Things have been grim these past few months; during all that unpleasantness with the Council, I made, as you know, the difficult position to put family first... but I'd rather not waste time talking about that. Torino is more of a rustic, relaxing place. I prefer it to the luxury of Savona; the air is clearer, there are fewer disturbances, and it is nearer to the way our ancestors lived. Perhaps a crackling fireplace and a starry sky is less urbane than what you are probably used to, but I do hope you might find an appreciation for the simple pleasures of country life. Who knows?
