TO:Leadership of the Bretonian Armed Forces FROM:Praefectus Aquila, IG LOCATION:Freeport 1, Omega 3 System
Greetings leadership of the BAF and in particular Fleet Admiral Michelle O'Brian,
I am honored to finally be able to address this message to you Fleet Admiral Michelle O'Brian, for we extended our fleet with the Exodus under the command of the very capable Captain Andra Lancaster. She is granted the title Tribunus, for she will be a key commanding officer in the fleet of the Interstellar Guardians. As Tribunus she we conduct special operations regarding the investigation of alien organisms as a result of recent events and rumours.
It has brought to my attention that our newest member of the Interstellar Guardians fleet is rejected from the system of Omega 3 and in particular Freeport 1. Now, Freeport 1 is our base of operations and we have a large share in contribution to the safety of the freeport and the system as a whole, I believe this is in the best interests of the Bretonian Armed Forces as well. We honor Bretonian law in the system and also our Zoner law at Freeport 1. Due to growing hostilities from certain factions (unfortunately also from Zoner origin) it is important that the law is being enforced in the area.
I understand the ink is still wet of our signatures of the contract regarding the incorporation of the Exodus into the IG fleet. So we will comply to sanctions given earlier. But after that it is important to look further. As the Exodus is of today an Instellar Guardians vessel, and therefore she will be allowed to patrol the Omega 3 system and be stationed at Freeport 1.
In the meantime we need to focus us on our missions and setting up the coorperation between the IG and the BAF, for we have made large steps since a couple of days. Legatus Viator and I are looking forward to extend the coorperation even further in the future.
I thank you in advance for you understanding and I am looking forward to a thriving coorperation between our organisations!
I know that Admiral McIntire has had some correspondence with your group. I believe he has sent you a list of items we would like you to deliver to us, which I hope to hear good things about.
I find it interesting you speak of laws, as Mrs Lancaster broke Bretonian Law, which is what led to her dismissal from Bretonian space. Right now, especially as this has only just come into effect, I see absolutely no reason to rescind this.
Make no mistake, Praefectus, if the Exodus enters Omega-3, or any unapproved Capital vessel in any Bretonian system for that matter, my forces will be ordered to destroy it. The Exodus will not be allowed to patrol the Omega-3 system, or station at Freeport 1.
I hope the above is clear.
On behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, and Her People in the Realm of Bretonia,
Fleet Admiral Michelle O'Brian First Sea Lord
Commander of Her Majesty's Armed Forces
Bretonian Command
I must apologize, I just acquired a new comms officer, he is just learning the tricks of the trade.
I wanted to add that I believe a registration of the concerning capital ships is in order. We can comply to that wish. Could you inform me where and how you want the registration to take place?
I must say that I send you this message with mixed feelings. It seems that setting up a coorporation in a fair and honest manner is unknown territory for you or you just cannot do so. You just rage through existing table talks and destroy all the progress that has been made. Of that, I am not only speaking about the process of the IG and the BAF. That kind of undermining of your own personnel and the dishonesty of your way of conducting business is just not my cup of tea.
Well that is one side of the coin. The mixed feelings are due to the fact that the BAF has some very capable commanding officers, high and low. And it would be an honor to cooperate with those good people. It seems that they do understand the great matters that are at hand and what is to gain, for both parties, in working together.
In our example it is quite simple. We could arrange the transports to assist in the war effort. Maybe later even take it to the next level. But if the other side of the table is not capable to meet us halfway. Well, that is just no honest and fair business.
Freeport 1 is my birthplace and my grandfather was one of the founding fathers in 738 A.S. I just do not accept the ruin of this beloved freeport, because it happened to be in Bretonian space and the owner of the system just happened to be overstretching her lines. And also could be solving the problem, but instead throws away potentially good partnerships.
Free word of advice: look internally to the men and women in your fleet. They are very capable. Let them move freely between the frameworks. I believe you got a war to win.
I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about, and if you wish to build a good relationship with the people and groups of Bretonia, I suggest you explain yourself at once. I have no idea what I have done to so clearly annoy you, but I do not appreciate unexplained attacks on me or my officers, physically or verbally.
May I also add that you would do well to remember that Omega-3 is a Bretonian system, as accepted even by your Confederation of Freeports, and is subject to Bretonian law and judgement, whether you find our decisions pleasing or not.
May I close by asking you not to continue calling yourselves representatives of Freeport 1. I have had enough correspondence with the Confederation of Freeports by now, with zero mention of your group. Bretonia does not recognise any authority you claim to have in Freeport matters.
On behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, and Her People in the Realm of Bretonia,
Fleet Admiral Michelle O'Brian First Sea Lord
Commander of Her Majesty's Armed Forces
Bretonian Command
It is just quite the disappointment in the attitude.
There is nothing new there. I recoqnize Omega 3 as Bretonian space, that is why this communication channel is addressed to the BAF. For matters of clarity, I did not stated that I call myself a representative of Freeport 1. The Confederation of Freeports is well aware of the Interstellar Guardians. For I represent the IG myself in the Confederation of Freeports.
As you know the Exodus has left the Omega 3 system and paid the fine for breaking the law. For now I think it would be wise to let this matter rest, for we both have far more urgent business to attent to. I hope the next time our paths cross we can enjoy that famous Bretonian tea I hear so much about.
