The Custodi wish for me to act as a liaison between our two organizations in a new venture. The acceptance you have shown us previously, along with the cooperation we have had in terms of the PT-HN engines and Escopeta weapons have led us to believe you may be favorable to a more civic minded prospect.
The Custodian culture is rich and steeped in history, and we believe it would be a travesty were it not allowed to be shared with the larger public. Particularly, our history at this point in time. We would like to collaborate with the Gaians to facilitate the creation of Custodian inspired museums, to help record our history both for ourselves, and for those outside our ranks, for the future.
As I mentioned, this is more of a civic project than otherwise. Of course, we hardly expect your aid in this for nothing, so I'm sure we can come to terms to further our goals.
Your proposition comes as a surprise to us, given that our organisation isn't exactly renowned for museums or related facilities. Nevertheless, me and a number of Guard's civilian personel are willing to try and aid the Custodi in this endeavour. However, before we discuss anything further, we'd like to know what exactly do you require our help with. I'd rather avoid promising assistance with a project we might not be able to contribute to.
While the Gaians may not be renowned for museums and the like, your people do have ties to Bretonian academia I believe. To this end, we wish to make use of those ties and connections to help set up the museums in question. We would of course be supplying all the artifacts and knowledge for the exhibits to ensure the accuracy of said displays, and would work alongside your own curators to help educate viewers in Custodian history.
The real crux of the matter is the physical location the museum would be situated, as while we have museums in Heraklion on Crete, it is a far less accessible world than any in Bretonian space. We do hope you can assist us in this matter, as it would allow for the sharing of our history and culture with those who are not in a position to learn the truth of it.
I cannot help but understand that you wish for the facility to be established on a bretonian world, and I'm afraid that such a project would be... difficult. Even with our connections with academic circles of planet Cambridge. Legal complications regarding any sort of cretan artifacts aside, the sole hostility between our peoples will make it hard for Bretonia's authorities to allow the creation of such a facility. Additionally, pushing for such a facility may defame and compromise the positions of our contacts planetside.
I will have to discuss this with the rest of our command, but I do not expect the reaction to be very positive. Personally, I believe establishing museums of of your history will be much easier to accomplish in Kusari.
I'm afraid I've been instructed to shut this initiative down due to circumstances beyond my knowledge. Whatever they might be, I hope that the resolution will come quickly, allowing us to carry on from what little we've already established.
