Notes:
Constructed by request of a research division in the start of 812 A.S. to serve as a staging point for expeditions, the Templar was a start of a new breed of Nephilims, whose purpose was to serve as Science divisions before actual guard ships. However, in November of 816, the pressure from local pirate groups and the hazards of the Omegas began to take their toll on traders and humanitarian groups. To counter this, a private engineering firm purchased the title and registration forms from the previous owners, and requested the ship to be retrofitted with a small shipyard inside. Canibalizing nearly all of the science division, a carrier bay and production center was installed.
Initially assigned to act as a midway station for ships departing and entering the various Freeports in the Omegas, the Templar was also deployed for the defense of Zoner assets, including Freeport 11, on multiple occasions. Designed to facilitate as a shipyard production center for small craft, it also had capability to maintain larger vessels, to an extent.
The Cobbler Repair rig is a cousin to the more common 'Mender' Repair rigs used across Sirius. The Cobbler line was developed specificly for the Titan-class Nephilims, boasting a larger nanotool and more advanced ship-to-ship anchors, which provide the ability to secure itself to most, if not all, large transports and capitals that require repair. The unique nature of the Cobbler allows it to conduct large scale repairs and small scale reconstruction, although substantial damage will require a visit to a spacedock.
When not in use, the Cobbler's clamps and appendages fold into itself, creating a medium-sized 'brick' that fits into the eight specialized compartments within the hanger bay for easier storage and deployment.
Mass: 4,530,000 Kg
Minimum Crew for Operation: 53
Fuel Type:4.24% Uranium-235, 47.6% Plutonium-239, 45.31 Thorium-232, 2.35% Non-Fissionable Materials
Total Power Output: 2,400,000,000 Watts
Cooling Method:N2(l) Primary, H2O(l) Secondary, Spatial Venting Tritiary/Auxiliary
Reactor Efficiency: 91%
Notes:
The Icarus Intermix Chamber Reactor System is one of a dying breed of Intermix Reactors for large vessels, as most move to singularity containment and stellar plasma scooping. Within the reactor base itself contains six smaller micro-reactors that surround the main reactor, in case of the need to service the main reactor. Ambient temperature is 2500K within the reaction chamber, 317K externally. Access is restricted and all individuals are required to be equipped with full radiation and thermal protection assets. Depleted fuels are shipped outbound to a local Freeport to be routed to an ALG Containment Facility, when avalable.
In the event of Containment Failure, Safety Protocol 294-31a will be activated, ejecting the reactor core into the interstellar medium.
Name: Alyssa Evans
Date-of-Birth: August 17th, 801 A.S. (Age 22)
Birthplace: Greenborough, Planet Manhattan, Liberty Space
Eye Color: Brown
Hair Color: Blonde
Occupation: Z.N.S. Templar First Officer
Born on a small ranch in the bitter north of Manhattan's northern continent, Alyssa had a fairly quiet childhood. She attended typical Libertonian grade school and small town college in her home area, finding a bit of solace with a group of friends from the surrounding neighborhood. While nowadays they aren't anywhere to be found, she did get a bit of inspiration from them to see all she could in Sirius. By the time she got her independent pilot's license, she'd spent quite some time with local Zoners, enticing her to explore and stay free.
She started her main spaceborne career as a pilot of a dromedary, shipping as far as Gamma and the far Sigmas. Near the turn of the second decade, she found herself drawn more to the Zoners themselves, taking up the tag and mounted ID cards and flying an Osprey out of Freeport 11 in Omicron Delta. She then transitioned to captaining a Conference out of Freeport 5, then a Bustard out of Livadia. Recently she was chosen to be the First Officer aboard the mobile shipyard Nephilim Z.N.S. Templar after the previous one's departure due to personal issues. She stands in the stead of Reed when he's not available, but keeps the place tidy for when he returns.
Name: Augustine Midas
Date-of-Birth: February 21st, 797 A.S. (Age 27)
Birthplace: Wallace Beach, Planet Gran Canaria
Eye Color: Blue-green
Hair Color: Brown
Occupation: Z.N.S. Templar Communications Officer
Spending most of her youth in the rich coastal town she was born in, Augustine became friends with many upper-class Zoners. After she finished school on Gran Canaria, she chose to attend the Cambridge University to further her studies. After her first space voyage she fell in love with the freedom, the stars and later on, the thrill of sweet talking her way out of trouble with both the authorities and pirates. Having discovered her negotiation skills, she set out for the Edge nebula in search of sights, freedom and potentially a job.
After spending six years in the most remote regions of Sirius, Augustine started missing home. While preparing to set out from Freeport 11, one of her friends made a joke about a Colony Ship, ZNS Templar communications officer position that was open for applicants and how she was the perfect candidate because of her ways with words. They both thought it'd be quite funny if she were to send in an application, so she did. Recording all the lines required for the application and adding a few additional recordings of her successful attempts at negotiating her way out of trouble with pirates and the law alike, as well as a recording of her negotiating with a Core pilot for the life of a stranded Zoner transport in the middle of the Freeport 11 siege, she sent it in. To her surprise, a week after she arrived back on Gran Canaria she received a reply from the ZNS Templar commanders. The ship was in orbit of the Omega-49 sun which was so convenient to her that she couldn't look it over.
