So the comm I promised. I hafta say, I'm glad I met ya two out there, 'cause now it all makes sense at least, but first things first.
My apology fer that incident stands, but since we both 'now ya can't buy anythin' fer words, I'd like to offer ya five millions fer the damages. Just tell me where ya want them.
Now, to explain why that even happened. We 'ave a deal made with the Council. Fairly simple one. We bring food and munitions to Crete, and fer that we get a free passage and some relics. But our ability to brin' ya the stuff is based on our reputation in houses. Governments dinnae 'now 'bout our deals with ya and a few others, we can fly freely there and we can acces the stuff Coucil wants.
We dinnae want to fight ye, or The Brotherhood, or any Corsair really, but we can't really stand idle when our contractor is fightin'. Should he report us to the law, our reputation, and ability to brin' the desired stuff to ya, could very well be ruined. This was not the case in the indicident that happened, we are not hired fer helpin' foolish security pilots, but it might happen in the future, since most of our work comes from the houses.
That's somethin' we failed to realise when we made the deal, which ultimately led to the mistake of our pilot. But since we are aware of it now, I'd like to propose to ye the same thin' I proposed to The Brotherhood. Communication. If ya want to sit on some lanes, ya can send us a message, and we simply make sure to be busy elswhere. And if we do run in each other, while we escort traders ya really want to squeeze fer some cash, we can talk it out in private channels, decide who'll win, and then dish out the fireworks. The winner of course let's the loser escape, otherwise this deal won't work.
As I said, we dinnae wan't to fight ye, but we really need to convince others the opposite is true.
With regards Jimmy O'Brian
P.S.: Oh, by the way, if ya need somethin' delivered or some other deal, we can arrange that. Fer a price of course.
I appreciate that you have enough reason to apologise for your comrade's actions, however I don't think a stain on your honour can be scratched by sending five millions. What I don't appreciate is your inability to avoid conflicts of interests. There are a multitude of ways around that and I trust you can come up with something more reasonable than a set up fight.
Regardless, I am willing to give you a chance to redeem yourselves fully. The yields from our fields in western Attica have been smaller due to poor weather conditions. We need a way to fix it. We had a conversation with a Planetform transport hauling some sort of fertilizer they call FloraGro. Our farmers want to see how it works in Cretan conditions. Bring 25'000 units of that fertilizer to Crete and we will forget about the incident.
Until next time.
Yours sincerely,

And 'ere I thought yer reasonable. 25 000 crates of stuff to payback fer one mistake, mistake that dinnae cost ye a thin' ? What do ya think we are, yer slaves? We are a network of freelancers. Each 'nd every of our pilot is an idividual, responsible just fer themself. One pilot did a mistake and paid fer that. Our transports got hit fer that mistake at least twice by the members of The Brotherhood. That's more than 'nough payback in me opinion.
And yet ye ask fer a ludicrous amount of stuff to "wipe the stain on our honour" ? Listen, I'm willin' to do deals with ye, but if ye think ya can be unreasonable than ye're wrong. We are lookin' fer a partners to work with, not a masters to slave fer. We can deliver ya cargo, even in that large amounts, but not under those conditions. If ya want the stuff, ya will pay a fair price fer it, like everyone else.
I have given you our terms. If you want to continue to pass by our ships unscathed then I suggest you comply. There is no time limit for this task, do it at your own leisure. Our farmers will pay handsomely for the fertilizer and if I like your services, I might even pitch in a bit from my own pocket.
Yours sincerely,

Ya 'now what? I'm in generous mood. I'll ignore the threats and yer attitude and treat t'is just like any other contract. But fer yer own sake, I hope the money fer this will be worth it.
I appreciate the swift delivery and I hope the lesson was learned and you will not attempt to mess around with us anymore. Attican farmers are grateful. I'm going to forward a bonus of 40 million credits to an account of your choosing.
Yours sincerely,
