Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Diana Kohl, administrator of Freeport 10 in Tau-37. I find myself in need of the Templar's services, namely those concerning the construction of smaller ships. I'm well aware that the Templar is fully self-sufficient, and doesn't require much in the way of support, but I'm certain there is an arrangement we can reach to facilitate both your needs and our own.
An arrangement can certainly be made. While the Templar herself is indeed fully sufficient in the way of life supporting measures, the raw materials to construct ships, even small one like you request, still need to be acquired before any fabrication can be made. However, logically, this depends on the kind of ship being constructed.
Let me know exactly what you had in mind, and I'll see if we can't find a way to do the job. Assuming the request isn't a fleet of Q-Ships, we should be able to complete it within a timely manner. Until then.
I find myself pleasantly surprised at the speed of your response. Raw materials can be obtained simply enough, I have the credits for that. However, reliable shipyards are another matter entirely, given that the sheer distance between the reliably accessible ones and Freeport 10 make the journey and risk too much to bear financially.
Which is where you come into the equation. I have need of a handful of support craft, particularly those of the snub-craft variety. I would be lying if I said I was expecting trouble near the Freeport in recent days, but I've learnt several lessons well from my past, and the most important of those is to prepare for the worst while hoping for the best.
As such, I'm going to need to place a moderate order of ships. Lets say... 3 Osprey MkII's to fill the role of response ships. 2 CLI-11000 Arrow's, for scouting purposes. 2 Roc's, for the exact reason you suspect a bomber might be needed. Finally, if its within the realm of possibilities for the Templar to produce, I would like to request a Repair Ship as well as a CT-49X Transport.
So, a fairly intensive order, and one I expect will be worth the time invested in manufacturing these ships.
As the Templar's fabrication suite is designed to manufacture snubcraft, the Arrows, Rocs and Ospreys will be but a simple job of gathering the resources. I'll see to it that once materials are acquired, the line gets warmed up. However, the Repair Ship and the CT-49x will be another matter. The Templar was designed with the intent to manufacture small craft, and while I'm not stating that the Repair ship is beyond this, the level of size for the build may take longer than expected. Then there's the transport, which itself is larger than the fore-end auxiliary hangar.
I'll have a talk with Midas and Reeds about this and see if we can't find a way around it. Otherwise, it will likely just be a matter of time to ensure that every piece is placed correctly.
I'll let you know when I have an update, Ms. Kohl. Until then.
Thank you for filling me in on the situation. I'll standby for further updates on the situation, and please allow me to offer the use of Freeport 10's mooring points for the duration of the contract.
