Double-Checking
Guten Abend, Professor.
I apologize again for the inconvenience the former Vorsitzende caused within your organization. We have all suffered because of her machinations, and will probably continue to do so.
In the interest of communication, cooperation and reconciliation, however, I have a request for you.
Recently, the Widerstand has been contacted by a certain MND Agent going by the name of Alexander von Giesen. I do not trust the MND one bit, and I would like to rely on your sect's extensive ability to dig up reliable information on things like this. Any information about the man would be appreciated.
With the sincere hope for a quick and favourable answer,
Dr. Annika J. Haupt, Oberst and commanding officer of the Vereinigte Widerstandsarmee

Dr. Haupt
I must say that when I saw your message I was surprised to look out and see that Harburg City wasn't up in flames. Communications from the Vereinigte Widerstandsarmee almost always seem to accompany disaster for either my operatives or the people of Hamburg itself. Especially when they're concerning a certain green-haired "Jane".
I do find it rather laughable that your idea of reconciliation is to ask for more of our very limited resources, but since you seem to have distanced yourself from the destruction and messes caused by Klugmann and Eistochter I'll provide what I can. A search of our systems for this von Giesen brought up the following information:
Marinenachrichtendienst Agent Alexander von Giesen
Age: 29 years old
Height: 1,90m
Hair color: Brown
Eye color: Brown
Current status: M.I.A
While I can't say anything about this man's background, personality or even intentions, according to my informatives it does seem that this person is not under current assignment with the MND. Good luck trying to figure out his true intentions.
I've made this exception once for you, Haupt. I sincerely hope that the Widerstandsarmee is reformed under your command, and I haven't made a grave mistake in assisting you.
Let me stress again that I was not involved in the killing of your operative. It was a terrible loss for the cause, and I can fully understand why you are careful working with the Widerstand. As for a disaster, I hardly think that the spire that blew up did you any bad. I seem to recall seeing that one of your "affiliated" companies got the job for rebuilding it, aside from the fact that HarbSec holds the contract for half the city now. If you ask me, that "Jane"-person is certainly not someone you should be holding grudges against.
Asking for a favour is hardly a bad thing for reconciliation, if you ask me. Especially since asking a favour usually entails owing one, and what better base for is there for reconciliation than mutually assertive cooperation?
I am thankful of your assistance in any case. I'd also like to inform you that my recent speech asking for an election of the new Party leader has been approved by the Parteikongress, so there will be a vote held very soon. I can offer you a shuttling to Bruchsal, if you intend on being around for it.
I hope that your closing remark is meant as a means of veiled politeness and will take it as such. We're both on the same side here, Professor. I am not my predecessor, neither am I Eistochter.
With respect,
Dr. Annika J. Haupt, Oberst and commanding officer of the Vereinigte Widerstandsarmee

Dr. Haupt,
Whatever you stress is of no interest to me, I still hold the Widerstandsarmee personally responsible for the loss of our operative. Furthermore, HarbSec operates as a company independent of the HVEB. While they are sympathetic of our cause, I am deeply offended of your implication that I am attempting to make profit out of this situation. The distress of the people of Hamburg has been a terrible weight on our entire organisation for the past months, and many of our other operations have had to cease for fear of discovery following raids by the Polizei. I will assume, however, that your comments are more of a strange way of appeasement.
I intend on being present for the vote for the new Party Leader, and in fact plan on running for the position myself. I assume since this is being held at Bruchsal, I will have to be shuttled in by one of your pilots? If that is the case please send one that has a little more sense than the one I was received by last time. I do not want to repeat the pass-by of Mannheim station that a certain Fuchs did in order to "save time" as was done a long time ago.
I apologize if I have offended you. We all know the influence your organization exerts on Planet Hamburg, and we're all glad for it being there. Otherwise mayn of our operations and supplies from planetside would't arrive, in addition to you and the Adler keeping the Unioners in check. Furthermore, I am not blind to the suffering of the people on Hamburg, and if you haven't noticed already, I have declared both responsible people rogues to the VWA, and most sects have so far acknowledged this. Yours has so far not done so, at least for the former Oberst, interestingly. I assume that this is just a protocol issue, of course.
I am glad that we get the chance to meet in person once again. The latest circumstances were not quite as pleasant, and we might maybe even work out a way to find common ground for both our groups. I appreciate you notifying me of your candidacy, since I can adjust my way of rhetorics accordingly when we will face each other in the debates. I recommend you do the same.
Of course I will personally make sure that you will be shuttled by one our most trusted pilots. Aktivist Feinen will soon be on her way to meet you, you will just have to take a civilian shuttle to Kreuzberg. She will be waiting in the usual dock.
In the (shared) hope of reconciliation

Dr. Haupt,
I accept your apology whole-heartedly. Clearly while you have been briefed on many of the runnings of the Bundschuh already, you have obviously not been told of how the HVEB communicates. Due to the constant surveillance of Planet Hamburg, our internal memos are submitted on a different encrypted channel. All of our agents have been made aware that the former Parteivorsitzende is a rogue element convicted of treason. The HVEB however, refuses to acknowledge the supposed conviction of Oberst Klugmann. Incompetent he may be, but there is not sufficient evidence to support the stance currently taken by the Bundschuh regarding him. Upon reaching Bruchsal I will be lobbying against this unjust assassination of his character.
I am comforted, however, to hear that you are sending a sane pilot in order to shuttle me to Bruchsal. I hope that we can cooperate and find better ways for the various sects of the Bundschuh to work as a more cohesive whole. Furthermore, the absence of Freya will mean that my operatives and I are able to speak freely to represent the interests of the citizens of Hamburg, and we appreciate the Vereinigte Widerstandsarmee providing Bruchsal as a place for meeting.
