This is part of an update release on XX/XX/XXXX. As of that date all the changes described are live on the official server.
Following up on the general fighter gun/turret balance patch, the Auxiliary Weapons Update introduces an extra asset to every Heavy, Very Heavy and Super Heavy Fighter: The "Auxiliary Weapon" gun class.
As of release, this gun class consists of what previously was part of the class 10 missile pod slot and the fighter torpedo slot. Additionally, four entirely new ammo-based guns were added to the game: The EMA Cannon, Bulk and Auto Dispersion Guns, and a Rapidfire Launcher (and their nomad counterparts).Paralyzer missiles (and their nomad counterparts) were turned into dumbfires similar to the Cannonball; Escopeta and Starkiller fighter torpedoes were rebalanced to fit the new class.
Sidewinder, Sunslayer and Firestalker missiles/torpedoes (and their nomad counterparts) have been discontinued either as part of a balance decision or due to redundancy.
Every Very Heavy Fighter has received an additional hardpoint in which the new AWs can be mounted. The old VHF CD/T slot is now reserved for CDs exclusively.
Heavy Fighters are able to mount AWs in their native CD slot, turning it into a combined CD/AW slot. As such, unlike VHFs, HFs have to choose between a CD and an AW.
Super Heavy Fighters can mount one AW in a shared CD/AW slot. Like VHFs, they may mount both a CD and AW simultaneously.
For clarification: Light Fighters and Bombers can not use these AWs.
Both new and existing hardpoints in which AWs are mounted are limited to the ship's old CD/T min/max angles, meaning unlike regular guns AWs have rather limited arcs.
Below are the specifics of all new AWs, aswell as the changed stats of revised, existing, weapons. If an existing weapon is not listed below and has not been discontinued that means its stats have not changed and it was only moved to this new slot (i.e. Mini Razor, Inferno).
