The Munster archives were quite expansive for a station that’s never normally used anymore. Enfield was holding a bottle of water in his hand, a room filled with hard paper copies of documents was kept at minimal humidity to keep them preserved and he was already feeling the effects of how dry it was. Moving from draw to draw, he kept opening and taking out certain documents. High voltage pulse capacitors, long range EM-emitters, prototype long range solid fuel propellants, laser designated target finders.
His mouth kept swallowing what moisture it had before he could take another sip from the bottle, he may feel its fine but his mind was screaming that he was secretly trying to test his endurance limits again. He took time to stack some of those papers into the briefcase and started closing the air tight cabinets close to him before getting the trolley stacked for ones he found on the other side of the archive. “Hmm…” At this point the near silence of the room got to him as he looked around to check his surroundings for reassurance, nothing but the gentle hum of the environmental controls was all that was heard. He rolled the trolley away to the cabinets he needed to reach but a small gap in the floor caused the trolley to jolt, knocking some files off the side.
He started picking them up one by one, but his eyes caught something in the corner of one of them. A black stamp saying “For the Direktors eyes only”. He took his time to read the front cover, judging its contents was something he could flick through later, he put that one in his briefcase and stacked the rest on the trolley, swiped key cards to access the air tight cabinets and packed them away. Before he reached the exit to the archive, a large cry of hunger came from his stomach and echoed through the archives. He tapped the communicator on his ear. "Miss Koppfier, tell our Auxesian guests once they arrive that I’ll be in the cafeteria and ask if they would like to take their luggage to the labs once they’ve passed security.”“Yes Herr Direktor, is there anything else you wished to ask?” “Whats on the menu today?” “Bratwurst, roast potatoes along with trimmings and a dessert of Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte.” He gave a little smile as he stepped into the elevator. “Fantastic.”
Stacker had arrived on station, wearing nothing more than long green cargo pants and a white t-shirt. It was clear he wasn't one for the formalities. He came escorted with one personal guard and a pair of volunteer engineers from the Auxesian R&D department. Followed by his entourage, Stacker had approached a member of the BDM deck crew. "Hey there bud. Got a meeting with your Director this evening." He pulled a datapad from his pocket, activating it and eyeing the numbers on screen. "Do tell him I apologize for the late arrival." Stacker glanced up from his datapad, an apologetic grin crossing his lips.
"This probably isn't the best place for me to be.""Uhuh, what made you say that? The fact that we're making an EMP device or...""We're on a military installation and unlike us, they're not used to seeing a female android walk around." They were both walking down the hallway to the labs, holding brief cases in both hands. They were going at a brisk pace, their lack of uniforms apart for the BDM badge seemed to turn a few more heads if it wasn't for the feminine android. Enfield had a bit of gum in his mouth and an earpeice playing music into his left ear. Zeal on the other hand had a rifle slung over her shoulder while maintaining her focus as she approached the laboratories. "Did you feed the dog this morning?""Yes.""Damn, Me too... He's going to be fat."
Coming to a large room, that was mostly an empty area for now. A few metal tables and some computer terminals. "Right... This room is empty for now." "Well, with the lack of funds, we can't exactly maintain a presence here." They place the few briefcases that they carried onto the tables. He checked the watch "We'll leave this here for now, I'm going to the airlock to greet whoever Raven sent our way. I'll be back shortly." He started jogging his way back before something made him stop. "Oh, and keep a record of anything you need! I'll send some guys to pick them up." "I'll try not to start any fires." She smiled as she watched him jog on the spot briefly before he darted off to the airlock.
"Where are they?""Just coming in now sir." He brushed off any dust and tried to smarten up his plain T-shirt, jeans and trainers. "Right, get anyone to help them with their equipment."
