Today I was mining with my friend Beryllium ore in the taus. The only problem was he couldn't transfer the ores into my cargo automatically for some reason. He was targeting me too and I tried too for him but didn't work. Can anyone help me?
You said that he couldn't mine himself either. Did he have a mining ship, mining equipment and a mining ID? Were you in a mineable field? Here's a map where you can see which field is mineable and which isn't. The in-game one might still view some as rich with ore, while they have no resources at all.
If Thunderer's tip doesn't work, leave group and join it again while having allies nearby. It should work then. Sometimes you have to re-enter group or you won't be able to mine for others

He could only mine for himself, but not for me. He had to trade me the ores.

That usually happens when he has no miner ID , he can mine for him self but not for others . It is also possible that your an his ID dont like each other , or his ID has in mining field that belongs to some other ID company .
What was the ship he was mining in ? and what was his Id/iff ?These things make a lot of difference..
I think IMG id/iff is best suited to mine in taus.Surveyor is a good mining ship with all small mining turrents. If all this is fine tell him to press Cntrl+t and then select your ship and mine.
PS:Glad someone is mining in taus again
