. I'll provide you with the basics at this time, and any other questions you may have will promptly be answered.

As for the laws within Rheinland, my understanding as a freighter pilot, is that certain military cargo must be licensed by your government, while certain materials like drugs and artifacts are outright contraband. I pride myself as a freighter that only moves legal cargo, and will apply for proper licensing if you'd like me to move restricted materials. Obviously, my ship is not designed for combat, so I try to stay away from conflict. My weapons are more of a deterrent for pirates, than anything else. In honesty, I generally run from combat, my cargo is too precious to waste time in dog fights. However, I always return captured pirates, or derelict pilot to the nearest police or military station.

I hope all is well. I thought I would reach out to you again to see how things are going on your side of the negotiations.

I would like to disclose that I have entered into a contract with BMF, moving base materials from surrounding planets to their installation. I do hope that this does not cause a conflict of interest. I have kept my schedule open to provide you at least four freight runs a week.

Also, I see to still owe you a debt, the repair fees for my ship during my last visit. Where would you like me to send the cost of docking plus repairs?

I would like to assure for you that there is no conflict of interests at all between us here in Solitaire Metropolis and the Bretonia Mining and Fabrication. Actually, we did some business together simply because their relation to rhienland bundestag is good and their business is all over our home space here. I am a rhienlander freelancer businessman as i mentioned before, so we are always glad to do business with BMF anytime. Now let's talk about some real business contract, here. Our installation is in-need for some materials at the moment. The docking master just delivered to me the plan and i found a good chance to include you on the list of suppliers. In more details, We need 20,000 pieces of Plasmonic Metamaterials which are found at Graves Station / Dublin system to be shipped to our Solitaire Metropolis at Stuttgart system / Sector 3B. The docking master is willing to pay up to 3,000 credits per each unit delivered. We also provide the best quality of uncut diamonds which can be shipped back to Waterloo station at New London system for a very good profit. I will wait your answer about that deal so we can go forward with the rest of the required procedures. Be advised that our docking master will require a proof for every shipment delivered accompanied with time stamps. Have a gut day mien herr.

I'm glad that you were able to hear that you were able to find a contract for me to fulfill. I am most interested in moving 20,000 pieces of Plasmonic Metamaterials for you. This sounds like a great deal for both of us. I actually wanted to give you some good news. This morning, I finally upgraded to a Liberty Mastodon, giving me a full 4975 unit cargo hold. It's terrific!
