We discovered those caves, during my last mission in the deep wasteland of Crete. They are populated with that Sand People, processing humid air to get water for their strange crop growing systems. They are digging Artifacts and so far they managed to activate some to speed up the whole process. I even managed to negotiate some ship-cloak supplies with them.
The cave water facility: most precious treasure of Sand People
It's understandable water is most expensive treasure for them. But they worship some old Prophet as well and they bow to His religious manuscripts every morning. Those places are guarded even better than their water tanks and I managed to break in only thanks to my superior sneaking skills. I was amazed by religious zeal they are receiving from those old pages. Not to mention other treasures they keep on those holy places, including Xeno devices they call The Tears of Allah.
Holy Buddhislam pages: source of Wasteland law and zeal
But, there was one person I'd never guess I can see at such a place. As you probably recognise this face, just to make it clear: it was famous Bretonian racer and well-known opportunist Dexter Hovis. And what was he doing there? BUYING one of Xeno devices able to sort and even OPEN Relics, Artifacts and who knows what else!
Dexter Hovis getting one Tear of Allah
Thanks to my outraging spying skills and agility, I managed to attach pinhole hyper-camera to his suitcase and guess what? After few hours of space travel, I received this snapshots of some underground lab at Sprague! Unfortunately, I have no idea which lab is this exactly, so we must nuke all of them. Rapido! Artifacts are OUR business, caramba! No ugly Bretonian could take it from our rightful hands!

Fleet moves from Cadiz at 18:00 GMT this very evening. May Santa Muerte embrace our dead over Sprague.

Greetings El commesario. As i review Your findings several questions came to my mind.
Firstly my commendations for discoverying that enclave of sand people. It seems that even our home world which seems well exlopred, we again discover something new. But many question raised to my attention regarding our policies and our `trading relations` as i can put it.
We generally sell artifacts to all who would pay for them regardless they are Bretonians or Gallics even. Only one in this case who ripped our profits are those sand man you mentioned. However it seems that that Hovis or whatever came for just ONE specific item, so it has some extraordinary value as finding. But we can only speculate.
Secondly is our economic interest so much damaged for a single jewel item that we should muster whole Fleet to Cadiz? At least when i read your call i thought its some invasion threatening... Then to nuke whole section of a Planet in search of one man, or some retribution. Who will then buy our relics in future if prospected to be shoot, cause he bought something unnacounted for, from our side?
I cant approve this disproportionate respond for isolated case of one jewel , as i concern it deteriorate our usuall bussines. thousands of other relics await even now in Puerta to be ditributed. Even we manage to get something from this our customers will avoid trading with us just for the sake situation get stabilized and time pass. Losses are bigger then gains in long term.
However, You interested me of that Tear of Allah.Very interesting story but more suited for espinoage and inteligeence than crude warfare. I am ready to try to track those hints and make investigation that we retrieve it in our possesion. But if brothers choose guns instead, jewel would be lost forever. Thats my personal appinion, but would appreciate judge of majority and our wise Elders.

Hmmmm... I must admit you are right, Padre. I'd rather have it, than destroy it. In case you weren't focused on details, Tears of Allah can sort and even OPEN other Artifacts. So handle it well and do not play with it whatever happens.
Yes, I'm sending you to fetch it for me. You can sneak, you can steal, you can even negotiate... I don't care. Just get it within 48 hours, before... you know... nukes start falling down.
Good luck and Santa Muerte show you the right path.

El commesario, I have made inittial inquiries. IMG has not responded, but Bretonians did. They promised to start inquiry on themselves. I left them unaware of purpose of artifact and its abilities, although by mere pointing of incident given them some hint that that thing is important to us. Hovis frequent trips put and in out from Bretonia, as he still from time to time stays at Dublin. For what purposes they claim not to know.
They asked for some more details about artifact, but somehow ignored my indirect warnings that situation could `worsen dramatically` if this incident dont be scored. Actually they havent inquired/bothered about outbreak of possible hostilities at all, as i would expected. Mere interest for artifact indicates, as i think that they are more anxious to exploit it themselves then worry about Kingdom security. Therefore i think that they are prepared for scenario of mass conflict, but instead just probing me for value of their `tradeoff`.
To conclude investigation, by indirect deduction from informant correspondence I suspect that Hovis was probably working for someone close to official Bretonians rather then some independent client. I will leave next moves for you to decide Senor Ladron and act by those plans.
If Bretonians make some `report` of value for us ill notify, but will not feed them with any more info.
Francisko out.
