I am Kyu Akibara, Advisor of the Omicron Supply Industries. OSI Director of Manufacturing Paul Mendes told me I could contact you in order to invite PFI to our Nichols Upgrade Project. To get a bit more into detail, our R&D teams are working on the plans to upgrade Nichols with a Space Hydroponics dome, Food Synthesizer modules, Oxygen Recyclers and Water Purifiers. I guess PFI can help us with at least two of those upgrades, knowing that nobody is better in terraforming, which includes the purification of water and oxygen.
Thus I would like to request Planetforms assistance with this project. Technological exchange, a few experts, that would be something. We have also invited Kishiro, Ageira, IRG and Synth Foods to assist our R&D teams on Lanzarote, Canaria, the Vista and Nichols. Not as competitors, but as cooperative working concensus of Sirius' greatest minds, and I would really like to see Planetform joining this.
We are open for any offers.

Dear Mr Akibara,
You are quite correct in your assumptions as Planetform Inc. is indeed possesses an unique expertise in air and water recuperation, whether natural or artificial. Our Xenobiotic Filters are well known around the sector as the best hardware for highly effective purification and recirculation of all kinds of life-sustaining materials.
I'm glad to inform you that we just have an experienced engineering team ready to inspect Nichols Station and prepare blueprints for the technology you are looking for, tailored precisely for your needs. We will also gladly use an opportunity to cooperate with the best minds of Sirius on this project.
Now, to the details of logistics. We are ready to dispatch our personnel transportation vessel to Omega-49. I will send you it's identification in case it needs special clearance to dock with Nichols Trade Center. I will also send you IDs of engineering team members. The price of inspection will be symbolic 10 million credits (account name is PFI)Moneyland). This includes preparation of blueprints for Water Purifier and Oxygen Recycler modules based on our standard products with the similar functions.
Note that the inspection crew will need access to the station's tech decks and life support systems. This team can stay at your station as long as needed to present you results of their work and coordinate with representatives of other corporations involved in the project to enhance the initial blueprints, if needed.
So please let me know if these terms are acceptable to you, and we will send the team in a few days.
Yours sincerely Jack Worth

I am happy to hear such positive news. I'm sure your team lending us a few hands will drastically fasten the progression with the Nichols Upgrade Project!
The payment has been wired and the Nichols Docking Control was advised to welcome your ship with open arms, fireworks and confetti. Jokes aside, I advised a service team to make sure your team will get anything they need. Including access to our R&D equipment and the station's life support systems. However, I am sure you understand that we will have some personnel to watch over it. Also, crew shuttles will be available to allow your personnel to move between OSI's installations in the entire system if necessary, including our parts of Lanzarote, Grand Vista Orbital and OSI bases on Gran Canaria. A bit of fresh air will surely be appreciated after a while of working on a space station.
If you require an escort to the Omega-49 system, we can arrange something as well.

Mr. Akibara, it took our team little bit longer than I anticipated to complete the inspection and come up with blueprints for life-support systems at your station. However, I'm glad to inform you that the first stage of the project was finished with success. The report and blueprints are being uploaded to your Neural Net node as we speak. Here is the summary of the report.
Subject: Nichols Trade Center Life Support Systems Date: 824-3-7
Summary
The following report summarizes the current status of life support systems on Nichols Trade Center station. The systems inspected include:
- Water recycling system
- Air recuperation system
Both systems were found to be well maintained and working at 80-90% of the projected effectiveness. However, due to use of older and simplistic technology, the actual recycle rate of those systems is low. Only about 45% of water is being recycled on the station as of current, remaining is dumped in process of purification.
Air purification systems work reasonably well, but cannot effectively extract oxygen from carbon dioxide which is just exhausted into outer space. This leads to dependency from external supply of oxygen, as well as water.
It is recommended to use standard Planetform modules LSM-SB-184/2-C to create a closed cycle for water and oxygen recuperation on Nichols Trade Center station. An array of 12 of these modules in combination with purification systems XBF-AO-391-11/9-P based on Xenobiotic Filters will provide air/water regeneration at 86.4% efficiency rate.
Considering the volume of air in the pressurized structures of the station, current and estimated population, projected construction of hydroponic gardens and configuration of tech decks of the station, it was concluded that installation of air/water purification and regeneration arrays will require extending the station's structure.
As the modules consume significant amount of energy to conduct regeneration reactions, the project will also require increasing station's power generation by 200 MWh.
Electronic management and monitoring systems shall be installed along the module arrays. They automate most of the routine maintenance procedures and ensure alerting of human operations personnel about serious incidents. See example screen of the interface below.
Module LSM-SB-184/2-C
An integrated air/water regeneration module that restores oxygen and water from products of respiration using so called 'water gas shift reaction', or Sabatier-Bosch cycle:
2H2O -> O2 + 2H2 -> CO2 + 2H2 + 2H2 -> 2H2O + 2H2 + C
This reaction produces atomic carbon (or graphite) as a waste and automatically removes it to dump. Cobalt is used as a catalyst for the reaction, single load is good for 10 years of operation before maintenance. Generator heats the working area to 450oC - 600oC to sustain the reaction.
Module XBF-AO-391-11/9-P
An integrated filtering module for air and water. It utilizes complex system of mechanical, osmotic and biological filters. It is highly efficient and removes over 99% of contaminants. Biological filter uses an alien species of microorganisms discovered on Planet Atka.
These modules are publicly promoted under trademark 'Xenobiotic Filters'.
The report contains blueprints and physical measurements for the projected systems, including reactor and filter arrays, electronic management and monitoring systems, power supply, oxygen and water tubing and other communications. Based on those, we can estimate a list of materials required to construct the framework for the system. I leave work cost estimations to you, unless you want to employ Planetform construction teams for that task.
Additionally, the cost of production of required filters and reactor modules will be calculated. Production facilities are located on Cold Bay Depot and on California Minor. Produced modules will be transported to Gran Canaria, and then to Nichols for assembly, once the system framework is built.
Please, let me know if this plan works for you and what is your desirable timeline. I am awaiting your reply.

Your teams did a very impressive job on this, and while I have to excuse myself for contacting you that belated, I have good news for you, as the Omicron Supply Industries Board of Directors voted with great majority for investing in PlanetForms blueprints. Even better, in the meantime we found a solution about the food supplying of the station.
As soon as we finalize the blueprints on the hydroponics and the food synthesizer modules, we will be able to begin with phase two of the project, the construction of prototypes and the first long-term tests. I will keep you up-to-date with the information about it. In the meantime, your teams are free to enjoy the hospitability of Nichols and Gran Canaria.
About the filters and reactor modules, please send me the expected results. We're currently not that much in a hurry, though, as OSI is currently solving some issues regarding the Omicron Delta crisis.

Mr. Akibara, I'm flattered and proud that you choose Planetform over competition. We are ready to start working on the project.
As I understand, you want to build facilities to produce the components for recycle modules on Gran Canaria. Our engineers will help you with that. The list of commodities required to build experimental party of module parts is already in your Neural Net node. When those parts are ready, Planetform teams will test them and help you make necessary adjustments to achieve desired efficiency. Our price for this phase is 22,500,000 credits, including special 10% discount.
Now, as I understand, the facilities we are going to help you build and tune, could be used to produce the recuperation systems parts for other customers. Since this parts will include our patented technology, I suggest additional agreement so that Planetform receives 12% of any profit that OSI might make by selling this technology in future. In exchange, we will provide maintenance and technical support to the production facility for no additional charge. My legal team has drafted the agreement and it is now being uploaded to your Neural Net node.
I hope these proposals make sense to you, however, I'm open to your conunteroffers.
Yours sincerely Jack Worth

Omicron Supply Industries agrees with the terms you mentioned. There is literally nothing to add about it. We are currently in the preparations for phase two of the project, the list about the required commodities for the Oxygen Recycler and the Water Purifier is already completed, though. I am certain we will be able to begin with phase two soon.
I will also inform Director of Manufacturing Paul Mendes to forward the payment to PFI. All we need is the name of the account you want the money to be wired to. It should happen within 24 hours then.
It is a pleasure to work with PFI on this.
