A complex of dark iron rose from the graveyard of one thousand souls, perished in the desperate and rushed battle of Yaren. A cathedral to a God. A new god that would purify humanity from its sins and restore Sirius. A few are still foolish enough to get ripped apart into a thousand shards from the ruthless, unfathomable complex's automated defenses. Core operatives are currently operating within the complex, planning further strategies for the takeover of the standalone Freeport. Jaysen was ready. For the first time of his life, he had the honor of using the restricted area of the newfound H+ Clinic. A crackling speaker pronounced Jaysen's name into a soft, smooth voice. The man stood up and walked right into the elevator for the clinic.
As he got out of the white elevator pod, he entered the lobby. A large room with shining, blistering white walls and relatively bright neutron lights were covering most of the clinic's wide room, whilst a few plasma monitors were displaying animations of the available "upgrades" offered by the clinic. As Jaysen sat onto one of the chairs at the far end of the room, he was immediately greeted by a doctor."Mister Jaysen, we've been expecting you.", said the doctor with a soft, calm voice. Her voice sounded way too bright, and her smile was somewhat aesthetically "Thanks, Miss Pauline, that took a while. Was busy killing some squid vermin near Nauru." "Your work is most appreciated. The High Command will be most pleased to hear that. Please, come with me." The woman turned around, giving an elegant vibe to her long, white lab dress. All of the monitors suddenly flickered and turned off by themselves, as Jaysen left the room.
A small, thick, long corridor was lying ahead of the small party of two. "Newfound Paladin Jaysen, also known as, "Spectre-one". I need you to sign these papers. You've kind of... rushed them yesterday. We knew you were in a hurry, but still." The woman handed out a few papers from a huge archive desk into the corridor. "Please, sign these right now. We cannot complete our transaction if you do not comply to our bureaucracy." The man nodded, as he decided to sign the deal over that small, uncomfortable metal desk. A few spaces were left blank because he was indeed in a hurry. He wasn't able to make out most of the words, due to the room being partially darkened from the lack of lights. "Drug/Chem addiction, none. Recently-experienced traumas, none. Alright, it's done." The man handed the papers to the woman. "Excellent, please, sit over one of the chairs in the next room. A tablet will be waiting for you. The monetary transaction has been taken care of, successfully. Good luck out there!" The woman turned around and left the man walk by himself to the waiting room. Two persons were currently sitting in the far corner of the room. Both of them were reading some sort of magazine. The man on the left, whose face has been severely damaged to some sort of radiation exposure, greeted Jaysen with an unsettling smile. Jaysen turned his sight elsewhere. Was that a result of a failed H+ Clinic operation? No way. Jaysen sat onto one of the chairs and grabbed the tablet. Several options were available, written in a goofy green text on a black screen.

Several hours later, a doctor in a wide lab dress called out for Jaysen's name. "Hello there, youngster, I am Doctor Irwin Houser. I see you've found an interest into our newfound Hy-mag regulators and the Saturn bio-capacitors, not to mention the ARES-class upgrade! [The man chuckled with the classical old-man kettle-laugh noise.] This might take several hours, you know. Maybe even an entire day, but oh well. Those are the brakes. I know what kind of person you are, youngster. Please, follow me."
Jaysen entered the large room. He quickly grasped how important that room actually is. Several types of machinery were standing by, with several intimidating yellow stand-by lights all over their menace-looking monitors. Being emotionally numb was certainly a cool thing, hence not even a carrion eater devouring a corpse would startle him. "This is where the fun begins.", Jaysen mumbled to himself. "Mister Jaysen, please sit down. We have everything prepared, I need you to sit on that chair and relax." The doctors were covering their faces with gas masks and anti-radiation poisoning suits. "Lucas, please seal the room." A man stood up and pressed a few buttons on the bright, white wall. An iron door slowly scrolled out of a wall cavity and sealed up the whole room."Mister Jaysen, please do not worry. We have to release a few gas chemicals which will make your skin-textiles a lot more malleable. Installing an Hy-mag takes several hours, it won't be easy. Wish us luck. I will now inject a fluid into your bloodstream that will make you fall unconscious, you won't feel anything during the surgery and will wake up later with the upgrades. Please, take off your clothes." said the man. His voice sounded extremely calm and re-assuring. Jaysen took off everything and lied on the cold, wet surgeon table. As the needle got removed out of Jaysen's small-framed forearm, the gas was released from some machinery above.
After an eternity of hours, Jaysen woke up. "Whew, that was one hell of a work. Thought we were going to lose you at first, your physical raw strength is not enough to support the whole thing, but hell, these new Hy-mag capacitors are working way better than I expected in the first place. How are you doing?" The old man smiled, as he closed up to Jaysen's face. "What's... what's this?" Jaysen mumbled, as he slowly moved his trembling arm to his right eye. "Oh, well, you see. We had to sorta like... replace your right eye. Hell, that gas made your smooth skin way too malleable. Hell, your eye just popped out like a midnight piss! But, don't fret kid. This new thing has got you covered. It's working just like the ARES capacitor. Perhaps even better! Thank you, kid. We can do a hella lot of things with these new upgrades. Mind standing up? We've got to test these new legs of yours, champ." said the old man. Jaysen was trembling and feeling weak. His eye machinery was making out a few unsettling noises, as it was readjusting to his eye and enabling the whole potential of the ARES-class capacitor. Enhanced eyesight. Brief human identification. Fast NN connections. 6.7 Space Clicks eyesight. The power of God installed right into your eye. "Listen up. The Saturn bio-cortex requires a bio-gel to work properly. We have already installed a small dosage of it into your brain, but you'll have to make out a constant supply of it if you want to make it work properly" The doctor handed Jaysen a small, blue box. The box itself was rather heavy because of the internal mechanisms. It is filled with bio-gel specifically and exclusively made out for Saturn-class devices."Keep in mind that you're wearing a ten-million credit spinal support. You're more like some sort of machine at this point, I mean, we've installed quite a lot of stuff we had in stock. You were bold enough to allow us to test it on you. Thank you. Welp, what can I say, make sure to uninstall the ARES before you take showers, you may keep the BlueBox cable plugged whenever you want. Just make sure not to leave it unplugged for more than twelve minutes. Your brain is now addicted and fully functional with the gel, be wary though. You might die a horrible, excruciatingly painful death without it. Well, what can I say, champ? Take my advice and keep that tube plugged. Come back if you need more, and make sure not to lose that power supply, or you'll be crawling on the ground like some sort of worm, and you don't want that. Oh, and I'd suggest you to get yourself a better operative codename. A suitable one, possibly. Damn bureaucrats, they want to keep everything in here "classified". Anyway, good luck out there, Paladin. Dolor transit, gloria aeterna est.""Thank you, doc. Ad victoriam, brother, the Imperium shall prevail." said the man, as he stood up in less than a second. All of the missing feelings were now replaced with utmost determination and mental stability, and he knew, he was about to have a bright future in the Core ahead.
